metagloss is an annotation-centric Android library for reducing boilerplate code. Relying on run-time parsing and compile-time code generation, metagloss provides facilities for mapping XML and databases to data objects, dealing with preference screens and working with DB queries.
Release Notes: Notable new features include compile-time validation for most annotations and the Query annotation for working with SQLite databases.
iText is a library that contains classes to generate and manipulate documents in the Portable Document Format (PDF). Document manipulation includes splitting, merging, and filling out forms (AcroForms, static and dynamic XFA forms).
Release Notes: The most substantial changes are in the HTMLWorker functionality. Some new features were added, but most of all: the code has been rewritten to make it easier to extend. The code has also been screened, optimizing performance and reducing the memory use. There are plenty of bugfixes.
Seismic Toolkit is a tool for processing and displaying seismic signal data in a graphical interface. It reads seismic signals in SAC format, and provides a variety of signal processing, such as filtering, spectral analysis, polarisation analysis, time-frequency representation, Hilbert transform, and singular value decomposition. Some utilities are included for useful seismological applications, like computation of Seismic Moment Mo, Mantle magnitude Mm and Moment magnitude Mw, MTPA spectral analysis, plotting focal mechanisms, computation (and plotting) of instrumental response from poles and zeros, and some usefull GMT (Generic Mapping Tool) scripts for plotting signals, responses, and time-frequency in Postscript files for high quality prints.
Release Notes: Compilation problems due to deprecated functions were solved with less restrictive pre-processor directves. A new utility program, Cairo_SAC, was added for plotting (in PDF, PS, or PNG) a large number of SAC files using Cairo functions.
Alkaline is a PHP content management system (CMS) for creative professionals and small businesses that is designed to be used alone or in conjunction with your own proprietary code. The application handles posts as well as images, and can manage both raster (GIF, JPEG, and PNG) and vector graphics (PDF, SVG). The software features customizable themes, extensions, and more. It can be used by novices (for example, drag-and-drop social network integration) and advanced users (for example, overriding the theme engine). It works with most Web server software, including Apache and Windows Server.
Release Notes: This is the initial release.
SMTP client class is a PHP class that connects to a mail server to send messages. It can relay message delivery to a defined server or directly deliver messages to a recipient's server for urgent message delivery. It supports secure connections with SSL or starting TLS after the connection is established, connection timeouts, authentication using PHP SASL class (PLAIN, LOGIN, CRAM-MD5, NTLM), POP3 before SMTP delivery authentication, and takes advantage of the SMTP PIPELINING extension to buffer SMTP commands, providing much faster queueing of messages when delivering to a large number of recipients (bulk mail).
Release Notes: This release adds support for connecting to the SMTP server via SOCKS servers or HTTP proxy servers.
Panoptes is a scalable, extensible network and host monitoring tool. It includes a dynamic Web management interface based on the Dojo toolkit. It monitors SNMP, TCP port availability, ICMP, HTTP response and content, and SSL certificates internally. It supports monitoring anything else via shell scripts. It also includes a packet capture tool for discovery of hosts, port, and OS.
Release Notes: Jabber notifications were added. ICMP monitors were fixed. Dashboards were added. Code cleanup and bugfixes were done. UI enhancements were made.
neap is a pager that runs in the notification area or systray of your desktop's panel. It follows the freedesktop.org specifications.
Release Notes: Performance improvements were made. Configuration support was improved. The "-v" command line option was added.
prescanic is a fully featured IP scanner. It supports SYN scanning, banner grabbing, forking, a debug mode, a verbose mode, anonymous login detection, telnet parsing, HTTP server information, RPC scanning, and more.
Release Notes: MySQL support was added. DNS communication has been dropped until it is fixed. More ports were added.
MckoiDDB is a distributed database system for applications that need to support low latency random access (read and write) queries on datasets that span a cluster of machines in a network. The software provides the system for managing the storage of data over the network cluster and a client API for accessing and querying the data. The MckoiDDB system can scale up or down as resources are added or removed in the network, and is flexible in how the logical data models of an application are designed and implemented. MckoiDDB can be installed on high-speed private networks and over instances in Cloud service providers.
Release Notes: Additional functionality was added. Performance improvements were made to the Object Data Model API.
Tomb is a system to make strong encryption easy for everyday use. A tomb is like a locked folder that can be safely transported and hidden in a filesystem. Its keys can be kept separate; for example, you can keep the tomb on your computer and its key on a USB stick. Tomb is written in code that is easy to review and links shared components: it consists of a ZShell script and desktop integration apps; it uses standard GNU tools and the cryptographic API of the Linux kernel (dm-crypt) via cryptsetup.
Release Notes: Tomb is now a desktop application following freedesktop.org standards: it provides a status tray and integrates with file managers. This release also fixes some bugs and provides a manual page.
Koha is a library automation system (ILS). It is designed to manage physical collections of items (books, CDs, videos, reference, etc.). It provides cataloging, searching, member/patron management, an acquisitions system, and circulation (issues, returns, and reserves).
Release Notes: This is a bugfix release.
The cdcat is a graphical (Qt based) multi-platform catalog program that scans the directories/drives you want and memorizes the filesystem (including the tags of MP3s) and stores it in a small file. The database is stored in a gzipped XML format, so you can hack it, or use it if necessary. Cdcat can store the contents of some specified files up to a size limit if you want (for example: *.nfo).
Release Notes: This release fixes a lot of bugs, adds various CSV imports from other catalog programs, and adds category support. Also, a progress bar is now shown when loading a catalog and when scanning a medium.
MailSteward will archive all of your email in a database for easy retrieval, without touching or modifying the email in your email client program. Just click on the Store Email in Database button and MailSteward will go to work storing copies of all your email, both text and HTML versions, and attachments, into a relational database file. You can then retrieve email and attachments from the database by searching on Date, From, To, Subject, Mailbox, or Body text.
Release Notes: There is no longer a default database file. Now the user chooses where to locate it and what to name it. The "Open Recent" item, which lists recently opened database files, was added to the File menu.
