ALT Linux is a set of Linux distributions that are based on Sisyphus, an APT-enabled RPM package repository that aims to achieve feature completeness, usability, and security in a sensible and manageable mixture.

Release Notes: An OpenVZ server image along with a template cache has been added. There are also a JeOS installer and a KVM disk image. Starterkits (built on a stable branch) are now more akin to the weekly Regular builds (using development repository), as they've been set up as a quarterly cron job with a week-long beta period; this time, the beta has been done by hand, but the release state looks good enough to begin the process.

synctool is a cluster administration tool that keeps configuration files synchronized across all nodes in a cluster. Nodes may be part of a logical group or class, in which case they need a particular subset of configuration files. synctool can restart daemons when needed, if their relevant configuration files have been changed. synctool can also be used to do patch management or other system administrative tasks.

Release Notes: Many new things were added in this major release. synctool now features node range syntax, which can be used on the command-line as well as in the config file to easily select or define ranges of nodes. Templates are new; they allow you to generate config files on the fly from a stanza file and some variables. synctool can now easily manage multiple clusters using one admin node, and it's also better at handling multiple operating systems. The new purge feature is ideal for making perfect mirrors of directory trees.

Asciidia generates bitmap or vector files from simple ASCII diagrams. It was inspired by ditaa but has a plugin based architecture, which allows it to draw specialized diagrams. Currently-supported diagram types are simple ASCII diagrams and directory trees. Asciidia can directly output SVG and MVG. For additional file formats, an ImageMagick installation is required.

Release Notes: This release fixes a compatibility issue with SVG output for Inkscape, adds previously-missing "option" symbol handling to the EBNF plugin, and adds a Wirth-Style "." character as a termination operator to the EBNF plugin.

LaunchControl is a fully-featured launchd(8) frontend allowing you to manage and debug system and user services on your Mac. It provides everything you need to load, unload, start, create, edit, remove, or troubleshoot launch services. It supports all documented features of launchd, reports potential problems before a job is even started, and makes sure you always create valid configurations. It supports user LaunchAgents and Global and System LaunchAgents/Daemons. It shows all services and their status at a glance, and misconfigured services are highlighted. You can enable or disable services, and find them with a job filter. Not just a plist editor, it provides a dedicated interface for every configuration key with an adaptive interface that displays only information relevant for the selected job.

Release Notes: This release fixes a crash when clicking "Save" after switching from a modified job definition to a new one.

Download Website 12 Mar 18:33 libcsdbg 1.25

libcsdbg is a C++ exception stack tracer. When an exception is thrown, caught, and handled, libcsdbg offers the tools to create and process the exception stack trace, the path the exception has propagated up the call stack, unwinding it up to the section were it was handled. The traces are detailed with demangled function signatures and additional addr2line information (the source code file and line from which each function was called). libcsdbg can use all the well-known objective code file formats (a.out, elf, coff, ecoff, etc.) and can easily be used as the base for your own instrumentation code. libcsdbg transparently loads the symbol tables of the chosen dynamic libraries and of the executable, demangles function symbols to complete signatures, and binds function names to runtime addresses (even for the DSO symbols).

Release Notes: This release brings many significant changes, the most important being the removal of the class csdbg::name_space and the addition of the class csdbg::process. This class encapsulates the process namespace (loaded symbol tables) and thread list, making the csdbg::tracer API a lot simpler. All examples and tutorial executables, DSO, and plugin modules were moved to a separate package (libcsdbg-extra). This release adds lots of needed checks and functionality to the buffered output stream classes and fixes some minor bugs.

It adds new lines to HTTP and ICAP response headers to set X-Infection-Found and X-Virus-ID when a virus is found. With the possibility to scan data sent without a preview, this allow some commercial products like MoveIt DMZ to work with c-icap and squidclamav services. There has been lots of code cleanup and bugfixes.
