LRZIP is a compression program and library that can achieve very high compression ratios and speed when used with large files using unlimited sized compression windows. It uses the combined compression algorithms of zpaq and lzma for maximum compression, lzo for maximum speed, and the long range redundancy reduction of rzip. It is designed to scale with increases with RAM size, improving compression further. A choice of either size or speed optimizations allows for either better compression than even lzma can provide, or better speed than gzip, but with bzip2 sized compression levels. It also has high grade password protected encryption and full STDIN/STDOUT support.
Release Notes: This release corrects the fact that the lrzuntar, lrunzip symlinks, and pod-based man pages had been forgotten from the install. Configuration clearly shows on 64-bit that ASM is not supported now.
X File Explorer (Xfe) is a filemanager for X. It is based on the popular, but discontinued, X Win Commander. Xfe is desktop independent and is written with the C++ Fox Toolkit. It looks similar to Windows Commander or MS-Explorer, and is very fast and simple. It features file associations, the ability to mount/umount devices, a directory tree for quickly changing directories, the ability to change file attributes, automatic registry saving, the ability to view/create/extract compressed archives, and much more.

Crabgrass is social networking, group collaboration, and network organizing Web application. It consists of a solid suite of group collaboration tools such as private wikis, task lists, a file repository, and decision making tools. Work is currently being done on a large user interface overhaul, better social networking tools, blogs, and event calendars, as well as better support for collaboration and decision making among independent groups.

Fabula is a Python game engine suitable for adventure, role-playing, and strategy games and digital interactive storytelling. It offers a client-server architecture, an event-based protocol, multiplayer and networking capabilities, a multi-threaded server, an abstract, visualization-agnostic model of a game world, an asset manager, and a plugin system. Gameplay can be recorded and played back. The code is well documented and runs on Linux and MS Windows (it should work on OS X, too, but this has not yet been tested). Fabula can be used as a library to develop your own games. As an alternative, you can use the included Pygame-based graphical editor and the default game engine.

gShogi is a Shogi (Japanese chess) game. It features loading and saving of games, setting the level of play, retracting moves, choosing Eastern or Western pieces, opening book, resizing the board, and support for USI engines. gShogi is based on GNU Shogi. It uses engine code and graphics for the board pieces from GNU Shogi. It has a new front end GUI for GNOME.
Release Notes: You can now play handicap games, which is good for beginners when playing strong engines. New USI time controls have been added, giving a choice of seven in all. Support for the PSN format has been added for loading and saving games.

Rspamd is an anti-spam system designed to work faster than SpamAssassin by using the event model and various optimizations. Its most important features include regexp and Lua rules for filtering different parts of messages, a number of built-in functions for analyzing messages, fuzzy hash support, SURBL filters, email and character table support, a control interface for remote managing and stats gathering, a Lua plugin system, statistics support (OSB/Bayes), and an AJAX-based Web interface.
Release Notes: Improved rspamd performance under high load: when rspamd cannot process all email (due to overload), it turns off several filters to process the queue faster. The ability to specify individual domain lists for phishing checks has been added. Improved logic of rspamd termination now has hard timeout from receiving the termination signal until forceful killing of all workers. Now rspamd extracts URLs from mail subjects. A bug with cdb handling in multimap, a bug in phishing detection, and a bug in received_rbl module configuration have been fixed.
EiffelStudio is an IDE for the Eiffel language (ECMA-367, ISO/IEC 25436, and ACM Software System Award 2006). It includes: Eiffel compiler, Eiffel editor, Eiffel code browsing tool, Eiffel testing tool, graphical design tool, refactoring tool, debugger, profiler, and Eiffel analysis tools (Metrics, Dependencies, etc.). Eiffel generates C or CLI for .NET or Mono. Eiffel applies O-O principles and Design by Contract for high-quality software. Many Eiffel libraries are included: ADT, network, GUI, database, parsing (including an Eiffel parser), XML, Web, COM, and more.
Release Notes: This is the first beta release of EiffelStudio 6.8. This brings support for SCOOP (Simple Concurrent Object-Oriented Programming) for Windows and Linux platforms; support for other platforms will follow. The current implementation is only for frozen and melted code; finalization support will come soon. Various refresh and resizing issues have been fixed in EiffelVision for Windows. Graphical libraries have been improved to accept IMMUTABLE_STRING_XX as input without having to perform a conversion. Support has been added for OpenBSD on 64-bit platforms. LemonLDAP::NG is a modular Web SSO based on Apache::Session modules. It simplifies the building of a protected area with a few changes in the application. It manages both authentication and authorization and provides headers for accounting, so you can have full AAA protection for your Web space. LemonLDAP::NG is a complete rewrite of LemonLDAP. All components needed to use it and to administer it are included in the tarball. However, all modules developed for LemonLDAP may not work with LemonLDAP::NG.

