Download Website 25 Mar 10:53 MirBSD Korn Shell R40e

Screenshot

The MirBSD Korn Shell (mksh) is an actively developed successor of pdksh (the Public Domain Korn Shell), aimed at producing a shell good for interactive use, but with the primary focus on scripting. It is intended to be portable to most *nix-like operating systems as long as they're not too obscure. mksh incorporates improvements from OpenBSD and Debian, as well as bugfixes and enhancements developed for the MirOS, FreeWRT, and MidnightBSD projects and Android. The emacs command line editing mode is UTF-8 capable, and Byte Order Marks are ignored in scripts. The shell supports large files, as well as all pdksh and some csh, AT&T ksh, zsh, and GNU bash features, is compatible with the Bourne shell and POSIX (within limits), has no limit on array sizes, and incorporates some other useful builtins and features. While being already fast and small (without losing functionality), flags to make it even smaller can be given at compile time. An interactive shell reads "~/.mkshrc" on startup.

Release Notes: This must-have update collects bugfixes from three months, including better standards compliance (the IFS test suite now passes), several tab completion-related bugs (UTF-8, backslash-escaped filenames), fixes for the worst problems with persistent history code (use of it is still discouraged), a bugfix for using time in $(…), and better UTF-8 and $COLUMNS/$LINES handling. The sleep builtin is no longer interrupted by SIGWINCH. Support for SkyOS, both Minix 3, QNX, Android, BSD/OS, Cygwin, Interix, and non-GCC has improved. Deprecated features now issue a warning. Most importantly, I/O redirecting an "if" block works again (BZ#496791).

Download Website 25 Mar 10:50 Mundus 1.1.3

Screenshot

Mundus is a tool that can keep your /home folder clean by looking for uninstalled software that left configuration files. It can automatically or manually back up those files in case you need them later.

Release Notes: This release fixes a lot of bugs present in the last version. It also disables and removes the /etc cleaning feature, as it required a lot of maintenance and, more importantly, it could cause a lot of problems. As a replacement, the callbacks feature must be used. It may indirectly call the cleaner, but custom code for each module allows more control and checks.

Download Website 25 Mar 10:49 Liferea 1.9.2

Liferea (Linux Feed Reader) is a fast, easy-to-use, and easy-to-install GTK/GNOME desktop news aggregator for online news feeds and Web logs. It supports the important syndication formats (Atom, RSS, and OPML). Liferea supports offline reading.

Release Notes: This release introduce sqlite 3.7+ WAL journaling for the unstable release line. This improves performance on ext4 significantly.

Download Website 25 Mar 10:49 BaseX 7.2

An interactive and user-friendly GUI frontend gives you great insight into large XML data instances. It is platform independent and works out of the box.

Release Notes: This release supports the new RESTXQ API for building XQuery Web services, improves support for running BaseX as a Web application, adds higher order functions to XQuery to speed up Top-K queries, adds proxy server settings, adds advanced TagSoup options for importing HTML files, provides faster traversal of full-text index entries via ft:tokens() for XQuery, adds embedded readline and history support via JLine for the commandline, adds annotation and updates the EQName syntax (Q{uri}name) for XQuery 3.0, pins opened databases OS-wide to reduce write conflicts, and adds HTML5 serialization of query results.

Download Website 25 Mar 10:44 mandoc 1.12.1

Screenshot

mdocml is a suite of tools for compiling "-mdoc", the roff macro package of choice for BSD manual pages, and "-man", the predominant historical package for UNIX manuals. The mission of mdocml is to deprecate groff, the GNU roff implementation, for displaying -mdoc pages whilst providing token support for -man.

Release Notes: This release adds significant work on apropos and mandocdb. These tools are now much more robust. A whatis implementation is now handled as an apropos mode. These tools are also able to minimally handle pre-formatted pages (that is, those already formatted by another utility such as GNU troff). The man.cgi script is also now available for wider testing. It interfaces with mandocdb manuals cached by catman. HTML output is generated on-the-fly by libmandoc or internal methods to convert pre-formatted pages.
