Download Website 23 Jan 22:25 GNU libmicrohttpd 0.9.18

Screenshot

GNU libmicrohttpd is a small C library for embedding HTTP server functionality into other applications. It is reentrant, fast, supports HTTP 1.1, and permits listening on multiple ports. The API is simple and still powerful enough to allow programmers to use the entire HTTP feature set. SSL/TLS support is available as an option.

Avatar

Release Notes: This release fixes several minor bugs. In particular, digest authentication was failing under certain circumstances (nonce count >= 10 or GETs with URL arguments). Furthermore, an uninitialized variable in MHD_get_timeout could cause incorrect (low) timeout values to be returned. Sockets are now non-blocking for SSL connections on OS X to avoid hanging while waiting on network I/O. The documentation on how to use authentication APIs and how to run MHD with dual-stack support was improved.

No download No website 23 Jan 22:23 pgDynamicPartitions 1.3.20120119

Screenshot

pgDynamicPartitions is a script that allows you to maintain a rolling window of daily table partitions under PostgreSQL. When called daily via cron, it will create x empty partitions into the future and keep only n partitions from the past 30 days, for example, and drop any that are older. It can be used with multiple tables, and each can be treated differently by calling it with different parameters via cron.

Release Notes: This release is not a code change, but a change in the example table definitions. The way the example was doing the constraints before was causing query pruning not to work as expected. If your tables are partitioned with these new constraints, you can now do queries like "select * from foo where date(starttime) = ’2012-01-19′", and it will work as expected and only scan the partitions for the day 01-19. That assumes that ‘starttime’ is a timestamp column.

Download Website 23 Jan 22:15 Plzip 0.8

Screenshot

Plzip is a massively parallel (multi-threaded), lossless data compressor based on the lzlib compression library, with a user interface similar to the one of lzip, bzip2, or gzip. It can compress/decompress large files on multiprocessor machines much faster than lzip, at the cost of a slightly-reduced compression ratio. (Note that the number of usable threads is limited by file size). Plzip uses the lzip file format, and the files produced by plzip are fully compatible with lzip-1.4 or newer, and can be rescued with lziprecover.

Avatar

Release Notes: The option "-F, --recompress", which forces recompression of files whose name already has the ".lz" or ".tlz" suffix, has been added. The options "-d, --decompress" and "-t, --test" now also show compression ratio. The inability to change output file attributes has been downgraded from error to warning. A small change has been made in the "--help" output and man page. Quote characters in messages have been changed as advised by GNU Coding Standards. Stdin and stdout are now set in binary mode on OS2.

Download Website 23 Jan 18:52 Zutils 1.0-rc1

Screenshot

Zutils is a collection of utilities able to deal with any combination of compressed and uncompressed files transparently. If any given file, including standard input, is compressed, its decompressed content is used. Compressed files are decompressed on the fly; no temporary files are created. These utilities are not wrapper scripts but safer and more efficient C++ programs. In particular the "--recursive" option is very efficient in those utilities supporting it. The provided utilities are zcat, zcmp, zdiff, zgrep, ztest, and zupdate. The supported formats are bzip2, gzip, lzip, and xz. The compressor to be used for each format is configurable at runtime.

Avatar

Release Notes: Quote characters in messages have been changed as advised by GNU Coding Standards. Information has been added to the INSTALL file about how to install zutils along with GNU gzip.
