Gerbil consists of an interactive visualization tool targeted at multispectral and hyperspectral image data, and a toolbox of common algorithms, e.g. for segmentation. Multispectral imaging has been gaining popularity and has been gradually applied to many fields besides remote sensing. However, due to the high dimensionality of the data, both human observers and computers have difficulty interpreting this wealth of information. Gerbil facilitates the visualization of the relationship between spectral and topological information in a novel fashion. It puts emphasis on the spectral gradient, which is shown to provide enhanced information for many reflectance analysis tasks. It also includes a rich toolbox for evaluation of image segmentation and other algorithms in the multispectral domain. The parallel coordinates visualization technique is combined with hashing for a highly interactive visual connection between spectral distribution, spectral gradient, and topology.

Release Notes: This release adds more and better segmentation functionality (including unsupervised segmentation), compatibility with current libraries and compilers, and a variety of other improvements and bugfixes.

Portable Computing Language (pocl) aims to become an efficient implementation of the OpenCL standard. In addition to producing an easily-portable Open Source implementation, another major goal of the project is improving performance portability of OpenCL programs with compiler optimizations, reducing the need for target-dependent manual optimizations. At the core of pocl is a set of LLVM passes used to statically parallelize multiple work items with the kernel compiler, even in the presence of work group barriers. This enables parallelization of the fine-grained static concurrency in the work groups in multiple ways (SIMD, VLIW, superscalar, etc.). The code base is modularized to allow easy adding of new "device drivers" in the host-device layer. A generic multithreaded "target driver" is included. It allows running OpenCL applications on a host which supports the pthread library with multithreading at the work group granularity.

Release Notes: Even though the OpenCL 1.2 standard is not yet implemented fully and contains known bugs, pocl is now considered ready for wider testing. It compiles and runs successfully most of the Rodinia benchmark, all of the ViennaCL test cases, and most of the OpenCL Programming Guide samples.

Download No website 17 Aug 21:57 R128GAIN 1.0-alpha-4

R128GAIN is an FFmpeg and SoX-based EBU R128 compliant loudness scanner for audio and video files. It helps you normalize the loudness of your audio and video files to the same level.

Release Notes: This release improves the performance dramatically. The core library "lib1770" was restructured in order to avoid duplicated computations. Scanning the EBU R128 test vector demonstrates that there is a performance boost of about 40% (without true peak computation). The new "lib1770" now supports parallel computations. As demonstrated by the multi-threaded "example2" program compared to the sequential "example1" program, parallelism may give another performance boost of about 50% (not yet used by R128GAIN).

Download Website 17 Aug 21:36 Dnsmasq 2.63

Dnsmasq is a lightweight, easy to configure DNS forwarder and DHCP server. It is designed to provide DNS and (optionally) DHCP to a small network. It can serve the names of local machines which are not in the global DNS. Dnsmasq supports static and dynamic DHCP leases and BOOTP/TFTP for network booting of diskless machines.

Release Notes: The main addition in this release is a new mode, --bind-dynamic, which both avoids binding the wildcard IP address and copes with dynamically created network interfaces, thus removing the main limitations of the two existing network modes.
