rmligs is a Perl script to remove incorrectly-used ligatures from German LaTeX documents. It changes words like Auflage to Auf"|lage. The input may be in German LaTeX-like encoding, latin1, or utf8.
Release Notes: This release fixes an off-by-one bug in words with characters encoded like o".
cpulimit is a simple program that attempts to limit the CPU usage of a process (expressed in percentage, not in CPU time). This is useful to control batch jobs when you don't want they eat too much CPU. It does not act on the nice value or other scheduling priority details, but on the real CPU usage. Also, it is able to adapt itself to the overall system load, dynamically and quickly.
Release Notes: CPUlimit can now launch programs appended to its commandline. It will attempt to automatically detect the number of cores/CPUs on a machine, but this guess may be overridden by the user. CPUlimit will no longer attempt to throttle itself. Changing the priority of CPUlimit is now more flexible and occurs less often.
zlib is designed to be a free, general-purpose, legally unencumbered, lossless data-compression library for use on virtually any computer hardware and operating system. The zlib data format is itself portable across platforms. Unlike the LZW compression method used in Unix compress(1), the compression method currently used in zlib essentially never expands the data. (LZW can double or triple the file size in extreme cases.) zlib's memory footprint is also independent of the input data and can be reduced, if necessary, at some cost in compression.
Release Notes: Many portability improvements have been made. A bug in gzclose_w() when gzwrite() failed to allocate memory has been fixed. Support for "x" (O_EXCL) and "e" (O_CLOEXEC) modes has been added to gzopen(). A type mismatch between get_crc_table() and crc_table has been fixed. Many other changes have been made.

Dnsmasq is a lightweight, easy to configure DNS forwarder and DHCP server. It is designed to provide DNS and (optionally) DHCP to a small network. It can serve the names of local machines which are not in the global DNS. The DHCP server integrates with the DNS server and allows machines with DHCP-allocated addresses to appear in the DNS with names configured either in each host or in a central configuration file. Dnsmasq supports static and dynamic DHCP leases and BOOTP/TFTP for network booting of diskless machines.
Release Notes: This bugfix release fixes problems with the Router advertisement feature which could result in totally missing advertisements or no response to router solicitations.
Wnotes are small, self-contained text notes for X Window System desktops. You can create, type, cut-and-paste, and save notes in any combination you like. Wnotes let you store notes and their window configurations using any database which accepts input from the Unix shell. It is compatible with most Linux and Unix desktops. The source code package includes sdb, a simple note database written as a bash script, and other examples of how to use Wnotes.
Release Notes: This release adds the ability to change the background and text colors of open notes by clicking the right mouse button, much-improved visual feedback when selecting text, and better cursor positioning at carriage returns and soft line breaks.
The OpenSSL Project is a collaborative effort to develop a robust, commercial-grade, fully featured, and Open Source toolkit implementing the Secure Sockets Layer (SSL v2/v3) and Transport Layer Security (TLS v1) as well as a full-strength general-purpose cryptography library.

The TLS 1.0 record version number is no longer used in the initial client hello if renegotiating. tkeylen in now initialized properly when encrypting CMS messages. In FIPS mode, composite ciphers are no longer used, as they are not approved.

Error handling in EvDocumentFactory was improved. Substitute font name and file are now included in the font list. Document metadata is now copied to the new file when saving a copy. Several minor bugs were fixed.
Absolute Linux is a lightweight Slackware derivative that uses an Icewm, pcmanfm, ROX-Filer, ivman, and others to create a lightweight yet easy to use distribution. Installation is text-based but simplified, and all packages are installed at once. It can run on a Pentium II and above, including SMP systems. A minimum 128MB RAM is recommended. It features ease of browsing any connected device in pcmanfm, and an auto-popup menu for inserted playable media. "Restricted" codecs are available to those eligible via a root-user installer. There is a large range of software included: Google Chromium (compiled on Absolute), OpenOffice, Mplayer, GIMP, K3B, FileZilla, and many more.
Release Notes: New versions of Xorg and kernel since the last release. A new screen resolution changer (usable on a per-user basis). LibreOffice is in "Extra" (no more "CD2"; all auxiliary packages are now in "Extra", which seems more logical.) Updated multimedia libraries and their installer, and new MPlayer. Several little tweaks.
4MLinux is a miniature Linux distribution focusing on four capabilities: maintenance (by using it as a system rescue live CD), multimedia (for example, for playing video DVDs), miniserver (using the inetd daemon), and mystery (meaning console games).
Release Notes: This release includes a minimal toolchain from Fedora 16 that makes it possible to compile Linux kernel and other software. The edition has been created for compiling the programs that will be included in future 4MLinux 4.x series. There is no dependency tracking in 4MLinux, so this may be a useful tool for developers who are interested in building fully customized Linux operating systems from scratch.
crpcut is the Compartmented Robust Posix C++ Unit Test system. crpcut (pronounced "Crap Cut") runs all test cases in their own process and their own working directory, which makes it perfectly normal to test that asserts do trap, and the test suite continues even in the event of an unexpected SIGSEGV. By using the C++11 features long available in GCC, the tests are extremely easy to write.
Release Notes: This minor feature enhancement adds a new command line parameter --timeout-multiplier=factor, which extends all checked timeouts. This allows the safety guards against no-progress bugs even if an auto builder runs unit tests in a severely slowed down environment, like a code coverage collector or valgrind.

Tor is a network of virtual tunnels that allows people and groups to improve their privacy and security on the Internet. It also enables software developers to create new communication tools with built-in privacy features. It provides the foundation for a range of applications that allow organizations and individuals to share information over public networks without compromising their privacy. Individuals can use it to keep remote Websites from tracking them and their family members. They can also use it to connect to resources such as news sites or instant messaging services that are blocked by their local Internet service providers (ISPs).
Release Notes: This release updates the addresses for two of the eight directory authorities, fixes some potential anonymity and security issues, and fixes several crash bugs. Tor 0.2.1.x has reached its end-of-life. Those Tor versions have many known flaws, and nobody should be using them. You should upgrade. If you're using a Linux or BSD distribution and its packages are obsolete, stop using those packages and upgrade anyway.

SymmetricDS provides file and database synchronization with support for multi-master replication, filtered synchronization, and transformation across the network in a heterogeneous environment. It supports multiple subscribers with one-direction or bi-directional, asynchronous data replication. It uses Web and database technologies to replicate data as a scheduled or near-realtime operation. The software has been designed to scale for a large number of nodes, work across low-bandwidth connections, and withstand periods of network outage. It works with most operating systems, file systems, and databases, including Oracle, MySQL, MariaDB, PostgreSQL, MS SQL Server (including Azure), IBM DB2, H2, HSQLDB, Derby, Firebird, Interbase, Informix, Greenplum, SQLite (including Android), Sybase ASE, and Sybase ASA (SQL Anywhere) databases.
Release Notes: This release adds conflict detection and resolution for multi-master synchronization, and includes new features and improvements. Push/pull synchronization uses multiple threads for performance and control. Multi-server mode for running multiple nodes in the same instance is fully enabled by default. New utilities are included for administration and data import/export. Initial load automatically orders tables by constraints.

Bison can now generate IELR(1) and canonical LR(1) parser tables in place of its traditional LALR(1) parser tables. Fixes were made for %error-verbose syntax error messages. Many other improvements and bugfixes were made.
