LFT (Layer Four Traceroute) is a sort of "traceroute" that often works much faster than the commonly-used Van Jacobson method and goes through many configurations of packet-filter based firewalls. More importantly, LFT implements numerous other features, including TCP, UDP, or ICMP-based traces, AS number lookups through several reliable sources, loose source routing, netblock name lookups, and more. LFT also distinguishes between layer-4 protocols, which make its statistics slightly more realistic, and gives a savvy user the ability to trace protocol routes, not just layer-3 hops.

Release Notes: The database search function has been enhanced to allow searching for file rename events (pairs of added/missing files with an identical inode yet different names). For regular expressions (e.g. in filters), Perl-style regexes are used now instead of POSIX regexes, because the latter are deprecated as of PHP 5.3.0.
EMF Validation Builder is an Eclipse plugin that automates the validation process at the time of saving. This means that resource problem markers are up to date as soon as you save your model. A dependency table is maintained, which allows the validation process to be re-run when necessary. In particular, the tool can be directly used with ECore model files.
Release Notes: ECore files validation is now activated by default. A view has been added allowing you to see the EMF resources that are managed by the validation builder, see the resources referenced by a resource (as child nodes in the tree), and perform a full clean of the builder metadata.
samhain is a daemon that can check file integrity, search the file tree for SUID files, and detect kernel module rootkits (Linux only). It can be used either standalone or as a client/server system for centralized monitoring, with strong (192-bit AES) encryption for client/server connections and the option to store databases and configuration files on the server. For tamper resistance, it supports signed database/configuration files and signed reports/audit logs. It has been tested on Linux, FreeBSD, Solaris, AIX, HP-UX, and Unixware.
Release Notes: It is possible now to skip checksumming for files matching user-defined criteria (based on file size, permission, name, and/or file type). Several minor bugs have been fixed.
