Download Website 06 Apr 22:28 Lua 5.2.1 work1

Screenshot

Lua is a programming language originally designed for extending applications, but also frequently used as a general-purpose, stand-alone language. It combines simple procedural syntax (similar to Pascal) with powerful data description constructs based on associative arrays and extensible semantics. It is dynamically typed, interpreted from bytecodes, and has automatic memory management, making it ideal for configuration, scripting, and rapid prototyping. It is implemented as a small library of C functions, written in ANSI C, and compiles unmodified in all known platforms. The implementation goals are simplicity, efficiency, portability, and low embedding cost. It has been used on games such as World of Warcraft, FarCry and Angry Birds, among others.

Release Notes: This release adds better handling of string collisions based on a random seed. This work version is meant to let the community assess the usefulness and the effectiveness of this experimental feature.

Download Website 06 Apr 22:27 libcaca 0.99.beta18

Screenshot

The libcaca library is a graphics library that outputs text instead of pixels, so that it can work on older video cards or text terminals. It is not unlike the famous AAlib library except it supports colour output.

Release Notes: This stability release includes two years worth of bugfixes. Python bindings have been fully redesigned.

No download Website 06 Apr 22:26 DBIx::Perlish 0.59

Screenshot

The DBIx::Perlish module provides the ability to work with databases supported by the DBI module using Perl's own syntax for the four most common operations: SELECT, UPDATE, DELETE, and INSERT. By using DBIx::Perlish, you can write most of your database queries using a domain-specific language with Perl syntax. However, the module is not intended to replace all use of SQL in your program. The DBIx::Perlish module quite intentionally neither implements nor cares about database administration tasks like schema design and management.

Release Notes: This release adds fixes for Perl 5.15.

Download Website 06 Apr 22:25 tntdb 1.2

Screenshot

Tntdb is a c++-class-library for database access. It implements a database-independent layer, which loads the actual driver dynamically when a connection is made. The classes use automatic resource management with reference counts. Resources are freed when the classes go out of scope. Error handling is done with exceptions (derived from std::exception). There are STL-like iterators for result sets and rows, and also the cursor is an STL-like iterator. It is written in standard C++ with Linux. Drivers for PostgreSQL, sqlite3, MySQL, and Oracle are available.

Release Notes: This release is the result of two years of improvements. A new replication driver allows applications to do replication without database support, even between different database systems. The decimal class has been rewritten and given unittests. The new RowReader-class makes code more readable when many columns are read from a result row. A new class BlobStream implements a std::istream interface to blobs.

Download Website 06 Apr 22:23 cxxtools 2.1

Screenshot

cxxtools is a library of unrelated but useful C++ classes. It contains an argument parser, a base-64 encoder/decoder, a C++ interface to iconv, md5-stream for easy MD5 calculation, threading classes, socket classes, a dynamic exception-safe buffer, a wrapper for dlopen/dlsym, a pool template (e.g. for a connection pool in a multi-threaded application), query_params, and a class for easy parsing of CGI parameters (GET and POST) in a CGI program.

Release Notes: This release adds json and jsonrpc to cxxtools, as well as a fast binary rpc server and client. Both are based on the improved serialization framework of cxxtools. The json and binary formats can be used as a storage format. Serialization and deserialization of csv is now possible. The unicode string as a specialization of std::basic_string has been give a major rewrite with short string optimization.

Release Notes: An generational garbage collector has been implemented. There are two small improvements in the pattern language and caching optimizations in hash tables.

Download Website 06 Apr 17:28 Tntnet 2.1

Screenshot

Tntnet is a Web application server for generating Web applications in C++. HTML pages with some additional tags for inclusion of C++ code are compiled into shared libraries and served from tntnet. It resembles PHP, JSP, or Mason, but the programming language used is C++, and the pages are compiled into native code before serving. Tntnet is fully multithreaded and supports HTTP keep-alive for best performance. Its dynamic pages are faster than static pages with other Web servers, while creating Web applications is simple.

Release Notes: This is the result of another two years of small improvements and optimizations. Tntnet is a little faster and more standard-compliant.
