NLopt is a library for nonlinear optimization that allows one to select from a wide variety of optimization algorithms by changing a single parameter. Its features include both local and global optimization, unconstrained, bound-constrained, or nonlinear-inequality constrained problems, and optimization using function values only or using derivatives if they are available. It was initially begun as a wrapper around several existing optimization packages, but it now also includes original implementations of several algorithms for which no free code was available. Qtractor is an Audio/MIDI multi-track sequencer application. The initial target platform is Linux, using the infrastructure of the Jack Audio Connection Kit (JACK) for audio and the Advanced Linux Sound Architecture (ALSA) for MIDI. It is meant to be a fairly-featured Linux desktop audio workstation GUI, specially dedicated to the personal home studio.

G4L is a hard disk and partition imaging and cloning tool. The created images are optionally compressed, and they can be stored on a local hard drive or transferred to an anonymous FTP server. The j661 project provides a generic CDS (or ARINC 661 Server) in order to facilitate the understanding of the ARINC 661 standard, prototype ARINC 661 concepts and architectures, and facilitate the reuse of ARINC 661 specifications and artefacts between projects. The CDS architecture is designed to allow defining the Server behavior to be easily modified or extended. ICU provides a Unicode implementation, with functions for formatting numbers, dates, times, and currencies (according to locale conventions, transliteration, and parsing text in those formats). It provides flexible patterns for formatting messages, where the pattern determines the order of the variable parts of the messages, and the format for each of those variables. These patterns can be stored in resource files for translation to different languages. Included are more than 100 codepage converters for interaction with non-unicode systems.
