Download Website 11 May 09:17 DIFFUSE 0.3

Screenshot

DIFFUSE enables FreeBSD's IPFW firewall subsystem to classify IP traffic based on statistical traffic properties. With DIFFUSE, IPFW computes statistics (such as packet lengths or inter-packet time intervals) for observed flows, and uses ML (machine learning) techniques to assign flows into classes. In addition to traditional packet inspection rules, IPFW rules may now also be expressed in terms of traffic statistics or classes identified by ML classification. This can be helpful when direct packet inspection is problematic (perhaps for administrative reasons, or because port numbers do not reliably identify classes of applications). DIFFUSE also enables one instance of IPFW to send flow information and classes to other IPFW instances, which then can act on such traffic (e.g. to prioritize, accept, or deny) according to its class. This allows for distributed architectures, where classification at one location in your network is used to control firewalling or rate-shaping actions at other locations.

Release Notes: A few minor bugs were fixed, and a script for offline analysis was added.

It also fixes an important issue that was present since 3.4.0, which can cause the Wrapper to timeout and kill a JVM that is producing constant console output for extended periods of time.

Download Website 11 May 09:16 G'MIC 1.4.9.3

Screenshot

G'MIC (GREYC's Magic Image Converter) is a GIMP plugin based on GREYCStoration. It is a complete image processing toolbox that contains all the GREYCstoration features (of course), but also much many more filters for image denoising, enhancement, applying artistic effects, and more.

Release Notes: Color base conversions from RGB to sRGB are now available, with new native commands "-rgb2srgb" and "-srgb2rgb". Matrix division can be done now, with the native command "-mdiv" (equivalent to "-//"). The "-discard" command was added to allow the removal of values in specified images. G'MIC can now be compiled using g++-4.6. Some fixes have been required because the OpenCV headers were not compliant anymore. The "-Ofast" optimization mode can be enabled. The function to convert pixel values into a string was optimized. This may speed up the use of G'MIC syntaxes as "@-1" for instance.

      Download Website 11 May 08:59 Milk 0.3.10

      Screenshot

Milk is a machine learning toolkit in Python. Its focus is on supervised classification with several classifiers available: SVMs (based on libsvm), k-NN, random forests, and decision trees. It also performs feature selection. These classifiers can be combined in many ways to form different classification systems. For unsupervised learning, milk supports k-means clustering and affinity propagation.

Release Notes: The new milk.ext.jugparallel module was added to interface with jug (http://luispedro.org/software/jug). This makes it easy to parallelize things such as n-fold cross validation (each fold runs on its own processor) or multiple kmeans random starts. Some new functions were added: measures.curves.precision_recall, milk.unsupervised.kmeans.select_best.kmeans. A tricky bug in SDA and a few minor issues elsewhere were fixed.
