SILC protocol supports AES, SHA-1, SHA-2, PKCS#1, PKCS#3, X.509, OpenPGP, and is being developed in the IETF. The software is delivered as SILC Client for end users, SILC Server for system administrators, and SILC Toolkit for application developers.

Performance Co-Pilot (PCP) is a framework and set of services for supporting system-level performance monitoring and performance management. It provides a unifying abstraction for all of the interesting performance data in a system, and allows client applications to easily retrieve and process any subset of that data using a single API. A client-server architecture allows multiple clients to monitor the same host, and a single client to monitor multiple hosts. Archive logging and replay are integrated so that a client application can use the same API to process real-time data from a host or historical data from an archive.

Release Notes: This release includes the usual bevy of bugfixes, improvements to pmlogger write patterns, as well as changes to many PMDAs and clients to support long options. The pcp-gui package is now released along with the main PCP build, instead of as a separate release (i.e., this release includes both pcp and pcp-gui).

The TeX bidirectional pipe was overhauled to support the context tex engine again. The luatex and lualatex tex engines were enabled. The inline option used by the asymptote.sty LaTeX package and the inlineimage option used for generating external PRC files were fixed.
