Download Website 23 Jun 09:00 GNU Parallel 20120622 ('Chiang Mai')

Screenshot

GNU parallel is a shell tool for executing jobs in parallel locally or using remote computers. A job is typically a single command or a small script that has to be run for each of the lines in the input. The typical input is a list of files, a list of hosts, a list of users, a list of URLs, or a list of tables. If you use xargs today you will find GNU parallel very easy to use, as GNU parallel is written to have the same options as xargs. If you write loops in shell, you will find GNU parallel may be able to replace most of the loops and make them run faster by running several jobs in parallel. GNU parallel makes sure output from the commands is the same output as you would get had you run the commands sequentially. This makes it possible to use output from GNU parallel as input for other programs.

Release Notes: '-L n --pipe' will use records of n lines. This is useful when processing data that have fixed records with a fixed number of lines (e.g. fastq). --filter-hosts will remove down hosts. For each remote host, the program checks that login through ssh works. If not, the host will not be used. Currently you can not put --filter-hosts in a profile, $PARALLEL, /etc/parallel/config, or similar. --pipe now uses fork() instead of busy wait. The performance should be better on computers with more than 10 cores while remaining the same on computers with fewer cores.

Download Website 23 Jun 05:55 WANPIPE 3.5.27

Screenshot

WANPIPE S-series is a family of intelligent multi-protocol WAN and ADSL adapters that support data transfer rates up to 8Mbps. All WAN protocols supported by WANPIPE are implemented in firmware and run on the card. An advantage of an intelligent adapter is that it offloads the system CPU and improves stability. By adding a Sangoma WAN/ADSL component to the Linux kernel, one can create a powerful multi-T1/ADSL router/firewall with proven reliability of Linux. Sangoma S-series cards support an optional on board T1/E1 CSU/DSU that eliminates all external components of a traditional routing solution: i.e. T1/E1 line can be directly connected to the card. WANPIPE supports the following protocols, ATM, ADSL, Frame Relay, PPP, MULTILINK PPP, CHDLC, X25(API), BitStreaming (API), BiSync(API), and SDLC(API). Furthermore, WANPIPE supports custom API development such as: Credit card verification, Voice-over IP, Satellite Comm. All device drivers are part of the standard Linux Kernel distribution.

Release Notes: This release added W400 GSM support for Asterisk/Dahdi and FreeSWITCH/FreeTDM. Support was provided for the B610 FXS, B610 Single FXS board, B500 4 port BRI board, Dahdi 2.6, and Linux 3.2.6. Numerous bugs were fixed.

It implements routing protocols for IPv4 and IPv6 and a unified means to configure them.

Release Notes: Numerous bugfixes.

Download Website 23 Jun 05:54 zrep 0.3

Screenshot

zrep provides an easy-to-use program to manage zfs filesystem replication and failover. No configuration files are required. The program is developed under Solaris, but may work with any up to date zfs implementation. The executable is a single script. Initialization does a full data copy, but subsequent syncs are incrementals. It uses internal locking to make sure there is no danger of overlap if you just shove it in cron to run every minute. Design target is more "near-time replication", since the sync can be run every minute or more. However, it could conceivably be used for "backup" purposes as well.

Release Notes: This release added some support for Sol10u8, and possibly improved support for non-Solaris systems if you force "oldflag" to be true. A bug in list_autosnaps() was fixed. An issue with "zrep clear" deleting ALL snapshots instead of just zrep ones was fixed.

Download Website 23 Jun 05:48 ViewVC 1.1.15

Screenshot

ViewVC (formerly known as ViewCVS) is a Python/CGI-based system for viewing and interacting with Subversion and CVS repositories through your Web browser. It can browse directories, view changelogs, generate diffs, view arbitrary revisions, and display annotated ("blame") listings. It has full support for tags and branches, and contains a database-backed query system like Bonsai. It was initially based on the cvsweb work by Henner Zeller, but has been ported to Python and dramatically enhanced.

Release Notes: Support for remote Subversion repository browsing was overhauled (that is, where the repository lives on a machine other than the one on which ViewVC is running), effectively bringing parity with the local Subversion repository support. A small security bug in the local Subversion views was fixed. A regression in RSS feed support was fixed.

Download No website 23 Jun 05:46 Aspose.Pdf for Java 3.2.0

Screenshot

Aspose.Pdf is a Java component to create PDF documents without using Adobe Acrobat. It supports floating boxes, PDF form fields, PDF attachments, security, footnotes and end notes, multiple-column documents, tables of contents, lists of tables, nested tables, rich text formatting, images, hyperlinks, JavaScript, annotations, bookmarks, headers, footers, and much more. The PDF content can be specified with API calls, XML files, or XSL-FO files. It also enables you to convert HTML, XSL-FO, and Excel files into PDF.

Release Notes: TrueType fonts are now supported during PDF generation. The HTML to PDF conversion feature was greatly improved with support for some new style tags. The XML to PDF conversion feature was also improved significantly. Support for adding buffered images to PDF documents was provided. Internal code optimizations were made to minimize the creation of temporary objects. A new overloaded method was introduced in the ImageInfo class.

Download Website 23 Jun 05:43 LimeSurvey 1.92+ Build 120623

Screenshot

LimeSurvey (formerly PHPSurveyor) is a Web application that interacts with MySQL, MSSQL, or Postgres to develop surveys, publish surveys, and collect responses to surveys. Once a survey has been created, data can be inserted into the survey either by a "pretty" public screen which presents each question one at a time, or by a quick and nasty data entry screen. It includes the capacity to generate individualized "tokens", so that invitations can be issued to participants. It also has the capacity to set conditions on whether questions will display (branching), numerous question types, and a basic statistics function.

Avatar

Release Notes: A dozen bugfixes and language updates were included. All users are strongly encouraged to update to this newest release at their earliest convenience.

Download Website 23 Jun 05:43 Tor-ramdisk 20120622

Screenshot

Tor-ramdisk is a uClibc-based micro Linux distribution whose only purpose is to host a Tor server in an environment that maximizes security and privacy. Tor is a network of virtual tunnels that allows people and groups to improve their privacy and security on the Internet. Security is enhanced in tor-ramdisk by employing a monolithically compiled GRSEC/PAX patched kernel and hardened system tools. Privacy is enhanced by turning off logging at all levels so that even the Tor operator only has access to minimal information. Finally, since everything runs in ephemeral memory, no information survives a reboot, except for the Tor configuration file and the private RSA key, which may be exported and imported by FTP or SSH.

Avatar

Release Notes: Tor was updated to 0.2.2.37, BusyBox to 1.20.1, and the kernel to 3.4.2 plus Gentoo's hardened-patches-3.4.2-2.extras. The MIPS port also incorporated these changes, but for this architecture the kernel was kept at vanilla 3.2.5.
