No download Website 23 Jan 02:02 uimaFIT 1.3.0

Screenshot

uimaFIT provides Java annotations for describing UIMA components which can be used to directly describe the UIMA components in Java code without the need for traditional UIMA XML descriptors. This greatly simplifies refactoring a component definition (e.g., changing a configuration parameter name). uimaFIT also makes it easy to instantiate UIMA components without using XML descriptor files by providing convenient factory methods. This makes uimaFIT an ideal library for testing UIMA components because the component can be easily instantiated and invoked without requiring a descriptor file to be created first. uimaFIT is very useful in research environments in which programmatic/dynamic instantiation of UIMA pipelines can simplify experimentation. For example, when performing 10-fold cross-validation across a number of experimental conditions, it can be quite laborious to create a different set of descriptor files for each run, or even a script which generates such descriptor files. uimaFIT is type system agnostic and does not depend on (or provide) a specific type system. This project has been superseded by the Apache uimaFIT project.

Release Notes: This release adds external resources like configuration parameters, a convenient logging API, and a new selectBetween() method.

Download Website 23 Jan 02:01 PieDock 1.4.3

Download Website 23 Jan 02:01 MV3D 0.70

Screenshot

MV3D is a virtual world and multi-player game framework for use with Python. It was designed with scalability in mind and is able to distribute a world across as many servers as needed while dynamically balancing the load. The simulation framework is not specifically slanted towards any one genre of online game or virtual world, and can just as easily be used for a space game as a fantasy setting. Objects on an MV3D server can be simulated using the ODE physics engine for realistic interactions. A single server is able to host thousands of of simulated objects. The client works with both the Ogre3D and Panda3D renderers.

Release Notes: The main focus of this release is usability, and it includes a large amount of work on tools. Panda3D support is now up to par with animation, terrain texture splatting, and skydomes. One of the things the authors are most excited about is the Windows development environment installer. This is an easy installer which will quickly set up any Windows system to develop MV3D.

No download Website 23 Jan 02:00 EmfEngine 1.0.3

Screenshot

The Enhanced MetaFile format (EMF) is the native vector graphics file format on Windows. Qt is a cross-platform application development framework, widely used for the development of GUI programs. Although it provides tools for almost every aspect of software development, Qt doesn't include a straightforward solution for the export of 2D graphics to the EMF format. EmfEngine covers this lack and enables Qt-based applications to easily export graphics to the Enhanced Metafile format.

Release Notes: This release adds the ability to build EmfEngine without STL support enabled in Qt.

Release Notes: This version can finally create an address index which works on a GPS device without using any third party software. Also new is a compiler for custom type files and an option to create points of interest along a line. Improvements include creating only a single point of interest from a polygon and even better performance.

Download Website 23 Jan 01:24 GNU Parallel 20120122 ('Dead SOPA')

Screenshot

GNU parallel is a shell tool for executing jobs in parallel locally or using remote computers. A job is typically a single command or a small script that has to be run for each of the lines in the input. The typical input is a list of files, a list of hosts, a list of users, a list of URLs, or a list of tables. If you use xargs today you will find GNU parallel very easy to use, as GNU parallel is written to have the same options as xargs. If you write loops in shell, you will find GNU parallel may be able to replace most of the loops and make them run faster by running several jobs in parallel. GNU parallel makes sure output from the commands is the same output as you would get had you run the commands sequentially. This makes it possible to use output from GNU parallel as input for other programs.

Release Notes: --header now uses the first input line as column names, and you can then use {colname} as a replacement string in the command. (This also works with multiple ":::"s.) --header <regexp> matches a header as a regular expression and repeats the header for each block with --pipe. --resume resumes from the last unfinished job. (This is useful if you stop GNU Parallel and restart it later with the same arguments.) niceload now propagates the exit status correctly. The options -g, -B, -T, -U, -W, and -Y have been retired, as warned six months ago.

No download Website 22 Jan 19:18 Jim diGriz's QoS Script 20120122

Screenshot

What makes this QoS script different than many other scripts is its general auto-configuration, use of iptables to ease local customization of classification, transparent IPv6 support, and the ability to handle varying connection speeds (such as those seen on contended xDSL connections). The script should work on any relatively modern kernel (since 2009), and is being used and tested by the author on his WAG54Gv2.

Release Notes: This is a complete rewrite from scratch and a new focus.

Release Notes: This is a mixed feature and bugfix release.