Click'n'Drag is a Python module that introduces the "Plane" class, which extends PyGame's "Surface" functionality, offering a hierarchy of mouse-sensitive, draggable Surfaces that can be used as sprites, windows, icons, or other interactive elements. In addition, the clickndrag.gui module uses clickndrag to provide basic GUI elements like container, label, text box, option list, and button.
Release Notes: Improved cx_Freeze compatibility. TextBoxes now display a cursor. Planes now have callbacks for left and right mouse button. The position of a Plane can now be synced to another Plane. Blink is a small public-access blog engine. It supports running multiple blogs, displays a main page and links for accessing older posts, and supports searching. Each blog can be oldest post first or newest post first. Any blog can be set to take public posts or allow comments. Admin functions include archiving all blogs, and viewing and deleting posts and comments. Posts can also utilize a semiotic bolding of definitions and automatic linking to all definitions. Anti-spam functionality is included, with an IP-based block list. All functionality is in one CGI file smaller than 15 KB.

libsndfile is a C library for reading and writing sound files such as AIFF, AU, WAV, and others through one standard interface. It can currently read/write 8, 16, 24 and 32-bit PCM files as well as 32 and 64-bit floating point WAV files and a number of compressed formats. It compiles and runs on *nix, MacOS, and Win32.
Release Notes: WAV files are now written with an 18 byte u-law and A-law fmt chunk. A document on virtual I/O functionality was added. Two new methods were added in sndfile.hh. A fix was made for a non-zero SSND offset values on AIFF. Minor bug fixes and improvements were done.
Clonezilla is a partition or disk cloning tool similar to Symantec Ghost. It saves and restores only blocks in use on the hard drive if the file system is supported. For unsupported file systems, dd is used instead. It has been used to clone a 5 GB system to 40 clients in about 10 minutes.
Release Notes: The underlying GNU/Linux operating system was upgraded. This release is based on the Debian Sid repository (as of 2011/Mar/23). Partclone was updated to 0.2.21. The existing image directory will only be removed after the first confirmation, not before it. The Perl temp file (e.g. .nfs0000000096af2bf70000000f) in an existing image directory is avoided. The grep segfault when checking an unknown file system if supported by partclone was fixed.
Movgrab is a command-line movie downloader for sites like YouTube. It has no dependencies; everything that's needed should be there in the tar.gz package. Movgrab can connect through an HTTP proxy, can output the download to stdout for piping into another program, and can fork into the background to free up the console. When forked into the background, its progress can still be seen in a ps list.
Release Notes: Support for ign.com was removed. Support was added for www.washingtonpost.com, www.cbsnews.com, www.france24.com, www.metatube.com, and www.motionfeeds.com. Support for various sites was fixed. The code falls back to the "generic youtube frontend" if the Web site type cannot be detected.
rpmerizor is a script that allows you to create an RPM package simply by specifying files on the command line and answering a few questions.
Release Notes: A bug that occurred when only files were passed to rpmerizor was fixed. Two new options were added: url and packager. RPM working directories are now tested and created if necessary. The rpmbuild dependency is also tested at the beginning of the script.
The very simple control protocol is a protocol for M2M (machine to machine), home automation, and similar things. This package includes programming tools, daemons, and userspace tools for using this protocol.
Release Notes: A level II raw Ethernet driver is in place. Devices that communicate over Ethernet without a TCP/IP stack are supported. Measurement conversions are in place. Helpers to get variables from the server are in place. The VSCP Driver interface (level II) is in place. A level II logger driver is in place. Log files can be created that log from specific channels in a text format or VSCP works XML format for later investigation. A level II Bluetooth proximity driver is in place.
