Jolokia is a fresh way of accessing JMX MBeans remotely. It is different from JSR-160 connectors, as it is an agent based approach that uses JSON over HTTP for its communication. It provides new features for JMX remoting: bulk requests allow for multiple JMX operations with a single remote server roundtrip, there is a fine-grained security mechanism for restricting JMX access on specific JMX operations, JSR-160 proxy mode, and history tracking, to name a few. Jolokia's origins are in jmx4perl. Client bindings in addition to Perl have already been added, and more are planned.

Release Notes: This version features an improved design as well as better warning and error messages.
Jmx4Perl provides an alternate way of accessing Java JEE Server management interfaces that are based on JMX (Java Management Extensions). It is an agent-based approach where a small Web application deployed on the application server provides HTTP/JSON-based access to JMX MBeans registered within the application server. It is set up from a handful of Perl modules, which can be integrated seamlessly in your own programs. It also includes a Nagios plugin, check_jmx4perl, a jmx4perl command line tool for remote JMX queries and operations, and a readline-based JMX shell j4psh, with context sensitive command completion and syntax highlighting.
Release Notes: This release contains bugfixes, an optimized output for the service description of Nagios multi checks, and an additional --method option for check_jmx4perl in order to select the HTTP method to use.
Vendetta Online is a multi-platform 3D space-combat MMO for Windows, Mac, Linux/32 and Linux/64. The X Binary Package System (in short XBPS) is a binary package system designed and implemented from scratch. Its goal is to be fast, easy to use, bug-free, featureful, and portable as much as possible. There is a well documented API provided by the XBPS Library that is the basis for its frontends, to handle binary packages and repositories.
Release Notes: This release fixes a bug that made libxbps fail to detect properly configuration files. This caused all updates in configuration files to be lost. It is now possible to properly build against an external portable proplib (with pkg-config support) and libfetch. Several compiler warnings have been enabled in the configure script (if supported by the compiler), and symbol visibility has been made dependent on configure tests. A --silent argument has been added to the configure script, hiding compilation details in the build process (disabled by default).
pwgrep is a simple password manager that manages a database file using encryption of GnuPG. It uses encryption and version control on all of the passwords that are stored. The password database can be used on several hosts at once with automatic synchronization. Even several users can share the same password database. The versioning system will keep track of who was changing which entries and at which time. The versioning system to use can be configured (and is Subversion by default). Besides passwords, pwgrep can also be used for storing a collection of files like certificates. The file shredding command for secure deleting of temporary files can be configured. A local backup of all database changes is automatically made. It can be used without a GUI (such as through an SSH session).
Release Notes: Initial freshmeat announcement.
Loadbars is a small script that can be used to observe CPU loads of several remote servers at once in real time. It connects with SSH (using SSH public/private key auth) to several servers at once and vizualizes all server CPUs and memory statistics right next each other (either summarized or each core separately). Loadbars is not a tool for collecting CPU loads and drawing graphs for later analysis. However, since such tools require a significant amount of time before producing results, Loadbars lets you observe the current state immediately. Loadbars does not remember or record any load information. It just shows the current CPU usages like top or vmstat does.
Release Notes: Initial freshmeat announcement.
