Mpg123 is a fast, free and portable MPEG audio player and decoder library mainly for Unix (but also ported to other platforms). It supports MPEG 1.0/2.0/2.5 layers 1, 2, and 3, with CD quality playback even on relatively slow CPUs.
Release Notes: This release makes inclusion of recent bugfixes a no-brainer for conservative distributions. It contains fixes for reading ReplayGain values from Lame tags (both actual values and the distinction between audiophile/radio) and accepts application/octet-stream as input from HTTP. The man page has been updated with the encoding selection, and there are some build fixes.
VisIt is an interactive parallel visualization and graphical analysis tool for viewing scientific data. Users can quickly generate visualizations from their data, animate them through time, manipulate them, and save the resulting images for presentations. VisIt contains a rich set of visualization features so that you can view your data in a variety of ways. It can be used to visualize scalar and vector fields defined on two- and three-dimensional (2D and 3D) structured and unstructured meshes. It was designed to interactively handle very large data set sizes in the terascale range, and works well down to small data sets in the kilobyte range.
Release Notes: This is primarily a bugfix release which resolves issues in several areas. VisIt can now build without Mesa, enabling broader support for Ubuntu. VisIt's rendering performance has been improved, making version 2.4.2 at least as fast as versions prior to VisIt 2.4.0. Text annotations have been fixed so they are no longer truncated. A number of improvements have been made to the handling of variables restricted to specific materials. Material selection now works correctly with AMR data sets when changing time steps. Errors have been corrected in the GMV, Nek5000, and Wavefront OBJ plugins.
Logtalk is an object-oriented logic programming language that can use most Prolog implementations as a back-end compiler. As a multi-paradigm language, it includes support for both prototypes and classes, protocols (interfaces), component-based programming through category-based composition, event-driven programming, and high-level multi-threading programming.
Release Notes: This release changes the semantics of complementing categories, allowing its use to patch existing object code, fixes two bugs in the processing of meta-calls, allows open lists of terminals in the body of DCG rules, adds two new examples, and improves support for the Vim text editor and for Exuberant ctags.
MSS (Music Statistics Server) stores and makes available music play statistics. It records song descriptions together with their play dates.
Release Notes: A bug in the song play recording routine has been fixed.
Miscellaneous Container Templates is a C++ library that provides a collection of various STL-like containers with specific properties. It currently contains six closely related containers: closed_hash_set, closed_hash_map, linked_hash_*, and forward_hash_*. The first two are very similar to TR1 unordered_set and unordered_map; the linked ones provide additional functionality, while forward hash tables are more performant than linked, but have a restricted interface.
Release Notes: MCT now supports the Boost Serialization library (but doesn't depend on its presence). New public type properties like mct::is_set can help with template metaprogramming.
SMTP4PHP is a collection of PHP classes dedicated for composing and sending multipart/mixed email messages quickly and easily, with or without embedded images and/or attachments.
Release Notes: This release adds a small redesign for fixing a "call-time pass-by-reference" deprecated error.
GLib is a library containing many useful C routines for things such as trees, hashes, and lists. GLib was previously distributed with the GTK toolkit, but has been split off as of the developers' version 1.1.0.
Release Notes: Reloading of properties by GDBusProxy has gained new possibilities. GApplication has been improved. Deprecations are now versioned, and new APIs are marked with the version with which they were introduced. The performance of signal emissions has been improved. PCRE has been updated to 8.30. Unicode has been updated to 6.1. API documentation fixes have been made. Many minor bugs have been fixed.
NovaFTP is a fast, modern, and feature-rich FTP client. Designed for rapidity and ease of use, it combines high performance, innovative features, and good design. It can download multiple files at full speed, explore remote servers through an enhanced filesystem navigation interface, connect to multiple servers at the same time, and switch between multiple FTP sessions while managing bookmarks. It offers all modern FTP features, including IPV6 support, UTF8 and large file support, secure connections through SSL/TLS, enhanced firewall support, etc.
Release Notes: This release improves Sites Manager.
GSport is an Apple IIgs emulator based on Kent Dickey's excellent KEGS emulator. It features updated support for the Uthernet Ethernet board, as well as virtual printer support. Code from several KEGS variants over the years was merged together to form this codebase. GSport's name comes from the merging of "GS" (as in the Apple IIgs) and portability - in the programming sense - since it can be built and run on many different computer platforms.
Release Notes: This release adds text-based virtual printer output for all platforms, OS X installtion via drag-and-drop, and automatic mount-and-boot of disk images. For Win32, it adds sound and native printer libraries which were mistakenly omitted.
RCDevs OpenID Provider is an OpenID 1.1 and 2.0 provider with simple registration and multiple OpenID URL formats. Compared to other OpenID provider implementations, RCDevs OpenID Provider is extremely easy to implement: provided that you have a working WebADM server, installation just consists of adding the OpenID WebApp in WebADM and adding a markup in the index page of your public Web site. The RCDevs OpenID Provider works with LDAP and OpenOTP authentication back-ends. With OpenOTP, your OpenID users can authenticate with any OpenOTP one-time password mechanism (Soft Tokens, SMSOTP, MailOTP, Yubikey, MobileOTP). RCDevs OpenID Provider supports both query-string-based OpenID URLs and hostname-based OpenID URLs. An example of the format using a query string is "http://rcdevs.com/?user=myuser&domain=mydomain" and an example of the format using a hostname is "http://myuser.mydomain.rcdevs.com/".
Release Notes: This release is fully compliant with WebADM 1.2 and the new WebADM Manager Interface. All the features of RCDevs TiQR Server 1.0.2 are now supported (including TiQR Offline Mode). Logging has been enhanced.
