DAE Tools is cross-platform equation-oriented process modelling, simulation, and optimization software. Various types of processes (lumped or distributed, steady-state or dynamic) can be modelled and optimized. They may range from very simple to those which require complex operating procedures. Equations can be ordinary or discontinuous, where discontinuities are automatically handled by the framework. Model reports containing all information about a model can be exported in XML MathML format, automatically creating high-quality documentation. The simulation results can be visualized, plotted, and/or exported into various formats.
Release Notes: This release adds integration speed improvements (no need for a memory copy from/to the DAE solver, better integration step control, and an option to avoid sparse matrix recreations after a discontinuity), adds support for units, variables, and parameters, adds animated 2D plots, lets equations have optional scaling, improves data reporting speed, adds a new distribution format (Python disutils), includes a Mac OS X port, supports information about the progress of simulation/optimization activity, and adds other small improvements and minor bugfixes.
SALI (Sara Automatic Linux Installer) is a tool that allows you to install Linux on multiple machines at once. It support several protocols for downloading by way of aria2 to install a machine. SALI is mostly used in cluster setups.
Release Notes: The configuration of the network interfaces during startup has been changed. The check of whether your image server is reachable has been moved to the installation process. Support for PPC64 has been improved.
NoMachine NX is a fast terminal server and desktop virtualization system based on the X11 protocol. NX is an order of magnitude faster than VNC or X11 and can run on bandwidth as narrow as 10 kBit/sec. In addition, NX translates and embeds the MS Windows Terminal Server and VNC protocols into X/NX, enabling users to compress and accelerate remote Windows and VNC sessions. The NX project provides a suite of libraries and X11 proxying agents implementing efficient compression and optimized transport of X11, SMB, IPP, HTTP, and arbitrary protocols like audio and video over the Internet.
Release Notes: These new packages include the updated version of NX Client for Windows and an additional check to verify the validity of the plugin archives to be downloaded on the end-user's machine.
VMware allows you to run 'virtual machines' inside a Linux host. It is not an emulator. It provides a virtual computer within the host which can boot whichever OS you decide to put on the filesystem image that is used as a harddrive. It will run DOS 6.22, Win 3.1, Win9x, WinNT/2000/XP/2003, Linux, Novell, and more. The only main requirement is a 400 MHz or better machine, along with lots of RAM (128M minimum, 256M recommended).
Release Notes: A memory corruption when loading Checkpoint files has been fixed. (This security issue has been reported as CVE-2012-3288.) A remote device denial of service has been fixed. (This security issue has been reported as CVE-2012-3289.) Various minor guest issues have been resolved.
Midgard is a persistent storage framework. It provides an object-oriented and replicated environment for building data-intensive applications. It ships with a MidCOM content management system built on the Midgard framework. MidCOM's features include Web-based authoring WYSIWYG interfaces and a component interface for installing additional Web functionality. Midgard is built on the GNOME stack of libraries like GLib and libgda, and has language bindings for C, Python, and PHP. Communications between applications written in the different languages happen over D-Bus. The CMS runs on the LAMP (Linux, Apache, MySQL and PHP) platform.
Release Notes: This release adds support for libgda-5.0, makes Libgda-5.0 threads configurable in MidgardConfig, and fixes a SqlQuerySelectData constraint bug.

Release Notes: This bugfix release corrects the German translation, provides a few minor enhancements to work better with Android-based devices, and corrects a rare bug in FLAC file handling.
CIL is a frontend for the C programming language which facilitates program analysis and transformation. CIL will parse and typecheck a program, and compile it into a simplified subset of C. For example, in CIL, all looping constructs are given a single form and expressions have no side effects. This reduces the number of cases which must be considered when manipulating a C program. CIL has been used for a variety of projects, including CCured, a tool which makes C programs memory safe. It supports ANSI C, as well as most of the extensions of the GNU C and Microsoft C compilers. A Perl script acts as a drop-in replacement for either gcc or Microsoft's cl, and allows merging of the source files in your project. Other features include support for control-flow and points-to analyses.
Release Notes: The major change in this release is the introduction of a Question variant in the Cil.exp type, to represent expressions such as 1 == 2 ? 3: 4. It is enabled by the flag --useLogicalOperators. By default, legacy code should therefore compile and run without trouble against CIL 1.5.0, except for a few "non-exhaustive pattern matching" warnings on Cil.exp variables. This release also adds support for new GCC attributes and builtins, and fixes a number of issues, thanks to many bug reports and patches.
