xmlrpc-c is a programming library for writing an XML-RPC server or client in C or C++. XML-RPC is a standard network protocol to allow a client program to make a simple remote procedure call (RPC) type request of a server. It's like SOAP or CORBA, but much simpler. The transactional Berkeley DB 4.2 is used as its data store and a full plug-in API allows developers to extend the the functionality of the server in many ways, and many of the core features of the server are already implemented using this API. The server is very mature, having started out as Netscape Directory Server.
Release Notes: On Fedora 14 and later, the 389 packages are built with OpenLDAP instead of Mozilla LDAP. Account Policy now keeps track of the last login and automatically disables unused accounts. Scannedonly is a samba VFS module that ensures that only files that have been scanned for viruses are visible and accessible to the end user. Scannedonly was developed because of scalability problems with samba-vscan. Scannedonly comes in two parts: a Samba VFS module and (one or more) daemons. The daemon scans files and marks them when they are known to be clean. The samba module simply filters out files that aren't marked clean.
Release Notes: ctime is now used instead of mtime, which provides a more reliable timestamp. The clamav daemon now cleans the queue if duplicate file names are requested. 'Last scannedonly' handles file rename situations better.

Mathomatic is a portable, general-purpose computer algebra system (CAS) that can solve, differentiate, simplify, combine, and compare algebraic equations, perform standard, complex number, modular, and polynomial arithmetic, etc. It does some calculus and is very easy to compile/install, learn, and use. The symbolic math application with a simple command-line interface is designed to be a colorful algebra calculator that is reliable, responsive, and convenient to use. The symbolic math library is lightweight and easy to include in other software, due to being written entirely in C with no additional dependencies.
Release Notes: Bugfixes and makefile fixes were made. An old, important bug was fixed in the Mathomatic solve routine, where solve was failing on some easy to solve equations indeterminately because of incorrect infinite loop detection code. Solving should work perfectly now. Saving and restoring expressions with NaN in them will not fail now, giving only a warning instead of an error. PDF manual creation with htmldoc (using "make pdf") was fixed and made safe. The matho-primes utility was improved.

Release Notes: Version 2.0 was the first version that made all of the special features runtime-selectable (via various MKD_ flags) but it had a reversed switch that wasn't caught because some of the test suite still depended on compile-time feature selection the test for relaxed emphasis, which tells discount to not convert _ into emphasis, was reversed).
Bluelog is a Bluetooth site survey tool, designed to tell you how many discoverable devices there are in an area as quickly as possible. Bluelog differs from most Bluetooth scanners in that it prioritizes speed of reporting over anything else (i.e. it doesn't spend time trying to pull detailed data from a device) and doesn't require any user intervention to function. As the name implies, its primary function is to log discovered devices to file rather than to be used interactively. Bluelog could run on a system unattended for long periods of time to collect data. In addition to basic scanning, Bluelog also has a unique feature called "Bluelog Live", which puts results in a constantly updating Web page which you can serve with your HTTP daemon of choice.
Release Notes: Major changes include the introduction of a proper daemon mode, logging to syslog, and use of PID files to control simultaneous running instances. Minor changes include a large reworking and fleshing out of the documentation and man page.
