Monit is a utility for managing and monitoring processes, programs, files, directories, and devices on a Unix system. It conducts automatic maintenance and repair and can execute meaningful causal actions in error situations. It can be used to monitor files, directories, and devices for changes, such as timestamps changes, checksum changes, or size changes. It is controlled via an easy to configure control file based on a free-format, token-oriented syntax. It logs to syslog or to its own log file and notifies users about error conditions via customizable alert messages. It can perform various TCP/IP network checks, protocol checks, and can utilize SSL for such checks. It provides an HTTP(S) interface for access.

fIcy is a command line icecast/shoutcast stream grabber. Its goal is to cleanly and automatically rip a stream into user-customizable files. It will work with any ICY-compatible stream, allowing you to either to save the stream to disk, pipe the output to a media player, or both.
Release Notes: Building on newer C++ compilers/libraries was fixed.
PrRescue is a rescue CD based on Gentoo amd64/i686 supporting nilfs2 and btrfs. Its goal is to always include the newest kernel and Gentoo packages.
Release Notes: XZ compression is now used for smaller file sizes. The kernel has been updated to version 2.6.38.2. Gentoo packages have been updated to the latest stable versions.
youtube-dl is a small command-line program for downloading videos from YouTube.com.
Release Notes: This release fixes a program crash that was happening with certain YouTube videos, and fixes the date extraction regular expression in YouTube.
Resara Server is an Active Directory compatible open source server for small businesses designed around Samba 4. It is designed to be simple and easy to use. Setup only takes a few minutes. The management console lets you manage users, share files, work with storage, and configure DHCP and DNS.
Release Notes: This release is considered ready for production use. It has been extensively tested by beta sites for over 4 months. It is mainly bugfixes and polishing. It includes some new keyboard shortcuts and fixes several bugs found by beta testers.
MUSCLE (Multi User Server Client Linking Environment) is an N-way messaging server and networking API. It includes client-side networking APIs for various languages, including C, C++, C#, Delphi, Java, and Python. MUSCLE lets programs communicate over a network via streams of serialized Message objects. The included server program ("muscled") lets its clients message each other and store information in its server-side hierarchical database. The database supports flexible queries via hierarchical wildcarding, and "live" updates via a subscription mechanism.
Release Notes: This release adds a Qt example application (in muscle/qtsupport/qt_example), and also various previously-missing functions for querying the settings of a socket. There are a few minor bugfixes.
LanguageTool is a style and grammar checker that currently supports English, Polish, German, French, Dutch, and other languages to a different degree. It scans the words and their part-of-speech tags for occurrences of error patterns, which are defined in an XML file. More powerful error rules can be written in Java. LanguageTool should be used after the spelling of a text has been corrected.
Release Notes: This release fixes a bug that might have crashed LanguageTool in some rare cases.
EMF To Graphviz (emf2gv) is an an Eclipse plugin that generates a graphical representation of an EMF model using GraphViz.
Release Notes: This version includes a filtering feature based on OCL expressions in order to filter the elements to be drawn, and a new type of ReferenceFigure (named RichReferenceFigure) allowing it to get labelled edges and to handle association classes.
Moscrack is a WPA cracker for use on clusters. It supports MOSIX, SSH, and RSH connectivity and works by reading a word list from STDIN or a file, breaking it into chunks, and passing those chunks off to separate processes that run in parallel. The parallel processes are then executed on different nodes in your cluster. All results are checked and recorded on your master node. Logging and error handling are taken care of. It is capable of running reliably for long periods of time, without the risk of losing data or having to restart. Moscrack uses aircrack-ng by default. Pyrit for WPA cracking and Dehasher for Unix password hashes are supported via plugins.
Release Notes: HotConfig improvements and fixes were made. A configuration file is used. Console output was improved. SSH uses pure Perl. Cygwin node stability was improved.
QScintilla is a port of the Scintilla C++ editor class to the Qt GUI toolkit.
Release Notes: This release is based on Scintilla v2.25. All new features added since Scintilla v1.78 are fully supported.
