389 Directory Server (formerly Fedora Directory Server) is a full-featured LDAPv3 compliant server. In addition to the standard LDAPv3 operations, it supports multi-master replication, fully online configuration and administration, chaining, virtual attributes, access control directives in the data, Virtual List View, server-side sorting, SASL, TLS/SSL, and many other features. The transactional Berkeley DB 4.2 is used as its data store and a full plug-in API allows developers to extend the the functionality of the server in many ways, and many of the core features of the server are already implemented using this API. The server is very mature, having started out as Netscape Directory Server.

You can then retrieve email and attachments from the database by searching on Date, From, To, Subject, Mailbox, or Body text.

Release Notes: This release fixes a bug causing some accented characters to not be displayed properly in the From and To fields, increments a filename suffix when saving multiple attachments so attachments with the same name are not overwritten, and fixes a bug which caused mbox exportation to crash in some rare circumstances.

grepcidr can be used to filter a list of IP addresses against one or more Classless Inter-Domain Routing (CIDR) specifications, or arbitrary networks specified by an address range. As with grep, there are options to invert matching and load patterns from a file. grepcidr is capable of comparing thousands or even millions of IPs to networks with little memory usage and in reasonable computation time. Gcmc is a front-end language for generating G-code, SVG, and DXF for CNC mills, lathes, laser cutters, and other numerically controlled machines employing G-code, SVG, or DXF. The language is a context-free grammar created to overcome the archaic format of G-code programming, but can be used more generally for many targets. Gcmc aims to be more readable and understandable than G-code and enable programmatic designing. Gcmc makes extensive use of vector mathematics to support the 3D nature of CNC machining. It handles units as millimeters, mils (inch), degrees, and radians and performs automatic conversions where necessary.

Network UPS Tools (also known as NUT) is an extremely powerful and versatile client/server based approach to UPS monitoring. Products from a wide range of vendors (APC, Belkin, Best Power, MGE, Tripp-Lite, etc.) are supported. A shared UPS can be monitored by one host, notifcations being sent to the other hosts via authenticated TCP connections. A Web interface is available, as is a Windows client.

Release Notes: This is the first release after the transition from Subversion to Git. NUT can now be configured to use either OpenSSL or Mozilla NSS for securing client-server connections. Many drivers have been updated, including extensive rewrites of the bcmxcp and apcsmart drivers. The nutdrv_qx driver is a more flexible successor to the blazer_ser/usb drivers, and now handles the Voltronic protocol. The new apcupsd-ups driver is a bridge to Apcupsd NIS servers. Tripp Lite has provided extensive compatibility information and testing results for their USB PDC HID models.
