mdocml is a suite of tools for compiling "-mdoc", the roff macro package of choice for BSD manual pages, and "-man", the predominant historical package for UNIX manuals. The mission of mdocml is to deprecate groff, the GNU roff implementation, for displaying -mdoc pages whilst providing token support for -man.

Release Notes: The mdoc(7) to man(7) converter, to be called as mandoc -Tman, is now fully functional. The mandoc(1) utility now supports the -Ios (default operating system) input option, and the -Tutf8 output mode now actually works. The mandocdb(8) utility no longer truncates existing databases when starting to build new ones, but only replaces them when the build actually succeeds.

Fotoxx navigates an image collection using a thumbnail browser to choose images to view or edit. Edit functions include brightness, contrast, color, gamma, white balance, tone mapping, red eyes, sharpen, blur, noise suppression, smart erase, trim (crop), resize, rotate, add text, bend/warp, many art effects, HDR, HDF, stack, and panorama. Edit functions use movable curves and sliders. Feedback is live using the whole image. RAW files can be edited and saved with deep color. Areas or objects can be selected using freehand draw, follow edge, and tone matching. Selections can be edited in place with adjustable blending. They can also be cut and pasted into other images. Any metadata can be edited, reported, and searched (filenames, tags, dates, geotags, comments, captions, ratings, etc.). Collections (arbitrary subsets) can be defined and viewed. Batch functions are available for rename, resize/export, RAW conversion, and more.

Release Notes: Mashup images and text can be moved, resized, and rotated using only the mouse. The Trim and Rotate functions were combined for faster workflow, and guidelines for image leveling can be added with a click. Flatten and Expand brightness distribution were combined for faster workflow. Slide Show can be paused and resumed at a new position, and images with the tag 'pause' will beep and wait for the user to resume. Paint/Clone can paint or erase gradually or fully in one stroke. Several minor improvements in the user interface were made. Edit Translation was broken and two other bugs were fixed.

The Java Algebra System (JAS) is an object oriented, type safe, multi-threaded approach to computer algebra. JAS provides a well designed software library using generic types for algebraic computations implemented in the Java programming language. The library can be used as any other Java software package, or it can be used interactively or interpreted through a Jython or JRuby front end. The focus at the moment is on commutative and solvable polynomials, power-series, multivariate polynomial factorization, Gröbner bases, and applications.

Release Notes: The Android version of JAS, based on Ruboto (JRuby for Android), is now available with signed code and can be directly installed. This release contains new algorithms for least common multiples and a trial greatest common divisor in solvable polynomial rings. Additionally, the Apel-Lassner canonical simplifier for solvable quotients is available. Some refactoring was required to break package dependency cycles. More Findbugs issues have been solved. Java 5 compatibility has been dropped.

F-Engrave generates g-code tool paths for CNC machines using CXF fonts, true type fonts (TTF), or a 2D DXF file. It can generate tool paths for engraving or v-carving text or a DXF design. The output of F-Engrave can be imported into EMC2, MACH3, or other machine controllers. F-Engrave output can be reopened by F-Engrave for later editing. F-Engrave designs can also be exported as SVG files.

Release Notes: F-Engrave can determine which side of the loops in a DXF design need to be cut. Previously, the input needed to be formatted so that the loops in the design were clockwise or counter clockwise to determine whether the inside or outside of the loop was cut. In addition, there is a new “V-Carve Accuracy” setting. This new setting can be used to ignore small features in a design. This is especially useful for small DXF design imperfections that result in bad v-carve tool paths.

Each blog can be oldest post first or newest post first. Any blog can be set to take public posts or allow comments. Admin functions include archiving all blogs, and viewing and deleting posts and comments. Posts can also utilize a semiotic bolding of definitions and automatic linking to all definitions. Anti-spam functionality is included, with an IP-based block list. All functionality is in one CGI file smaller than 15 KB.
