DictEm is an extremely customizable DICT client for (X)Emacs. It implements all functions of the client part of the DICT protocol (RFC-2229). Unlike dictionary.el, it widely uses autocompletion that is used for selecting a dictionary and search strategy. It provides several hooks that may be used for buffer postprocessing. Built-in hyperlinking and a highlighting mechanism are based on this ability. It supports the mechanism of virtual dictionaries that can be used for grouping dictionaries from different DICT servers into the client-side virtual dictionary.
Release Notes: A flag (interactive) was removed from the following functions: dictem-select-strategy, dictem-select-database, dictem-read-query, and dictem-run. This fixes Debian bug #564251.
Universal Password Manager (UPM) allows you to store usernames, passwords, URLs, etc. in an encrypted database protected by one master password. Its three strongest features are simplicity (it provides a small number of very strong features with no clutter), the ability to run cross-platform, and database sharing. Rather than having many separate databases (home, work, etc.), database sharing allows you store your database at a remote location (password protected HTTP URL, for example) and then have UPM automatically keep your local database in sync with the remote database.

Knotter is a highly configurable interlace designer. Interlace patterns are a kind of design historically used as a decorations in many places and by different cultures (some examples are Celtic knotworks and Islamic interlaces). Knotter aims to allow its user to design such patterns in an intuitive way and to provide easy ways to integrate the result into external general-purpose graphic software. For this purpose, designs created within Knotter can be saved in a custom human-readable format and exported as Scalable Vector Graphics and in a wide number of raster image formats.

XINS is a technology used to define, create, and invoke remote APIs. XINS is specification-oriented. When API specifications are written (in XML), XINS will transform them to HTML-based documentation and Java code for both the client-side and the server-side. The communication is based on HTTP. XINS competes with the complex SOAP technology. Main design goals include simplicity, scalability, and testability. XINS is not only a specification technology, but also an application development framework. It offers transaction logging, unique log documentation, and active code generation.
Release Notes: This release candidate prepares the pom for the final release and has been tested with Java 7.
web2ldap is a full-featured Web-based LDAPv3 client written in Python. It is designed to run either as with stand-alone built-in Web server or under the control of another Web server with FastCGI support (e.g. Apache with mod_fastcgi). It has support for various LDAPv3 bind methods and a powerful built-in schema browser. HTML templates are supported for displaying and editing entries, and LDIF templates can be used for quickly adding new entries. A built-in X.509 parser displays a detailed view of certificates and CRLs with active links.
Release Notes: The module ipaddr-py is now required for better IPv6 support. Some improvements/fixes have been made to dynamic selection of plugin classes. The status line now displays information from the bound user's entry. Some more bugfixes have been made.
pkg-config is a system for managing library compile/link flags that works with automake and autoconf. It replaces the ubiquitous *-config scripts you may have seen with a single tool.
Release Notes: The check for the POSIX shell used in tests has been improved. The integration of the internal Glib has been improved. Other minor bugs have been fixed.
