Stunnix Advanced Web Server is a Web server for putting Web sites onto CD-ROMs, DVDs, FlashDisks, and other readonly media to be used on any typical system. Sites can be scripted with PHP, Python, Java, or Perl and can be driven by MySQL or SQLite databases. All required software programs are designed to reside on the CD-ROM to avoid the need to install software on the user's computer. The Web serving core is based on Apache 1.3.x, and has additional functionality to detect and use free ports and automatically start a browser on each platform. Desktop applications can also be created with it.

Release Notes: Now Apache 2 for Windows shipped with SAWS also supports HTTP over named pipes to avoid firewall warnings. Packages of Portable Firefox for Windows have been updated: the GUI no longer locks while the browser is waiting for the server's response over a named pipe. Minor improvements have been introduced.

The sysklogd package implements two system log daemons. The syslogd daemon is an enhanced version of the standard Berkeley utility program. It is responsible for providing logging of messages received from programs and facilities on the local host as well as from remote hosts. The klogd daemon listens to kernel message sources and is responsible for prioritizing and processing operating system messages. It can run as a client of syslogd or optionally as a standalone program. Klogd can be used to decode EIP addresses if it can find a System.map file.

Release Notes: With this release, several internal patches have been applied to increase source code stability. The Coverity SCAN tool has been used to parse the whole implementation and fix in-depth bugs.

RubyDNS is a high-performance DNS server that can be easily integrated into other projects or used as a stand-alone daemon (via RExec). By default, it uses rule-based pattern matching. Results can be hard-coded, computed, fetched from a remote DNS server, or fetched from a local cache, depending on requirements. In addition, RubyDNS includes a high-performance asynchronous DNS resolver built on top of EventMachine. This module can be used by itself in client applications without using the full RubyDNS server stack.

QPass is a password manager application. It enables you to store your confidential data encrypted. All entries are stored in a single-file database encrypted using the AES-256 algorithm. Each entry can contain a name, URL, username, password, and description. QPass can also generate random passwords based on mouse movements.

Release Notes: This release adds an option to modify CSV column organization. There are minor bugfixes. The format of the database has been modified (PBKDF2). This version uses the PBKDF2-HMAC-SHA256 algorithm to derive encryption keys. A Dutch translation has been added. A buffer overflow bug has been fixed.

360-FAAR (Firewall Analysis Audit and Repair) is an offline, command line, Perl firewall policy manipulation tool to filter, compare to logs, merge, translate, and output firewall commands for new policies, in Checkpoint dbedit, Cisco ASA, or ScreenOS commands. It is all contained in one file. It can read policy and logs for: Checkpoint FW1 (in odumper.csv / logexport format), Netscreen ScreenOS (in get config / syslog format), and Cisco ASA (show run / syslog format). It uses both inclusive and exclusive CIDR and text filters, permitting you to split large policies into smaller ones for virutalization at the same time as removing unused connectivity. It supports policy to log association, object translation, rulebase reordering and simplification, rule moves, and duplicate matching automatically. It allows you to seamlessly move rules to where you need them. 'print' mode creates a spreadsheet for your audit needs with one command.

Release Notes: This release adds the 'mergelog' mode to merge binary log entries from one config with another and significantly updates the user interface. All configs can be loaded from the 'load' menu instead of specifying them on the command line. This release adds 'verbose' switches to 'print' and 'rr' modes so that screen output can be switched off, and all 'end.' key words have been changed to simply '.' to reduce the number of keystrokes needed. Entering '0' now adds all options, and '.' chooses the default if available. The netscreen output stage now uses a default zone if none are specified.

It can also compare two Skype databases, show the differences in chats and contacts, and copy any spotted differences from one database to another. Skype uses local database files to keep its chat history, and older messages tend to get lost as computers get upgraded or changed.
