Universal Password Manager (UPM) allows you to store usernames, passwords, URLs, etc. in an encrypted database protected by one master password. Its three strongest features are simplicity (it provides a small number of very strong features with no clutter), the ability to run cross-platform, and database sharing. Rather than having many separate databases (home, work, etc.), database sharing allows you store your database at a remote location (password protected HTTP URL, for example) and then have UPM automatically keep your local database in sync with the remote database.

Download Website 23 Jan 23:31 MIMEDefang 2.73

Screenshot

MIMEDefang is a flexible MIME email scanner designed to do all kinds of email processing, including anti-virus scanning, anti-spam scanning, replacing parts of messages with URLs, adding boilerplate disclaimers, and so on. It can alter or delete various parts of a MIME message according to a Perl-based policy filter. It can also bounce messages with unacceptable attachments and modify SMTP response codes on the fly. It works with the Sendmail 8.11 and newer "Milter" API, which makes it more flexible and efficient than procmail-based approaches.

Avatar

Release Notes: This release contains three new features. A new -G option causes files created by mimedefang to be group-readable and sockets to be group-readable/writable. The multiplexor snoops in on communications and saves the Sendmail queue-ID for logging purposes. It logs the queue ID when logging a slave's STDERR. Finally, MIMEDefang passes along the client port number, server IP address, and server port number to all filter functions. In addition to the three new features, there are several minor bugfixes.

Given its nature, it can be linked natively to any C/C++ library (database, XML, graphics, etc.), without an intermediate layer, and it is especially suited for low-resource (embedded) systems.

Release Notes: IPv6, SCTP, and Unix IPC support. A new server loop hook. A bug in memory session configuration that prevented use of default has been fixed. A multipart/form-data bug that could result in hanging connection on file upload has been fixed. Bad buffer length in http_is_valid_uri() has been fixed. Download Website 23 Jan 22:37 Philip's Music Writer 4.23

Screenshot

Philip's Music Writer is a program for typesetting music. It reads text files as input, and generates PostScript as output. It can also write simple MIDI files for proofhearing purposes. It is a Linux/Unix port of a program that has run for over a decade on Acorn systems, where it was known as Philip's Music Scribe.

Release Notes: There are two new command line options, -drawstavelines and -drawbarlines, which cause PMW to output stave and barlines using PostScript drawing commands instead of characters from the Music font. This can be useful in environments where PostScript interpreters do not handle the stave and barline characters well.
