Jmx4Perl provides an alternate way of accessing Java JEE Server management interfaces that are based on JMX (Java Management Extensions). It is an agent-based approach where a small Web application deployed on the application server provides HTTP/JSON-based access to JMX MBeans registered within the application server. It is set up from a handful of Perl modules, which can be integrated seamlessly in your own programs. It also includes a Nagios plugin, check_jmx4perl, a jmx4perl command line tool for remote JMX queries and operations, and a readline-based JMX shell j4psh, with context sensitive command completion and syntax highlighting.

Release Notes: A Cacti command 'cacti_jmx4perl' has been added for easy graphing JMX data with RRD. The Java part of jmx4perl has been completely removed in favour of Jolokia agents, which can be easily downloaded and managed with the new 'jolokia' command line tool. The build process has been streamlined and bugs have been fixed.

FireBreath is a cross-platform plugin architecture, targeting NPAPI browsers on Windows, Mac OS X, and Linux (Gecko/Firefox, Google Chrome, Apple Safari, Opera) and ActiveX Control hosts, including all versions of Microsoft Internet Explorer. It is designed to make it easier to get started than even doing an NPAPI plugin by hand. A Python-based "fbgen" tool generates a template skeleton and makes it possible to have a functioning browser plugin up and running in 20 minutes.

HDT (Hardware Detection Tool) is an OS independent tool that displays low-level information on any x86 compatible system. class.upload.php manages file uploads for you. It manages the uploaded file and allows you to do whatever you want with the file as many times as you want. If the file is an image, you can convert and resize it, rotate it, crop it in many ways. You can also add borders, frames, bevels, text labels, and watermarks or apply graphic filters such as unsharp mask, contrast or brightness correction, colorization, negative, greyscale, reflections, and more. Security features and file management functions are provided. Flash uploaders and XMLHttpRequest uploads are supported. The class can also work on local files, is useful for batch processing, and can circumvent open_basedir restrictions. Files can be output directly to the browser. The error messages are internationalized, and translations provided. It is compatible with PHP 4 and 5.

Release Notes: Several transparency options have been added when uploading images. Handling of dangerous files and extensions has been improved.

Botan is a crypto library written in C++. Assembly and SIMD optimizations for common CPUs offers speedups for critical algorithms like AES and SHA-1.

Release Notes: The library can use memory allocation for responses. Many bugs have been fixed. A major bug is that the library doesn't thread empty responses.

"aura" is a desktop (X root window) background setter. It picks images randomly from specified paths, skipping those that are too small or have inappropriate aspect ratios, and rescales them by cropping solid margins, resizing with cubic interpolation and then the liquid rescale algorithm to fit the desktop with as little quality loss as possible. Images are labelled in the corner using embedded tags. It can changes images on a timed basis or when triggered by SIGHUP or the CLI, and tracks previous and blacklisted images.

The server no longer hangs because of a bad job list. The first bit of work was done for supporting the epoch portion of the protocol. Error message handling in clients was improved. CLEX is a file manager with a full-screen user interface written in C with the curses library. It displays directory contents (including file status details) and provides features like command history, filename insertion, or name completion in order to help the user to construct commands to be executed by the shell (there are no built-in commands). CLEX is easily configurable and all its features are explained in the on-line help.

Release Notes: The English documentation was proofread and corrected. Name completion now correctly expands a single tilde as a home directory. The new configuration parameter TIME_DATE controls the display of date and time.

PHP Tree Graph Ext is a PHP package that can be used to render graphical diagrams of hierarchical trees of nodes. Each node may be associated with a title, text, an image, and a desired width and height that it will occupy in the tree's graphical diagram. The colors of the image background, node, node links, and node texts are configurable. The node link style, node text font, and node border width can also be configured. The user can also choose which node will be the root, such that all nodes that aren't a descendant of the root won't be shown.

Lynkeos processes astronomical webcam images. By stacking the best images, the signal to noise ratio is increased, and details lost in the noise of individual images become visible in the resulting image. This software accepts, as input, QuickTime, AVI, and MPEG sequences, or still images, in any image format supported by its active plugins (TIFF, FITS) and Cocoa. It generates a 16-bit RGB TIFF or a monochrome FITS image as output, to be further processed with some all-purpose image processing application.
