The sysstat package contains the sar, sadf, iostat, nfsiostat, cifsiostat, mpstat, and pidstat commands for Linux. The sar command collects and reports system activity information. The statistics reported by sar concern I/O transfer rates, paging activity, process-related activites, interrupts, network activity, memory and swap space utilization, CPU utilization, kernel activities, and TTY statistics, among others. The sadf command may be used to display data collected by sar in various formats. The iostat command reports CPU statistics and I/O statistics for tty devices and disks. The pidstat command reports statistics for Linux processes. The mpstat command reports global and per-processor statistics. The nfsiostat command reports I/O statistics for network filesystems. The cifsiostat command reports I/O statistics for CIFS filesystems.

Release Notes: Virtual devices are no longer taken into account in sar -b results. iostat can now display target device information when a symbolic link is specified as a parameter. The option --disable-stripping has been added to the configure script. A Serbian translation has been added.

TRIP is a general computer algebra system dedicated to celestial mechanics. It includes a numerical kernel and has interfaces to gnuplot and xmgrace. Computations can be performed with double, quadruple, or multi-precision. Users can dynamically load external libraries written in C, C++, or Fortran. Parallel computations on multivariate polynomials can be performed.

Release Notes: Several features have been introduced, such as error, try/catch, typeof, _integnum, and integnumfcn. The statement read now supports text files with columns of strings. Completion for keywords and subroutines is available on the command line. The statement pause is able to return to the prompt line if the user enters the character q or e. Several bugs have been fixed.

gThumb is an image viewer written for the GNOME environment. It lets you browse your hard disk, showing you thumbnails of image files. It also lets you view single files (including GIF animations), organize images in catalogs, print images, view slideshows, set your desktop background, and more. gThumb also supports Nautilus thumbnails.

Release Notes: gThumb was ported to GTK+ 3 and GSettings. The libunique dependency was removed as well as the use of many deprecated functions. "Selections", similar to temporary catalogs, were introduced as a more powerful way to select files. Commenting and tagging was improved. Many other minor improvements and enhancements were made.

Release Notes: Support for touch devices was added. Support for smooth scrolling was added. GtkScrolledWindow can now do kinetic scrolling with touch devices. GtkColorSelectionDialog was deprecated in favor of a new color chooser widget GtkColorChooserDialog. GtkApplication session support was simplified. XInput2 is now required for building the X11 backend, and support for XInput1 was removed. API deprecations are now versioned, and new APIs are now marked with the version they were introduced with. Fixes were made for theming. Many other minor bugs were fixed. Translations were updated.

Aspose.Slides for Java is a Java component for manipulating PowerPoint presentations. Release Notes: This is primarily a maintenance and more stable release. This hotfix ensures that presentations generated with Aspose.Slides for Java can be opened in PowerPoint 2007 SP3. Many of slide rendering issues that our customer have reported have been fixed, and this release adds support for rendering of SmartArt. A number of other issues have been fixed. The authors have looked at slide cloning, and this release supports embedded videos in cloned presentations.

389 Directory Server (formerly Fedora Directory Server) is a full-featured LDAPv3 compliant server. In addition to the standard LDAPv3 operations, it supports multi-master replication, fully online configuration and administration, chaining, virtual attributes, access control directives in the data, Virtual List View, server-side sorting, SASL, TLS/SSL, and many other features. The transactional Berkeley DB 4.2 is used as its data store and a full plug-in API allows developers to extend the the functionality of the server in many ways, and many of the core features of the server are already implemented using this API. The server is very mature, having started out as Netscape Directory Server.

Release Notes: This release fixes a crash when using a password policy, and fixes some other valgrind issues.

OrgApp is a Java library to handle and draw organizational charts (organigrams). The library also has an applet and a Swing Java client able to view an organizational chart read from a file, in different formats (one of them based upon XML). The applet supports charts with different layouts and boxes with hyperlinks, customizable colors, sizes, positions, etc., and it is easy to embed it in an HTML page.

Release Notes: Graphical improvements (a Bezier line for connectors, BoxMode, text vertically centered, etc.). A new XML reader/writer architecture. Minor changes in the SOF schema. Organigram can be written to an image.

gif2png is a simple command-line utility to convert images from GIF to PNG format. It automatically preserves transparency, interlacing and text comments, and it can do multiple images in one command (e.g., gif2png *.gif). The distribution also includes a web2png script that can be used to convert an entire web tree; it calls gif2png to do image conversions, then patches IMG SRC tags correctly in referring pages.

Release Notes: This release fixes CVE-2009-5018, a filename buffer overflow bug detected by Gentoo security.

Release Notes: This is a bugfix and polish release over the 2.4 series, with a large number of bugs fixed (~170 for the 2.5 series alone). tsdecrypt reads an incoming MPEG transport stream over UDP/RTP and then decrypts it using keys obtained from OSCAM or a similar CAM server. Currently supported crypto systems are Conax, Cryptoworks, Irdeto, Viaccess, Mediaguard (Seca), Videoguard (NDS), Nagra, DRE-Crypt, and Bulcrypt. BISS and constant code words are also supported. tsdecrypt communicates with a CAM server using the cs378x (camd35 over TCP) protocol or the newcamd protocol.

Release Notes: Input buffering was added. This feature helps decrypting services that have very strict timing requirements (like SkyUK). Major bugfixes to the newcamd protocol were made. Added are optimizations and fixes related to MPTS support.

On Windows, handling of the profile directory with non-ASCII characters was fixed and on Mac OS X, image browsing in the image dialog was fixed. Two GTK3-related bugs were fixed. Some small improvements were made such as slightly faster startup and no more annoying scrolling of the file browser. New features: duplicate line, delete line, and a Catalan translation.

MyJgui is a GUI (graphical user interface) for MySQL. It aims to be easy to use for new users as well as experts. You can store multiple connections that can be used simultaneously. Stored passwords are encrypted using symmetric encryption. Underlying databases and tables are displayed in a tree structure with the connections being the first level nodes. MyJgui is capable of easy data manipulation through a grid. It has a unique feature of bookmarking parametrical queries (sqlmarks). The documentation (user guide) is quite comprehensive and kept up-to-date.

Release Notes: You can now set the font size of log views. When working with table data, sort is not removed after refresh. In the create table wizard, choosing a column type is easier. When searching, a button was added for inserting SQL into the SQL console, along with an ignore limit check box. A small change was made in creating SQL marks. Help was removed from the application and will now be provided only on the Web page.

git-info-bar is a ksh, bash, gitbash, and Git shell plugin that endeavors to provide a fast and pronounced view of various git attributes when you are under the umbrella of a git repository. Its main feature, the 'info bar' (information bar), displays the following information: current branch (in 'red' if on master); current cksum (in 'red' if there are uncommitted changes, and an 'uncommitted changes' message in the message area); and stash count in the message area if you have stashes. It includes an install script and removal scripts. It is currently only tested in Bash, GitBash and ksh93. It was previously named 'bash-git', but the name has been transitioned to 'git-info-bar', as a long-term goal is cross-shell compatibility using a Perl back-end.
