SymmetricDS provides file and database synchronization with support for multi-master replication, filtered synchronization, and transformation across the network in a heterogeneous environment. It supports multiple subscribers with one-direction or bi-directional, asynchronous data replication. It uses Web and database technologies to replicate data as a scheduled or near-realtime operation. The software has been designed to scale for a large number of nodes, work across low-bandwidth connections, and withstand periods of network outage. It works with most operating systems, file systems, and databases, including Oracle, MySQL, MariaDB, PostgreSQL, MS SQL Server (including Azure), IBM DB2, H2, HSQLDB, Derby, Firebird, Interbase, Informix, Greenplum, SQLite (including Android), Sybase ASE, and Sybase ASA (SQL Anywhere) databases.

Release Notes: This release fixes bugs in DbFill automated testing, DDL syncing, routing, and Derby data capture. It adds support for LO data type on PostgreSQL and tables with names greater than 50 characters.

Screenshot

Seed7 is a general purpose programming language. It is a higher level language compared to Ada, C++, and Java. In Seed7, new statements and operators can be declared easily. Functions with type results and type parameters are more elegant than a template or generics concept. Object orientation is used when it brings advantages and not in places when other solutions are more obvious. Although Seed7 contains several concepts of other programming languages, it is generally not considered as a direct descendant of any other programming language.

Release Notes: The chapters about predefined statements and the foreign function interface in the manual have been improved. Links to EBNF syntax descriptions and exceptions have been added to the HTML version of the manual. The FAQ answers regarding integer division and garbage collection have been improved. The library shell.s7i has been improved to define the functions getSearchPath and environment. The function path(PROGRAM) has been improved to return accurate results under all circumstances. The function conv_from_os_stri() has been added to striutl.c. Parameter names in several C and Seed7 files have been changed to fit to each other.

Screenshot

DNSCrypt OSX Client is a user interface to conveniently start/stop dnscrypt-proxy and change DNS settings. It was specifically designed to use DNSCrypt with the OpenDNS public DNS resolvers. It includes a preference pane, a menu bar indicator, and a set of scripts for interacting with the system.

Release Notes: The bundled dnscrypt proxy has been updated to version 1.1.0-RC1. Queries for nowtv.com and fritz.com are now bypassing dnscrypt. The user interface doesn't update the DNS settings any more when using an interactive shell.

Download Website 09 Sep 21:04 dnscrypt-proxy 1.1.0-RC1

Screenshot

dnscrypt-proxy acts as a DNS proxy between a regular client, like a DNS cache or an operating system stub resolver, and a DNSCrypt-aware resolver, like OpenDNS. The DNSCrypt protocol focuses on securing communications between a client and its first-level resolver. While not providing end-to-end security, it protects the local network (which is often the weakest link in the chain) against man-in-the-middle attacks. It also provides some confidentiality to DNS queries.

Release Notes: dnscrypt-proxy can now use plugins to alter/inspect queries and responses before and after they are relayed. The default max payload size has been trimmed to 1,252 bytes for compatibility with some scary network setups. The --local-port and --resolver-port options are gone for good. They had been deprecated for a while.

Dar is a shell command that makes backup of a directory tree and files. It can run commands between slices, before and after saving some defined files or directories (for a proper database backup, for example), and quickly retrieve individual files from differential and full backups. Several external GUIs exist as alternatives to its CLI interface, like kdar, DarGUI, SaraB, etc.

Release Notes: This release brings several bugfixes concerning: memory management, a backward compatibility problem with dar_xform and old archives (older than 2.4.0) and a crash met while creating an archive with on-fly isolation. It also brings some acceleration while listing the contents of a database, and improves dar behavior when reading a corrupted encrypted archive.
