Download Website 02 Oct 21:49 Relax-and-Recover 1.14

Screenshot

Relax-and-Recover (Rear) is a bare metal disaster recovery and system migration solution, similar to AIX mksysb or HP-UX ignite. It is composed of a modular framework and ready-to-go workflows for many common situations to produce a bootable image and restore from backup using this image. It can restore to different hardware, and can therefore be used as a migration tool as well. It supports various boot media (including tape, USB, or eSATA storage, ISO, PXE, etc.), a variety of network protocols (including SFTP, FTP, HTTP, NFS, and CIFS), as well as a multitude of backup strategies (including IBM TSM, HP DataProtector, Symantec NetBackup, Bacula, and rsync). It was designed to be easy to set up, requires no maintenance, and is there to assist when disaster strikes. Recovering from disaster is made very straight-forward by a 2-step recovery process so that it can be executed by operational teams when required. When used interactively (e.g. when used for migrating systems), menus help make decisions to restore to a new (hardware) environment.

Release Notes: Integrated with duply/duplicity support. systemd support has been added. Various small fixes and improvements to tape support, Xen, PPC, Gentoo, Fedora, multi-arch, storage layout configuration, and serial console integration.

Download Website 02 Oct 21:48 MUSCLE 5.82

Screenshot

MUSCLE (Multi User Server Client Linking Environment) is an N-way messaging server and networking API. It includes client-side networking APIs for various languages, including C, C++, C#, Delphi, Java, and Python. MUSCLE lets programs communicate over a network via streams of serialized Message objects. The included server program ("muscled") lets its clients message each other and store information in its server-side hierarchical database. The database supports flexible queries via hierarchical wildcarding, and "live" updates via a subscription mechanism.

Release Notes: This version updates the Hashtable class to use less memory when the hash table's array size is less than 65,535 entries.

Download Website 02 Oct 21:47 Collax V-Cube+ 6.1.0

Screenshot

Collax V-Cube+ is a HA cluster management suite based on a 64bit Linux system and KVM to provide server virtualization. It offers solutions for single virtualization hosts, as well as high availability management on two or more nodes, allowing embedded HA storage using DRBD and iSCSI. By using live snapshots, automatic live migration, and incremental backups, the availability of virtual machines is increased tremendously in case of hardware and software maintenance or even hardware failures. Virtual network switches and the protocols GVRP, LLDP, and RSTP help to set up a virtual DMZ.

Release Notes: Highly available iSCSI target functionality based on lio-utils and drbd. GUI-managed storage migration for virtual machines between drbd-, image-, iscsi-, and lv-disks. 64 vCPUs. Cluster File Share as a Windows (SMB/CIFS) or Apple share. Monitoring BBUs. Kernel 3.0.41, drbd 8.3.13, lio-utils 4.1, ctdb 1.12, lvm 2.02.88, and MySQL 5.5.20. The following issues have been fixed: extending OCFS-Share stopped the VM; a paused VM running after live migration; promoting and demoting of the Pacemaker resource led to GUI timeout; and an incorrect MTU setting led to Cluster join failure.
