musl is a new implementation of the standard library for Linux-based systems. It is lightweight, fast, simple, free, and strives to be correct in the sense of standards-conformance and safety. It includes a wrapper for building programs against musl in place of the system standard library (e.g. glibc), making it possible to immediately evaluate the library and build compact statically linked binaries with it.

GNU Midnight Commander is a text-mode full-screen file manager. It uses a two panel interface and a subshell for command execution. LinOTP is a solution for strong two-factor authentication with one time passwords. It features a modular architecture into which UserIdResolver, authentication, and OTP calculation modules can be plugged. It includes UserIdResolver modules for LDAP/AD, SQL, and flat file user databases, and authentication modules for PAM and RADIUS. New modules can be developed easily. OpenXava is a framework to develop AJAX JavaEE/J2EE applications rapidly and easily. It allows you to define applications only with POJOs, JPA, and Java 5 annotations. It is feature rich and flexible. It generates JSR-168 portlet applications (Liferay, WebSphere Portal, Jetspeed, etc.).
Release Notes: There is a new method executeClicking() in ModuleTestBase. Locales for portlet resource files did not match those of portlet.xml (javax.portlet.title error in liferay). Reports in Excel format produced a file called report.pdf instead of report.xls. Tab default values are applied to collections. If defined, a list formatter is used as a formatter in detail mode too. No longer tries to load .svn files as JS. Calculated properties are not injected in the entity validators. A CSRF attack error in Liferay dialogs is fixed. There are many more fixes.
Paludis is a package manager for Gentoo (and derived distributions) and Exherbo. It consists of a core library and a number of console-based clients. Package formats supported include Gentoo ebuilds and kdebuilds (as defined by the Package Manager Specification), the Exherbo exheres-0 format, and various miscellaneous utility pseudo-formats for managing accounts, unwritten and unavailable packages, and packages for which no package exists.

fastcgi++ is a C++ library for developing Web applications in C++ with the FastCGI protocol. This library does not support the old CGI protocol. It effectively manages simultaneous requests without the need for multiple threads. Session data is organized into meaningful data types as opposed to a series of text strings. Internationalization and Unicode support is another priority. The library is templated to allow internal wide character use, while converting down to UTF-8 upon transmission to the client.

Wikitty is a key/value storage and search system. A Java object or a relational table is frozen when writing code or creating a database. To make them evolve, you have to go back into the code, write a migration process, etc. It is also hard to maintain coherent code when you want to develop the same application for similar needs with only small differences. Between the common code and the specific code, it can easily become a real burden. Wikitty tries to answer those problems, bringing a technical solution which is easy to put into place and to use.

LimeSurvey (formerly PHPSurveyor) is a Web application that interacts with MySQL, MSSQL, or Postgres to develop surveys, publish surveys, and collect responses to surveys. Once a survey has been created, data can be inserted into the survey either by a "pretty" public screen which presents each question one at a time, or by a quick and nasty data entry screen. It includes the capacity to generate individualized "tokens", so that invitations can be issued to participants. It also has the capacity to set conditions on whether questions will display (branching), numerous question types, and a basic statistics function.

Herold converts HTML files to DocBook files. It tries to detect the structure of the HTML code by analyzing the header elements. Herold is able to suppress table elements and to serialize the contents. Furthermore, you can exclude certain elements via XPath expressions.