SymmetricDS is Web-enabled, database independent, data synchronization/replication software. It uses Web and database technologies to replicate tables between relational databases in near real time. The software was designed to scale for a large number of databases, work across low-bandwidth connections, and withstand periods of network outage. It includes support for Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL, H2, HSQLDB, Derby, MS SQL Server, Firebird, IBM DB2, Informix, Interbase, and Greenplum databases.
Release Notes: This minor release brings 15 bugfixes, 8 improvements, and 5 new features. It includes a new project organization and reduced library dependencies in preparation for mobile clients.
Kukkaisvoima is a lightweight blog system made with the Python programming language. It stores all blog entries as plain text files and has no external dependencies outside of Python's standard library (no need for a database engine, etc.).
Release Notes: Major improvements in the commenting system. Javascript comment validation, Gravatar support, and email notifications were added.
"aura" is a desktop (X root window) background setter. It picks images randomly from specified paths, skipping those that are too small or have inappropriate aspect ratios, and rescales them by cropping solid margins, resizing with cubic interpolation and then the liquid rescale algorithm to fit the desktop with as little quality loss as possible. Images are labelled in the corner using embedded tags. It can changes images on a timed basis or when triggered by SIGHUP or the CLI, and tracks previous and blacklisted images.
Release Notes: This release adds pidfile locking to avoid clashes/signaling unrelated processes. It has minor metadata processing enhancements.
The Drizzle project is building a database optimized for Cloud and Net applications. It is being designed for massive concurrency on modern multi-CPU/core architectures. The code is originally derived from MySQL.
Release Notes: First release of the Fremont series. This is a development release. multi-master replication is available via the slave plugin. Single master replication works as it has previously (some changes to the config file are required). libdrizzle version 1.0 and 2.0 have been split. Code refactoring, code cleanup (mysys, etc.), and various bugfixes.
Snortalog is a powerful Perl script that summarizes Snort logs, making it easy to view any network attacks detected by Snort. It can generate charts in HTML, PDF, and text output. It works with all versions of Snort, and can analyze logs in three formats: syslog, fast, and full snort alerts. Moreover, it is able to summarize other logs like CheckPoint, Netfilter, IPFilter, Packet Filter, Cisco PIX/ASA, NetScreen, TippingPoint, and Lucent BRICK in a similar way.
Release Notes: This release brings new features like TippingPoint, Netscreen, and CheckPoint R70 & R71 logs detection. The GUI works with the latest GD libraries to improve Windows compatibility.
JStock is stock market software for 26 countries. It provides a stock watchlist, an intraday stock price snapshot, a stock indicator editor, a stock indicator scanner, and portfolio management. Free SMS/email alerts are supported.
Release Notes: This version supports stock merging and splitting and buying and selling stock units in floating point. The investment flow chart is now able to show individual stock activity. The previous position and size of JStock can be restored. There is now an easy way to add new stock that is not in the offline database. A user is now able to choose between one or two columns for the stock input suggestion list. The user is now allowed to view history, even when the offline database is not ready. A total of five bugs were fixed.
pam_ttylog is a PAM module to log console output of a login shell. pam_ttylog takes an approach that makes a script-like environment in the PAM session section of /bin/login. Thus, the log files are in a user-unreachable directory and have user-unreadable/unwritable permissions. As PAM module, it doesn't need to modify or replace the original /bin/login, getty, telnet, or libraries for its installation and operation.

The STUBS Toolchain and Utility Build Suite is a set of scripts which, together with a set of pre-written configuration files, builds one or more software packages in sequence. STUBS is designed to work in very minimal environments, including those without "make", and URLs are included so source and patches can be downloaded as necessary. Configuration files and scripts are provided which create boot media for Franki/Earlgrey Linux (one of several example busybox- and uClibc-based Linux environments) and the intention is that STUBS should be able to rebuild such an environment from within itself.
Release Notes: This release updates the busybox, grep, gzip, and syslinux Makefiles to build more recent versions. The download URLs were updated where they had become obsolete.
