offrss is a standalone program that can download your favorite feeds and then show them in your favorite Web browser by spawning a simple local Web server. It will not only download the feeds' text, but also the pictures, so you will also be able to read comics strips and enjoy posts with pictures in them while offline. It can also generate PDFs from text. It remembers what you read and what you don't, and all the information stays in normal files, so you can synchronize it easily to any device that may not have an Internet connection. It can also work as a CGI to serve your feeds in your Web site, and it can update the feeds from crontab. It has few dependencies to build and can be cross compiled easily.
Release Notes: This is the first release.
PDNSOps, is a Web-based script which aids in administering domains and records for the PowerDNS SQL name server software. It is targeted mainly toward individual domain owners, but should be robust enough to be used in a larger capacity by an ISP or other big host. Release Notes: New database support was added. Some bugs were fixed. New features were added. One security issue was fixed.
FidoCadJ is a very easy-to-use editor, with a library of electrical symbols and footprints (through hole and SMD). Drawings can be exported in several graphic formats (PDF, EPS, PGF for LaTeX, SVG, PNG, and JPEG). Although very simple and not relying on any netlist concept, FidoCadJ can be considered a basic electronic design automation program. FidoCadJ uses a file format containing only UTF-8 text, which is very compact and suited for copying and pasting with newsgroups and forum messages. This determined its success, as it is quite versatile for simple mechanical drawings as well as for electronics.
Release Notes: Many bugs have been fixed. Almost each graphic element can now be associated with two lines of text, as was previously possible only with macros. FidoCadJ now asks for confirmation and allows saving the drawing when closing a window containing unsaved data. A Spanish translation was added.
ErlyMUD is a rather minimalistic MUD server, written in Erlang and making use of the excellent OTP libraries. The aim is to have solid support for exploration and roleplaying, within a highly fault-tolerant environment where system crashes or reboots are more of an exotic curiosity than a commonplace thing.
Release Notes: Online room editing is now possible through "redit" and "addexit" commands. A privilege system is in place to restrict some commands. Safer connection handling has been implemented; it now uses flow control, and TCP listener and acceptor processes are in their own supervision structure separate from "live" connections. Data files have been relocated to a top-level directory, instead of below the release version.
Splice is a label maker for CDs, DAT tapes, 8mm tapes, and analog cassette tapes. It is primarily intended for live music, but it can be used for any label need. The setlists are stored in a simple textual fashion consisting of a header, the songs, and an optional trailer. The setlist format is designed to both easy to use (both by splice and the person creating the setlist) and easy to read. Splice's output is either PS or PDF format.
Release Notes: More issues with spaces in paths were fixed.
ms-sys is a Linux program for writing Microsoft compatible boot records. The program does the same as Microsoft's "fdisk /mbr" to a hard disk or "sys d:" to a floppy or FAT32 partition, except that it does not copy any system files (only the boot record is written).
Release Notes: A sanity check is now done before only writing the BPB to a FAT32 partition.
FAPWS (Fast Asynchronous Python WSGI Server) is a fully WSGI-compliant Web server for the Python environment. It is designed to be small and fast and is capable of handling many concurrent connections.

A better Django adaptor was added. A session object was added, which allows you to associate a Python object (typically a dictionary) to a session ID. A cookie parser was added (in base.py). Management of connections broken by the client was improved. A new multipart object was added, allowing you to better manage uploads. A new HTML form generator, SimpleForm, was added.
Zero Install is a decentralized cross-distribution software installation system. It allows software developers to publish programs directly from their own Web sites, while supporting features familiar from centralized distribution repositories such as shared libraries, automatic updates, and digital signatures. It is intended to complement, rather than replace, the operating system's package management. 0install packages never interfere with those provided by the distribution.
Release Notes: An improved command-line interface is provided through the new "0install" command. The GUI display is clearer when no suitable version of a component can be found for some reason. The 0alias command works better when no writable directory is found. The <runner> element can now be used recursively (e.g. an E program needs to be run by the E interpreter, which in turn needs to be run by Java). The Windows version is now considerably more usable.
Task Coach is a simple todo manager to manage personal tasks and todo lists. It grew out of a frustration that well-known task managers, such as those provided with Outlook or Lotus Notes, do not provide facilities for composite tasks. Often, tasks and other things to do consist of several activities. Task Coach is designed to deal with composite tasks.
Release Notes: This is a bugfix release.
Paludis is a package manager for Gentoo (and derived distributions) and Exherbo. It consists of a core library and a number of console-based clients. Package formats supported include Gentoo ebuilds and kdebuilds (as defined by the Package Manager Specification), the Exherbo exheres-0 format, and various miscellaneous utility pseudo-formats for managing accounts, unwritten and unavailable packages, and packages for which no package exists.
Release Notes: When a package strongly blocks other installed slots of itself, the resolver no longer fails to find an ordering if upgrading older slots would make the blocker no longer met. "cave show" now displays overridden masks on unmasked packages.
Mathomatic is a portable, general-purpose computer algebra system (CAS) that can solve, differentiate, simplify, combine, and compare algebraic equations, perform standard, complex number, modular, and polynomial arithmetic, etc. It does some calculus and is very easy to compile/install, learn, and use. The symbolic math application with a simple command-line interface is designed to be a colorful algebra calculator that is reliable, responsive, and convenient to use. The symbolic math library is lightweight and easy to include in other software, due to being written entirely in C with no additional dependencies.
Release Notes: The plot and fraction commands were improved. Maintenance and porting to Solaris and Cygwin were done.
Pondus is a personal weight manager that keeps track of your body weight. It aims to be simple to use, lightweight, and fast. The data can be plotted to get a quick overview of the history of your weight. A simple weight planner allows you to define "target weights" and this plan can be compared with the actual measurements in a plot.
Release Notes: This release contains mainly translation and documentation updates.
dwarf-ng is a small and powerful object file manipulator. With dwarf-ng, you can read, edit, and manipulate section headers, inject code or data, and create new section headers of object files. Currently, it handles object files in the PE, Mach-O, and ELF formats. For the moment, dwarf-ng only has a command-line interface. dwarf-ng is fully scriptable (as it has a scripting language), and is flexibly configurable.
Release Notes: The program was rewritten from scratch. The libdwarf architecture is used. Support was added for raw files and 64-bit formats of PE, Macho, Elf. The parse tree was removed and consequently the if-then-else construct and while construct were removed from dwarf's language. The parse tree, if-then-else, and while will be reintroduced in future versions. Structured variables are no longer stored in memory, but are directly accessed from the file when needed. Dwarf's language syntax changed. The dwarfrc configuration file was introduced. Multiple files can be open and working simultaneously.
