Scache is a different approach for PHP session data management. It provides a generic key-value data cache to use for transient session data storage. Scache also provides a shared keyspace, shared counters, and simple cache features. Scache's difference to other implementations is a tree-structured keyspace where one can easily operate only on required parts of stored session data and also invalidate groups of stored data by expiring whole subtrees. Despite its name, scache is not a cache. Scache stores all session data inserted until data is deliberately destroyed and so reduces the need to redundantly store the same data somewhere else. Scache consists of a daemon and a PHP extension.
Release Notes: Cache features have been rewritten to support structured keyspaces. Some bugfixes and fixed packaging have been added.
S3QL is a file system that stores all its data online. It supports Amazon S3, Google Storage, and OpenStack and effectively provides you with a hard disk of dynamic, infinite capacity that can be accessed from any computer with Internet access. S3QL provides a standard, full featured Unix file system that is conceptually indistinguishable from any local file system. Additional features include compression, encryption, data de-duplication, immutable trees, and snapshotting, which make it especially suitable for online backup and archiving. The design favors simplicity and elegance over performance and feature-creep. Care has been taken to make the source code as readable and serviceable as possible. Solid error detection, error handling, and extensive automated test cases are provided.
Release Notes: Metadata is now always LZMA compressed, mount.s3ql's --compress option only affects compression of file contents. Network errors that occur in the middle of a read operation are now handled correctly. s3qladm now uses cached metadata if available.

dCache is a distributed storage solution. It organizes storage across computers so the combined storage can be used without the end-users being aware of precisely which computer stores their data; end-users simply see a large amount of storage. Because end-users need not know on which computer their data is stored, their data can be migrated from one computer to another without any interruption of service. This allows dCache storage computers to be taken out of service or additional machines (with additional storage) to be added without interrupting the service the end-users enjoy.
