Seed7 is a general purpose programming language. It is a higher level language compared to Ada, C++, and Java. In Seed7, new statements and operators can be declared easily. Functions with type results and type parameters are more elegant than a template or generics concept. Object orientation is used when it brings advantages and not in places when other solutions are more obvious. Although Seed7 contains several concepts of other programming languages, it is generally not considered as a direct descendant of any other programming language.
Release Notes: The Seed7 compiler has been improved to support constant pixmaps and to omit array constant declarations for unused arrays. Result variables have been renamed in various libraries and example programs. The functions getPixel and imagePixmap have been added or improved. Pictures of a grating and a vampire have been added to pic16.s7i and pic32.s7i. The function getValue has been overloaded for PRIMITIVE_WINDOW values in the library progs.s7i. fwsnort translates snort rules into an equivalent iptables ruleset. By making use of the iptables string match module, fwsnort can detect application layer signatures which exist in many snort rules. fwsnort adds a --hex-string option to iptables, which allows snort rules that contain hex characters to be input directly into iptables rulesets without modification. In addition, fwsnort makes use of the IPTables::Parse Perl module in order to (optionally) restrict the snort rule translation to only those rules that specify traffic that could potentially be allowed through an existing iptables policy.
Release Notes: This release adds a new comprehensive test suite, a faster iptables/ip6tables capabilities testing routine, and fixes for hex string encoding for some Snort content matches with syntax-busting characters.
Zsh is a UNIX command interpreter (shell) which of the standard shells most resembles the Korn shell (ksh). GNUnet is a peer-to-peer framework with focus on providing security. All peer-to-peer messages in the network are confidential and authenticated. The framework provides a transport abstraction layer and can currently encapsulate the network traffic in UDP, TCP, HTTP, HTTPS, or direct 802.11 (WLAN). GNUnet supports accounting to provide contributing nodes with better service. The services built on top of the framework include anonymous file sharing and a virtual network providing IPv4-IPv6 transition via protocol translation over the P2P network.
Release Notes: This release adds support for non-anonymous data transfers over multiple hops (if both publisher and replicator are using an anonymity level of zero). It fixes various bugs and includes cosmetic improvements in the gnunet-setup and gnunet-fs-gtk user interfaces.

uma::bson is a DOM-style C++ API for reading/writing BSON data. Unlike the MongoDB C++ API, which exposes a read-only interface with a separate interface for creating a BSON representation, this API allows reading/writing on the existing data. The API is designed primarily for serialising/deserialising BSON data to/from streams (files, socket connections, etc.).
Release Notes: This release implements a simple callback-based ODM (Object-Document mapping) framework. Client applications can create model objects which store data as uma::bson::Value instances while extending from the new uma::bson::Object class. The unit test suite has been expanded to include the ODM test suite.
INIshell is a graphical INI file generator. A set of constraints regarding the sections, keys, and values that might be present in the INI file are defined in an XML file. INIshell reads this XML file and dynamically generates a GUI allowing the end user to edit the INI file. Its flexibility allows any application to describe its configuration options and easily offer a GUI to the end user.
Release Notes: It is now possible to use inishell to edit an already-existing ini file. Unknown keys are preserved as well as user comments. The layout has been improved, and offers a more consistent appearance. It is also now possible to group keys in a frame in order to visually bring related keys together. All known bugs have been fixed.
