Jack users will be happy to see that the session is kept alive. The test suite was rewritten, many bugs were fixed, and a large part of the code base was refactored. GStreamer EncodeBin support, an audio-synth baseclass, and a pattern control source that simplifies the sequencer core were added. The gst-buzztard module is now more modular. There are a few new plugins (sidsyn, wave-replay, and wavetabsyn).

Gameclock is a fairly simple application designed to track the time spent thinking by the players during a chess game. Various clock engines are available (speed chess, fisher chess, board games, or hourglass). The graphical interface is keyboard-driven and is intended to be minimal and simple. The code is made to be extensible to other game types.

Release Notes: This release fixes an old display bug in the first window, removes hours from the display, fixes a critical bug with fisher which was giving 10s advantage to the left clock, switches from miliseconds to tenths of a second, and merges the status bars back into one.

cmogstored is an alternative, C implementation of the "mogstored" storage daemon used for MogileFS storage nodes. This implementation allows MogileFS storage nodes to be deployed with a minimal memory/filesystem footprint with no additional runtime dependencies. This implements all HTTP/1.1 DAV functionality needed by MogileFS clients as well as the mogstored stream protocol. This project is still in the early stages of development and not directly affiliated with the MogileFS project.

Release Notes: cmogstored now works around an EPOLL_CTL_MOD race condition in old Linux kernels. This workaround is unneeded and disabled on Linux v3.0.59, v3.2.37, v3.4.26, v3.5.7.3, v3.7.3, and v3.8. There are also minor cleanups and tiny optimizations.

Check_MK is a complex addon for Nagios/Icinga and consists of three subprojects. The check and inventory system Check_MK is a general purpose Nagios plugin for retrieving data. It adopts a new approach for collecting data and obsoletes NRPE, check_by_ssh, NSClient, and check_snmp. It features a significant reduction of CPU use on the Nagios host and automatic inventory of items to be checked, and is especially useful with larger Nagios installations. "MK Livestatus" gives immediate and fast access to live and historic Nagios status data. It's a supported backend for many addons including NagVis, NagiosBP, and Thruk. "Check_MK Multisite" is a feature complete replacement for the Nagios GUI, and uses MK Livestatus as a backend. It is very fast, and supports efficient distributed monitoring.

Release Notes: This is the next innovation release of Check_MK 1.2.1. It includes a lot of bugfixes in multisite, wato, and the core of Check_MK. It comes with some small improvements in the flexible notification feature, the checkboxes in views, and WATO.

sg3_utils is a package of utilities for accessing devices that use SCSI command sets. Most utilities issue a single command and display the response, while some work at a slightly higher level. The package is written for Linux and has been ported to FreeBSD, Solaris, Tru64, and Windows. There is an earlier version of this package for Linux 2.2 series kernels called sg_utils.
