BallroomDJ is a ballroom music player. It is designed to let the computer choose the music and to be able to play music the entire evening without intervention. It features flexible playlists, music queue management, requests, seeking in songs, speed with pitch control, and an optional audio file organizer. Playlists can have automatic selections based on your choice of dances and how often those dances should play, stops after some number of songs has been played, stops at a particular time, allowing of songs with certain keywords, sequences, and manual selection. Mix all of these in any order and modify them at any time.

Release Notes: This release adds configurable ratings, having a playlist stop after a period of time (as opposed to at a particular time), and selection of the layout theme to use. Bug fixes include editing genres and changing colors. Localization is now complete, and translations may be added.

ngIRCd is a portable IRC daemon written from scratch. It is easy to configure, supports server links (even with original ircds) and runs on hosts with changing IP addresses (such as dial-in networks). Currently supported platforms are AIX, A/UX, Darwin/Mac OS X, FreeBSD, HP-UX, IRIX, Linux, NetBSD, SunOS/Solaris, and Windows with Cygwin.

Release Notes: A new help system documenting all supported IRC commands has been included, support for "server target masks" for a lot of commands has been enhanced, a new configuration variable "IncludeDir" that allows to split the server configuration across multiple files has been implemented, and support for SSL certificate fingerprints has been added.

jminix is a simple embeddable restful JMX console. Embedding JMiniX in a Web app is done simply by declaring a servlet. Deployed as a servlet, it benefits from your Web application configuration such as filters or security constraints.

gjots lets you organize text notes in a convenient, hierarchical way. It can be used for notes, jottings, bits and pieces, recipes, and even PINs and passwords, using encryption. It can also be used to "mind-map" larger compositions like manuals, Web pages, articles, etc. It is a bit like the KDE program "kjots", but uses the GTK library and supports a hierarchy of folders. Files can be output to HTML with an automatic table of contents or to docbook XML. Encryption is supported with ccrypt(1), gpg(1), and openssl(1), so that musings can be kept private.

It provides a generic SVM object interfacing to several different SVM implementations, all making use of the same underlying, efficient kernel implementations. Apart from SVMs and regression, SHOGUN also features a number of linear methods like Linear Discriminant Analysis (LDA), Linear Programming Machine (LPM), (Kernel) Perceptrons, and algorithms to train hidden Markov models. SHOGUN can be used from within C++, Matlab, R, Octave, and Python.

Release Notes: This release switches the build system to using CMake. It adds some fancy interactive demos and ipython notebooks that you can also run in the cloud (see the links for further stats). There are other new features and many internal improvements, bugfixes, and documentation improvements. To speak in numbers, this release merges more than 2000 commits changing almost 400000 lines in more than 7000 files, and increases the number of unit tests from 50 to 600.

Clonezilla is a partition or disk cloning tool similar to Symantec Ghost. It saves and restores only blocks in use on the hard drive if the file system is supported. For unsupported file systems, dd is used instead. It has been used to clone a 5 GB system to 40 clients in about 10 minutes.

Release Notes: The underlying GNU/Linux operating system was upgraded. This release is based on the Debian Sid repository (as of 2013/Oct/29). The Linux kernel was updated to 3.11.6-1. The package drbl was updated to 2.6.8-drbl1, and clonezilla was updated to 3.8.2-drbl1. This release was built with live-build 3, so the live-boot was updated to 3.0.1-1.drbl3, and live-config was updated to 3.0.23-1.drbl2. The uEFI secure boot is now supported in AMD64 Ubuntu-based Clonezilla live, 20131029-saucy. It's not supported in the Debian-based one because Debian does not release any signed EFI pre-bootloader "shim".
