Qore PostgreSQL Module is a DBI driver module for the Qore programming language to communicate with PostgreSQL databases. The PostgreSQL driver transparently handles client and server character encodings, supports multi-threading, transaction management, stored procedure execution, and more.

Release Notes: The module was updated to compile with only client header files; previously, server headers were needed as well. Furthermore, the module was updated to build for Windows and some build fixes were made for newer Linux distributions.

Release Notes: The sunrise calculation was changed to consider dawn to be standard Civil Dawn when the sun is six degrees below the horizon. There were several documentation cleanups and corrections and a few minor code cleanups.

Qtractor is an Audio/MIDI multi-track sequencer application. The initial target platform is Linux, using the infrastructure of the Jack Audio Connection Kit (JACK) for audio and the Advanced Linux Sound Architecture (ALSA) for MIDI. It is meant to be a fairly-featured Linux desktop audio workstation GUI, specially dedicated to the personal home studio.

Release Notes: The loop-recording/takes feature has been implemented. Default session file format is now an option. LV2 State extension support has been added. The Options dialog has been re-arranged. In-flight recording display has been improved. MIDI clip file revision numbering has been fixed. A Clip "Unlink" option has been added. Many more subtle fixes and nano-features have sneaked in.

Rho is a small, very powerful console-based POSIX text editor and mini-IDE with Bash/Emacs key bindings. A configuration file allows the user to create macros using not only any internal function but anything available to a shell command. Keyboard macros (Ctl-Alt-A through Z) can be sourced into the editor for each kind of task, the next sourcing overwriting the last. Rho also allows an unlimited number of templates (sh, awk, python, etc.) to be injected into executable buffers which trap stdout and stderr.

Release Notes: Next-buffer and select-buffer ignore the default "scratch" buffer. The scratch buffer must be specifically requested with select-buffer. This-error now parses both compiler-style errors (fname:lineno:desc) and bash-style errors (fname: line lineno: desc).

The Intel Software Development Emulator is a functional emulator for new and upcoming instruction set extensions. The emulator is based on the Pin dynamic binary instrumentation system (and XED). It emulates the new instructions in the SSE4, AES, PCLMULQDQ, and RTM, BMI1, and BMI2 Intel AVX, AVX2, and AVX512 instruction set extensions. This allows developers to gain familiarity with Intel's upcoming instruction set extensions.

Release Notes: Linux 3.x is supported. There is better support for running on AVX-enabled hosts. All output files now begin "sde-" and end with ".txt" by default. Mix is faster and does more analysis of SIMD operations. Mix has line number support for the top blocks when the information is available in the application. The -ptr-chk option now checks the memory references of gather operations. A file descriptor leak when exec'ing thousands of threads on Linux has been fixed. There are miscellaneous other stability improvements.

Release Notes: Query-replace is now non-interactive in macros. Usage of this is shown in the script-init macro in the example .rhorc file. Create-script has been generalized to take a "type" and a "name." Given type "sh" and name "test," it creates test.sh and inserts ~/.rho/sh.rho as boilerplate if it exists. Execute-script has been generalized, as well.

Release Notes: The new execute_script() executes script buffers and traps stderr and stdout in popup buffers. Create_script() was added. If requested to create "test", it creates a buffer for "test.sh" and inserts ~/.rho/script.rho if it exists. Otherwise, it inserts the envar $bangline. Error handling and overall behavior in the IDE's error processing functions were improved. Nexterror() was factored out of next_error and make.
