Download Website 30 Oct 16:30 F*EX 20121027

Screenshot

F*EX (Frams' Fast File EXchange) is a Web based service for sending very big files from one person to another. The sender uploads the file to the F*EX server and the recipient automatically gets a notification email with a download URL. Files are automatically deleted after download or an expiration date. The recipient and sender only need an email program and a Web browser. Sending to multiple recipients needs storage on the server only once. In contrast with other file transfer services, it has no file size limits at all and comes with shell tools for scripting up/downloading.

Avatar

Release Notes: The licence has changed from the AGPL to Perl Artistic. When no SMTP is available, the server can be configured to "no mails at all" mode. A VirtualBox VM is available to run the server on Windows. An optional "anonymous upload" has been added for local users who are identified by their IP addresses. Anonymous usage is available via the Web interface and the new afex script, which offers very easy file transfer, especially for administrative accounts. Some minor bugs have been fixed.

Screenshot

The xterm program is the standard terminal emulator for the X Window System. It provides DEC VT102/VT220 and Tektronix 4014 compatible terminals for programs that can't use the window system directly. If the underlying operating system supports terminal resizing capabilities (for example, the SIGWINCH signal in systems derived from 4.3bsd), xterm will use the facilities to notify programs running in the window whenever it is resized.

Release Notes: This release fixes four bugs, chiefly a workaround for a bug in GDM exposed by the change in patch #282 that identifies the window manager. The other fixes add a check for misconfiguration of the printerCommand resource and improve transformation of the manpage to other formats.

There are more changes to improve the performance of the router and reduce its memory usage. This release enables i2psnark's DHT support, introduced in the previous release, by default.

No download Website 30 Oct 15:59 Red language 0.3.0

Screenshot

Red language is a native-code compiled functional, imperative, symbolic, and homoiconic programming language that re-uses most of REBOL's syntax and semantics. Both static and JIT compilation support are planned. A strong emphasis is made on concurrency and both task and data parallelism support using an actor-like abstraction and parallel collections (Scala-like). No download Website 30 Oct 15:53 Universal Password Manager 1.14

Screenshot

Universal Password Manager (UPM) allows you to store usernames, passwords, URLs, etc. in an encrypted database protected by one master password. Its three strongest features are simplicity (it provides a small number of very strong features with no clutter), the ability to run cross-platform, and database sharing. Rather than having many separate databases (home, work, etc.), database sharing allows you store your database at a remote location (password protected HTTP URL, for example) and then have UPM automatically keep your local database in sync with the remote database.

Release Notes: Adds support for syncing to Dropbox.

No download Website 30 Oct 15:49 entropybroker 2.0

    Screenshot

Entropy Broker is an infrastructure for distributing cryptographically secure random numbers (entropy data) from one or more servers to one or more clients. This prevents /dev/random from ever becoming empty. This is useful, for example, for virtual machines which naturally have no source of randomness.

    Avatar

Release Notes: Entropy broker is now fully multi-threaded so that no client can block the broker, and higher bitrates can now be achieved. The OpenSSL dependency has been replaced by the crypto++ library. A 'configure' script has been added. This release has been checked for software defects with Coverity. The network protocol has been adapted for bigger block sizes. Ciphers/hashes are now fully user selectable. There is reduced broker entropy usage.

    Screenshot

360-FAAR (Firewall Analysis Audit and Repair) is an offline, command line, Perl firewall policy manipulation tool to filter, compare to logs, merge, translate, and output firewall commands for new policies, in Checkpoint dbedit, Cisco ASA, or ScreenOS commands. It is all contained in one file. It can read policy and logs for: Checkpoint FW1 (in odumper.csv / logexport format), Netscreen ScreenOS (in get config / syslog format), and Cisco ASA (show run / syslog format). It uses both inclusive and exclusive CIDR and text filters, permitting you to split large policies into smaller ones for virutalization at the same time as removing unused connectivity. It supports policy to log association, object translation, rulebase reordering and simplification, rule moves, and duplicate matching automatically. It allows you to seamlessly move rules to where you need them. 'print' mode creates a spreadsheet for your audit needs with one command.

Release Notes: This release resolves Cisco ICMP default services without printing stringified hash references in the cs output sections. Cisco network and range objects are listed as such in object-groups instead of as hosts. The Cisco output writer uses 'object' in access-lists instead of IP NM, as well as listing range objects using 'range' in access lists as well as groups. The NAT translation now supports SRC NAT translation for known network objects in rr mode filters.
