AutoLaTeX is a tool for managing small to large LaTeX documents. It detects which files which are used to build the document (included TeX files, BibTeX, figures, etc.), and launches the various different tools (latex, bibtex, makeindex) when the sources files have been changed. It includes a shell-command and bindings for Java (JNI) and Python.

Pies is a Python 2 and Python 3 compatibility layer with the philosophy that all code should be Python 3 code. Starting from this viewpoint means that when running on Python 3, Pies adds virtually no overhead. Instead of providing a bunch of custom methods (leading to Python code which looks out of place on any version), Pies aims to backport as many of the Python 3 API calls, imports, and objects to Python 2 as possible, relying on special syntax only when absolutely necessary.
Release Notes: This release improves cross-Python version ast support.

It also downloads cover art for albums it imports. Then it provides a bouquet of tools for manipulating and accessing your music. Beets also includes a music player that speaks the MPD protocol, so you can play music in your beets library using any MPD client.
Release Notes: This update brings new plugins for fetching acoustic metrics and listening statistics, many more options for the duplicate detection plugin, and flexible options for fetching multiple genres. The “core” of beets gained a new built-in command: beet write updates the metadata tags for files, bringing them back into sync with your database.
