Download Website 23 Aug 00:00 tvpvrd 4.3.0

Screenshot

tvpvrd is a PVR daemon for Linux that offers the ability to schedule and manage TV recordings using one or multiple installed analogue TV capture cards, e.g. Hauppauge. The daemon is interfaced either through its full command language via a provided command line shell or through a basic (built-in) Web interface provided by the built in micro Web server. Download Website 22 Aug 21:26 GNU Parallel 20120822 ('Boson')

Screenshot

GNU parallel is a shell tool for executing jobs in parallel locally or using remote computers. A job is typically a single command or a small script that has to be run for each of the lines in the input. The typical input is a list of files, a list of hosts, a list of users, a list of URLs, or a list of tables. If you use xargs today you will find GNU parallel very easy to use, as GNU parallel is written to have the same options as xargs. If you write loops in shell, you will find GNU parallel may be able to replace most of the loops and make them run faster by running several jobs in parallel. GNU parallel makes sure output from the commands is the same output as you would get had you run the commands sequentially. This makes it possible to use output from GNU parallel as input for other programs.

Release Notes: Due to a bugfix, the main flow has changed, making this release beta quality.

Download Website 22 Aug 21:25 phlyMail 4.03.50 (4.4 Early Preview)

Download Website 22 Aug 21:03 fio 2.0.9

Screenshot

fio is an I/O tool meant to be used both for benchmark and stress/hardware verification. It has support for 19 different types of I/O engines (sync, mmap, libaio, posixaio, SG v3, splice, null, network, syslet, guasi, solarisaio, and more), I/O priorities (for newer Linux kernels), rate I/O, forked or threaded jobs, and much more. It can work on block devices as well as files. fio accepts job descriptions in a simple-to-understand text format. Several example job files are included. fio displays all sorts of I/O performance information, including complete IO latencies and percentiles. Fio is in wide use in many places, for both benchmarking, QA, and verification purposes. It supports Linux, FreeBSD, NetBSD, OpenBSD, OS X, OpenSolaris, AIX, HP-UX, Android, and Windows.

Release Notes: A slew of Windows fixes, making the POSIX bits more complete. A fix for premature freeing of disk utilization structures, and missing locking of the same. fio dumps current progress if sent a USR1 signal. Includes git version in version output. A fix for a crash with more than ~500 jobs. Man page updates. A fix for wrap-around behavior for time-based sequential read jobs. A fix for a "file hash not empty" warning on blktrace replay. A fix for compilation on the MIPS architecture. Improved display of commit-rate while running. A fix for fallocate failing on some Linux systems. Includes an end-of-run timestamp in output.

Download No website 22 Aug 21:01 quIRC 0.9.5

Screenshot

quIRC is a lightweight console-mode IRC client. It uses terminal escape sequences to provide a clean character-cell based interface, handling things like multiple channels and servers (using tabs), input line editing (with bash-like keystrokes), and backscroll.

Avatar

Release Notes: This release fixes a few bugs (mainly cosmetic) and adds merging of join/part/quit messages. For example, a series of consecutive joins will get merged into a single line like this: "=foo=bar=baz= have joined #metasyntactic". This is particularly useful in the event of netsplits. One problem to note is that of timestamps; the timestamp shown will be that of the most recent join (or part, or quit) in the merged block. As a workaround, quIRC refuses to merge lines whose timestamps differ by more than 5 seconds (this should be a long enough time to capture an entire netsplit event).
