Paludis is a package manager for Gentoo (and derived distributions) and Exherbo. It consists of a core library and a number of console-based clients. Package formats supported include Gentoo ebuilds and kdebuilds (as defined by the Package Manager Specification), the Exherbo exheres-0 format, and various miscellaneous utility pseudo-formats for managing accounts, unwritten and unavailable packages, and packages for which no package exists.

Release Notes: cave resolve --via-binary would lock up under certain circumstances. This is now fixed. A new 'cave resolve' option: '--no-restarts-for'. A new 'cave' subcommand: 'generate-metadata'.

Three convenient command line utilities, clush, clubak, and nodeset, allow traditional shell scripts to benefit some useful features offered by the library.

PLD RescueCD is a bootable disk that contains a live Linux distribution based on PLD Linux x86 and x86-64. It uses transparent xz compression to fit about 180 MB of software onto a single mini CD in a usable form. It can be used to rescue ailing machines, perform intrusion post-mortems, or act as a temporary secure Linux-based workstation. It is possible to boot via PXE and from USB devices.

Release Notes: This release uses kernel 2.6.37, contains 600 packages, updates 402 packages, and adds aoetools, vblade, btrfs-progs, fsarchiver, partclone, lrzip, lxz, pigz, and xz.

It allows for adding customers, resellers, and wholesale resellers with few clicks. Clustering functions are also built in, so you can expand and add servers whenever you need. Migrating customers between servers is easy and automatic, making it the most extensible panel to date. The services installed by default are Apache, BIND, MySQL, Pure-ftpd, Qmail, and Bogofilter. You can also switch between Apache and Lighttpd, BIND and djbdns, Bogofilter and Spamassassin. All configuration files are converted automatically in the process.

Release Notes: This version brings better option checking, improved documentation, output to XML/JSON/S-expressions, matching based on message size, improved portability, and many small improvements. Fixes were made for all known bugs.

With MetaModel, you use a type-safe SQL-like API for querying any datastore. It is a data access framework providing a common interface for exploration and querying of different types of datastores. It isn't a data mapping framework. Instead, it emphasizes abstraction of metadata and the ability to add data sources at runtime, making MetaModel great for generic data processing applications, but less so for applications modeled around a particular domain.

Release Notes: A fluent query builder API was added, providing further type-safety to the SQL/LINQ-style of querying datastores. Support for Excel 2007+ (.xlsx) spreadsheets was added. Composite datastores are supported, allowing you to define queries that span multiple datastores. Support for Excel formula calculation was added. Everything is now an interface. Default implementations are immutable, making MetaModel suitable for highly concurrent applications.

creepy is an application that allows you to gather geolocation related information about users from social networking platforms and image hosting services. The information is presented in a map inside the application where all the retrieved data is shown, accompanied with relevant information (i.e. what was posted from that specific location) to provide context to the presentation.

Release Notes: Support was added for more map providers. The default now is Google Maps' satellite view. Minor bugs were fixed. A right-click context menu was added on the locations list to provide the option to copy coordinates in a clipboard or open the location in a browser (for Google Maps). A Windows installer was added.
