Simple Continuous Integration Tools (scit) is an automated build and or test system consisting of a set of Perl and expect scripts utilizing common tools that are available for most Unix-like operating systems. The intention is to keep it lightweight while still providing a full set of features. The current version has a command-line and an HTML user interface. It should be possible to make it run on very modest hardware; part of the development and testing has been done on a Nokia N900 phone with both master and slave roles running on the same unit.
Release Notes: Pending force triggered builds are now shown on the main HTML page. A clean build option has been added. When it is enabled, the directory checked out from the version control system is removed before a new version is checked out.

prll is a utility for parallelizing the execution of shell functions. It provides a convenient interface for parallelizing the execution of a single task over multiple data files or any other kind of data that you can pass as a shell function argument. It is meant to make it simple to fully utilize a multicore/multiprocessor machine. prll is designed to be used not just in shell scripts, but also in interactive shells. To make the latter convenient, it is implemented as a shell function. Shells are not very good at automatic job management, so prll uses helper programs, written in C. To prevent race conditions, System V Message Queues are used to signal job completion. Standard output is buffered and Semaphores are used to prevent interleaving.
Release Notes: Rewritten for POSIX compatibility. It should work in all Bourne-like shells. Quiet mode suppresses job notifications. Proper option parsing is now used. Documentation is now in the form of a man page. Several minor improvements in error handling and performance.
c++-gtk-utils is a lightweight library containing a number of classes and functions for programming GTK+ programs using C++ in POSIX environments where the user does not want to use a full-on wrapper such as gtkmm or wxWidgets. It provides classes for managing the lifetimes of GTK+ widgets and windows that will make GTK+ exception safe, functions to make single instance programs where restarting will bring up the existing instance, smart pointer classes for memory management, thread-safe signal/slot classes with automatic disconnection, classes for using std iostreams with files opened with Unix file descriptors, functions for connecting a callback object and a Unix file descriptor to the main loop with provision for automatic disconnection, classes and functions for inter-thread communication, some convenience pthread wrapper classes., a class encapsulating anonymous Unix pipes, a class to reassemble UTF-8 sent over pipes and sockets, and classes for printing Postscript files and plain text using the GTK+ print system.

ssh-forcecommand is a script to safely execute remote commands via ssh. It is especially aimed at automated remote commands (in which ssh keys are not secured via password), where a compromise of the remote system could also compromise the local system. To prevent this, ssh-forcecommand can be invoked through the ssh configuration, which will limit the remote system so that it can only execute a set of statically defined commands. This way, compromising the local system is made much more difficult.
Release Notes: This is the initial release.

The STX B+ Tree package is a set of C++ template classes implementing a B+ tree key/data container in main memory. The classes are designed as drop-in replacements of the STL containers set, map, multiset, and multimap, and follow their interfaces very closely. By packing multiple value pairs into each node of the tree, the B+ tree reduces heap fragmentation and utilizes cache-line effects better than the standard red-black binary tree. The tree algorithms are based on the implementation in Cormen, Leiserson, and Rivest's Introduction into Algorithms, Jan Jannink's paper, and other algorithm resources. The classes contain extensive assertion and verification mechanisms to ensure the implementation's correctness by testing the tree invariants.
Release Notes: A missing STL function, erase(iterator iter), was implemented. Support was added for STL allocators as template parameters. A bug when shifting pairs from left to right leaf nodes during deletion was fixed. Speed tests were run again on up-to-date hardware.
