DocumentBurster is a tool for report distribution: split, merge, email, and FTP your reports. It has report delivery for Crystal Reports, SSRS Reporting Services, MS Access, Cognos, PeopleSoft, and SAP. It has report bursting for Pentaho, JasperReports, and BIRT. It can upload reports to MS SharePoint.
Release Notes: This release contains a small fix.
LIXA (LIbre XA) is a Transaction Manager implementing the distributed transaction processing "XA specification" and "TX (transaction demarcation) specification" according to the X/Open CAE Specification. LIXA is a Transaction Manager but it's not a Transaction Monitor; this is the distinguishing feature of the project. LIXA technology enables every application container, like a Web server or a shell, to become an XA compliant application server. The client/server architecture of LIXA allows many application containers to share a single LIXA (state) server; this is ideal when horizontal scalability is a must and many identical application containers must refer to a single transactional environment. Performance, scalability, and high availability are key features of the project. LIXA can be used with the C, C++, and PHP programming languages.
Release Notes: This release adds PostgreSQL to the list of Resource Managers which can be used with the PHP language. It is now possible to develop PHP programs with distributed transaction processing (and two-phase commit) between MySQL and PostgreSQL using LIXA Transaction Manager.
Frescobaldi is a LilyPond sheet music editor with built-in MIDI player and PDF preview. It aims to be powerful, yet lightweight and easy to use.
Release Notes: This release fixes a critical bug which prohibited Frescobaldi from starting properly when the option "open files in running instance" was enabled on Windows systems and the user's username had non-ASCII characters in it. Cut-and-assign has been fixed. A new Ukrainian translation has been added.
TCExam is Web-based assessment software for generating and managing online tests and exams. It simplifies the exam cycle, including generation, execution, evaluation, presentation, and archiving.
Release Notes: This version includes the new TCPDF library and an updated version of the Romanian translation.
Release Notes: This version fixes barcode PNG exportation.
myBill is a money flow management utility. It can also be used to manage personal income/expenses.
Release Notes: This release improves the amortization code. The user can now choose between monthly, tri-monthly, six-monthly, and yearly periods
Cairo is a vector graphics library with cross-device output support. It currently supports the X Window System and in-memory image buffers as output targets. It is designed to produce identical output on all output media while taking advantage of display hardware acceleration when available (eg. through the X Render Extension). It provides a stateful user-level API with capabilities similar to the PDF 1.4 imaging model and provides operations including stroking and filling Bezier cubic splines, transforming and compositing translucent images, and antialiased text rendering.
Release Notes: Various minor bugs have been fixed.
Parrot and Chirp are user-level tools that make it easy to rapidly deploy wide area filesystems. Parrot is the client component: it transparently attaches to unmodified applications, and redirects their system calls to various remote servers. A variety of controls can be applied to modify the namespace and resources available to the application. Chirp is the server component: it allows an ordinary user to easily export and share storage across the wide area with a single command. A rich access control system allows users to mix and match multiple authentication types. Parrot and Chirp are most useful in the context of large scale distributed systems such as clusters, clouds, and grids where one may have limited permissions to install software.
Release Notes: This release fixes an issue with getdents on large directories in Parrot, fixes an issue in Parrot with opening the current or parent directory without the O_DIRECTORY flag, and adds support for writing memory mapped files in Parrot.
Concurrency Kit provides a plethora of concurrency primitives and lock-less and lock-free data structures designed to aid in the design and implementation of high performance scalable concurrent systems. It was designed to minimize dependencies on operating system-specific interfaces, and most of the interface relies only on a strict subset of the standard library and more popular compiler extensions.
Release Notes: This release includes a bugfix to ck_bag which corrects allocation behavior on ck_bag_put_spmc for initial bag creation and an iterator for ck_bitmap.
Makeflow is a workflow engine for executing large complex applications on clusters, clouds, and grids. It can be used to drive several different distributed computing systems, including Condor, SGE, and the included Work Queue system. It does not require a distributed filesystem, so you can use it to harness whatever collection of machines you have available. It is typically used for scaling up data-intensive scientific applications to hundreds or thousands of cores.
Release Notes: Various bug fixes were made to WQ.
360-FAAR (Firewall Analysis Audit and Repair) is an offline, command line, Perl firewall policy manipulation tool to filter, compare to logs, merge, translate, and output firewall commands for new policies, in Checkpoint dbedit, Cisco ASA, or ScreenOS commands. It is all contained in one file. It can read policy and logs for: Checkpoint FW1 (in odumper.csv / logexport format), Netscreen ScreenOS (in get config / syslog format), and Cisco ASA (show run / syslog format). It uses both inclusive and exclusive CIDR and text filters, permitting you to split large policies into smaller ones for virutalization at the same time as removing unused connectivity. It supports policy to log association, object translation, rulebase reordering and simplification, rule moves, and duplicate matching automatically. It allows you to seamlessly move rules to where you need them. 'print' mode creates a spreadsheet for your audit needs with one command.
Release Notes: This release simply removes one or two Checkpoint FW-1 defaults. These defaults caused some rulebase builds in Checkpoint FW-1 r75.10 to fail (namely, rulebases using TCP port 8080, which is fairly common). This version has been tested and used successfully with FW-1 r75.10.
Samba is a software suite that provides seamless file and print services to SMB/CIFS clients. It is freely available, unlike other SMB/CIFS implementations, and allows for interoperability between Linux/Unix servers and Windows-based clients.
Release Notes: This security release addresses CVE-2012-2111 (incorrect permission checks when granting/removing privileges could compromise file server security).
MXE (M cross environment) is a Makefile that compiles a cross compiler and cross compiles many free libraries such as SDL and Qt. Thus, it provides a nice cross compiling environment for various target platforms.
Release Notes: The project has been renamed from mingw-cross-env (MinGW cross compiling environment) to MXE (M cross environment). The release tarballs have been replaced with a Git checkout. Most packages have been updated to their latest versions. New packages are supported: agg, cgal, eigen, file, gta, json-c, libgnurx, libharu, libircclient, libssh2, libxml++, llvm, lzo, mpfr, nettle, opencsg, qjson, qwtplot3d, vtk, and wt.