Blink is a small public-access blog engine. It supports running multiple blogs. It displays a main page and links for accessing older posts. It allows a reader to search for posts. Each blog can be oldest post first or newest post first. Any blog can be set to take public posts or allow comments. Admin functions include archiving all blogs and the viewing and deleting of new posts and comments. Posts can also utilize a semiotic bolding of definitions and automatic linking to all definitions. All functionality is in one CGI file under 10 kb.
Release Notes: A minor refinement was made in the text output. The use of internal constants was made more consistent.
OpenSDMX provides components that can be used in every context where SDMX is implemented. SDMX is a model and ISO standard for organizing and exchanging statistical data. OpenSDMX produces SDMX data and metadata in a RESTful way.
Release Notes: The multi adapter concept was introduced. A lot of code was moved from the FishstatJ adapter to abstract classes in OpenSDMX. XML was formatted for the registry. A reference to the SDMX schemas was added in the produced SDMX XML artefacts. The WATER_AREA codelist was added.
TymeacDSE is a Java Fork-Join application server employing the Divide-and-Conquer methodology in either an embedded or remote (RMI) configuration.
Release Notes: This version adds indexing over the threads and queues to accommodate hundreds or thousands of threads. The Tymeac series of Fork-Join open source Java tools makes the proposed Java 7 inclusion seem little more than an academic exercise.
Rsyslog is an enhanced multi-threaded syslogd. Among others, it offers support for on-demand disk buffering, reliable syslog over TCP, SSL, TLS, and RELP, writing to databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, and many more), email alerting, fully configurable output formats (including high-precision timestamps), the ability to filter on any part of the syslog message, on-the-wire message compression, and the ability to convert text files to syslog. It is a drop-in replacement for stock syslogd and able to work with the same configuration file syntax.
Release Notes: This release has another set of fixes for some bugs that recently came in. It also contains some non-intrusive enhancements, like example code that demonstrates how to write a strgen module that generates SQL statements.
DB Solo is a powerful database development and management tool for developers and DBAs. It has an intuitive user interface that allows you to explore and manage your database objects as well as execute ad-hoc queries. It supports Oracle, MySQL, Sybase, DB2, Solid, PostgreSQL, and MS SQL Server. In addition to viewing and managing objects such as schemas, tables, indexes, views, tablespaces, users, roles, sessions, and stored procedures, you can view, edit, print, and export data from tables or the results of queries. You can also graphically view foreign key relationships.

din is a software musical instrument and audio synthesizer. Bezier curves are used to draw and sculpt waveforms, create gating and modulation (FM and AM) patterns, and create delay feedback and volume patterns. You can also create an unlimited number of drones and sculpt their waveforms. It uses JACK to output audio, and supports MIDI, OSC and IRC bot for input. din can be extended and customized with Tcl scripts.
Release Notes: Octave shifting is faster and more accurate. The beat in FM, AM, Gater, and Octave shift modules always progresses. Two new Octave shift patterns were added to the Octave shift curve library. A bug in the Bezier curve solver was fixed.
phlyMail is a groupware, webmailer, and PIM. It offers unlimited nested groups, unlimited POP3/IMAP profiles, quotas, an integrated address book, a calendar with multiple reminders and event repetitions, a file manager with an integrated WebDAV server, the ability to send faxes, SMS support (which lets you send SMS, get reminded of events via SMS, and get email notification via SMS), a bookmark manager, themes, and multilingual support. It uses either sendmail or SMTP to send email, and can handle MIME and SSL connections. Support for IDN (Internationalized Domain Names) is included. Through its modular design, it's easy to add completely new features as modules, which can be plugged into the system.
Release Notes: This build adds a WebDAV server for the file manager. The storage method of user and admin passwords was changed, so it now uses salted digests instead of plain MD5. Opt-in is used for recovering a user's password. Global boilerplates were added. A contacts sidebar was added. The preview and print view for contacts were improved. A few minor bugs were fixed.
