The PCI Utilities package contains various utilities dealing with the PCI bus, and also a library for portable access to PCI configuration registers. It includes `lspci' for listing all PCI devices (very useful for debugging of both kernel and device drivers) and `setpci' for manual configuration of PCI devices.

Shed Skin is an experimental (restricted-)Python-to-C++ compiler. It accepts pure but implicitly statically typed Python programs and generates optimized C++ code. The result can be further compiled to stand-alone programs or extension modules. For a set of 63 non-trivial test programs, at more than 16,000 lines in total (sloccount), measurements show a typical speedup of 2-200 times over CPython. Not all Python features are supported, and only a subset of about 25 library modules, such as re and random.

Release Notes: This version adds the ability to filter messages based on the content of their headers. Please note that enabling this feature should be accompanied by disabling the use of the "softlimit" program. In addition to fixing some small bugs and a compiling error on Debian 7, it also fixes a series of major bugs which could lead to buffer overflows. Depending on spamdyke's configuration, these could cause remotely-exploitable security holes. Users should upgrade immediately.

din is a software musical instrument and audio synthesizer. Berkeley Yacc (byacc) is a high-quality yacc variant. It is written to avoid dependencies upon a particular compiler. It was written around 1990 by Robert Corbett, who previously wrote Bison. This version has been modified to conform to ANSI C.
Release Notes: This release adds an "-s" option to suppress extra #define's from %token directive string literals, for better conformance to original yacc. It improves/extends support for %pure-parser, including cross-checking test-cases against bison behavior.
The libexplain project provides a library that may be used to explain Unix and Linux system call errors. This will make your application's error messages much more informative to your users. The library is not quite a drop-in replacement for strerror, but it comes close: each system call has a dedicated libexplain function.
