Download Website 02 Dec 22:19 rho 1.0.32

Screenshot

Rho is a small, very powerful console-based POSIX text editor and mini-IDE with Bash/Emacs key bindings. A configuration file allows the user to create macros using not only any internal function but anything available to a shell command. Keyboard macros (Ctl-Alt-A through Z) can be sourced into the editor for each kind of task, the next sourcing overwriting the last. Rho also allows an unlimited number of templates (sh, awk, python, etc.) to be injected into executable buffers which trap stdout and stderr.

Avatar

Release Notes: Because a good percentage of the downloads are coming from Japan, the legacy japan.h was restored for the internal messages as lang_ja.h. The online help was reworked and the Makefile was updated.

No download Website 02 Dec 22:18 Fotoxx 11.12.1

Screenshot

Fotoxx navigates an image collection using a thumbnail browser to choose images to view or edit. Edit functions include brightness, contrast, color, gamma, white balance, tone mapping, red eyes, sharpen, blur, noise suppression, smart erase, trim (crop), resize, rotate, add text, bend/warp, many art effects, HDR, HDF, stack, and panorama. Edit functions use movable curves and sliders. Feedback is live using the whole image. RAW files can be edited and saved with deep color. Areas or objects can be selected using freehand draw, follow edge, and tone matching. Selections can be edited in place with adjustable blending. They can also be cut and pasted into other images. Any metadata can be edited, reported, and searched (filenames, tags, dates, geotags, comments, captions, ratings, etc.). Collections (arbitrary subsets) can be defined and viewed. Batch functions are available for rename, resize/export, RAW conversion, and more.

Release Notes: This release will automatically trim unused margins left over from the panorama, warp, and unbend functions. It will automatically find bright or dark "stuck" pixels (camera sensor defects) and fix them by interpolating neighboring pixels. Pixel locations can be saved and applied to other photos. Select Area was extended to both select and un-select by matching colors, and the search range was made adjustable. The resize and export function can convert to JPEG, PNG, or TIFF format. RAW conversion can output to JPEG, PNG, TIFF-8, and TIFF-16. There were several other minor improvements and four bugs were corrected.

Download Website 02 Dec 22:15 OpenCSG 1.3.2

Screenshot

OpenCSG is a library that does image-based CSG rendering using OpenGL. CSG is short for "constructive solid geometry" and represents a modeling technique for composing shapes with 3D-primitives which are combined using volumetric boolean operations. Image-based CSG rendering means rendering CSG shapes without calculating their surface in object-space. Instead, the image of a CSG shape is composed directly in the frame-buffer of the graphics hardware by rather sophisticated stenciling and z-buffer operations.

Release Notes: This is a maintenance release. It fixes a couple of rendering errors when setting up frame buffer objects or PBuffers with unusual combinations of available OpenGL extensions. Furthermore, the calling application may now render into a frame buffer object when calling OpenCSG. This failed with former versions because OpenCSG did not switch back to the original frame buffer object. The release also contains some compilation fixes for Mac OS X.

Download Website 02 Dec 21:54 Fimex 0.34

Screenshot

Fimex is a the File Interpolation, Manipulation, and EXtraction library for gridded geospatial data. It converts between different, extensible data formats (currently netcdf, NcML, grib1/2, metgm, wdb, and felt). It enables you to change the projection and interpolation of scalar and vector grids. It makes it possible to subset the gridded data and to extract only parts of the files. For simple usage, Fimex also comes with the command line program fimex.

Avatar

Release Notes: This release has a shared-connection pool for better scalability when accessing many model results from a single wdb instance. In addition, the NcML reader in Fimex now supports an extension to identify variables that are part of a spatial vector. Thus, vector reprojections are now possible for all supported input sources, not just felt or grib files. Crashes of fimex in template-based reprojections have been fixed, and it is again possible to write character data to netcdf files. The unit tests of Fimex have been backported to work again under Boost 1.34.

Download Website 02 Dec 21:49 Relax-and-Recover 1.12.0

Screenshot

Relax-and-Recover (Rear) is a bare metal disaster recovery and system migration solution, similar to AIX mksysb or HP-UX ignite. It is composed of a modular framework and ready-to-go workflows for many common situations to produce a bootable image and restore from backup using this image. It can restore to different hardware, and can therefore be used as a migration tool as well. It supports various boot media (including tape, USB, or eSATA storage, ISO, PXE, etc.), a variety of network protocols (including SFTP, FTP, HTTP, NFS, and CIFS), as well as a multitude of backup strategies (including IBM TSM, HP DataProtector, Symantec NetBackup, Bacula, and rsync). It was designed to be easy to set up, requires no maintenance, and is there to assist when disaster strikes. Recovering from disaster is made very straight-forward by a 2-step recovery process so that it can be executed by operational teams when required. When used interactively (e.g. when used for migrating systems), menus help make decisions to restore to a new (hardware) environment.

Release Notes: Multi-system and multi-copy support on USB storage devices. Basic rsync backup support. More extensive exclude options. The new layout code is enabled by default. Support for Arch Linux. Improved multipath support. Experimental btrfs support.
