Screenshot

VMD (Visual Molecular Dynamics) is designed for the visualization and analysis of biological systems such as proteins, nucleic acids, lipid bilayer assemblies, etc. It may be used to view more general molecules, as VMD can read standard Protein Data Bank (PDB) files and display the contained structure. VMD provides a wide variety of methods for rendering and coloring a molecule: simple points and lines, CPK spheres and cylinders, licorice bonds, backbone tubes and ribbons, cartoon drawings, and others. VMD can be used to animate and analyze the trajectory of a molecular dynamics (MD) simulation. In particular, VMD can act as a graphical front end for an external MD program by displaying and animating a molecule undergoing simulation on a remote computer. VMD uses OpenGL and OpenGL Programmable Shading Language for high performance rendering of large structures.

Release Notes: A new "QuickSurf" molecular surface representation allows molecular dynamics trajectories to be animated for selections of 10,000 to well over 100,000 atoms depending on the speed of the host machine. The new Force Field Toolkit (FFTK) plugin is a set of tools that aids users in the development of CHARMM-compatible force field parameters. A new graphical interface to allow results from ProPKA runs to be interactively displayed in VMD. A new Android phone/tablet remote control is included in this release. No download Website 14 Feb 22:35 Dist-Zilla 4.300007

Screenshot

Dist::Zilla builds distributions of code to be uploaded to the CPAN. In this respect, it is like ExtUtils::MakeMaker, Module::Build, or Module::Install. Unlike those tools, however, it is not also a system for installing code that has been downloaded from the CPAN. Since it's only run by authors, and is meant to be run on a repository checkout rather than on published, released code, it can do much more than those tools, and is free to make much more ludicrous demands in terms of prerequisites.

No download No website 14 Feb 22:35 JunkieTheSniffer 1.5.0

Screenshot

Junkie is a real-time packet sniffer and analyzer. It is modular enough to accomplish many different tasks. It can be a helpful companion to the modern network administrator and analyst. Compared to previously available tools, junkie lies in between tcpdump and wireshark. Unlike tcpdump, its purpose is to parse protocols of any depth; unlike wireshark, though, it is designed to analyze traffic in real-time and so cannot parse traffic as exhaustively as wireshark does. In addition, its design encompasses extendability and speed. It has a plug-in system and high-level extension language that eases the development and combination of new functionalities; threaded packet capture and analysis for handling of high bandwidth networks; and a modular architecture to ease the addition of any protocol layer. It is based on libpcap for portability, and well-tested on professional settings.

Release Notes: Compiled packet filters (much faster than tshark filters, but with a somewhat more complex syntax). This release can forward traffic information to another junkie for easier parallelism.

Download Website 14 Feb 22:33 mod_pLua 0.42

Screenshot

mod_pLua is an Apache HTTP Server 2.x module for developing Web applications with Lua. With mod_pLua, you can use Lua for scripting in two distinct ways; Embedded Lua scripting, <?lua print("Hello, world!") ?>, or plain Lua scripting with a CGI-style interface. mod_pLua precompiles all scripts and caches the compiled binary code so that each new call to the same file will be lightning fast, allowing you to serve hundreds of thousands of requests per minute on any modern server. Mod_pLua supports both the traditional Lua interpreter as well as LuaJIT for both Windows and UNIX platforms. If your Web server supports it, mod_pLua also utilizes APR_DBD and mod_dbd to handle persistent database connections through the dbopen() Lua function.

Avatar

Release Notes: Some thread checks, which were not needed in Lua C function calls, have been removed. Pushing the Lua thread onto the registry when acquiring the state has been reinstated to avoid having to resort to the backup list. The Lua function httpError(N) has been added for calling the internal Apache error handler with return code N. setReturnCode now only sets the return code; it does not call the Apache error handler (use httpError instead).
