Release Notes: This release fixes two bugs concerning the export of JessyInk presentations. The export should now be faster and more accurate.
slkbuild is a script inspired by makepkg from Arch that greatly simplifies the package building process in Slackware and derivatives. It parses an easy-to-create SLKBUILD meta-file and from that creates a conventional build script that follows all of the Slackware packaging standards and that can be run on its own. The advantage of using slkbuild is that it ensures package uniformity and allows for an easy-to-edit meta-file in the event that one might require customization or might need to update the script for new releases. It also makes the build process much quicker, since it takes care of downloading the source, untarring, gzipping man and info pages, stripping binaries, making sure that the menu entry for a graphical application is compliant, as well as a host of other things.
Release Notes: This release adds support for reading the $numjobs environment variable and using it as the default number of jobs when running make in build().
4MLinux is a miniature Linux distribution focusing on four capabilities: maintenance (by using it as a system rescue live CD), multimedia (for example, for playing video DVDs), miniserver (using the inetd daemon), and mystery (meaning console games).

LRZIP is a compression program and library that can achieve very high compression ratios and speed when used with large files using unlimited sized compression windows. It uses the combined compression algorithms of zpaq and lzma for maximum compression, lzo for maximum speed, and the long range redundancy reduction of rzip. It is designed to scale with increases with RAM size, improving compression further. A choice of either size or speed optimizations allows for either better compression than even lzma can provide, or better speed than gzip, but with bzip2 sized compression levels. It also has high grade password protected encryption and full STDIN/STDOUT support.
Release Notes: The Darwin build was fixed again. Cases of extreme RAM usage on 32-bit failing was fixed by limiting zpaq to 600MB windows as well. Page size is checked if possible instead of assuming it's always 4k. The progress output was improved. Failure to chmod and failure to set nice level were changed to warnings only. A distinction between stderr messages and output was standardized.
Thumbnailator is a thumbnail generation library with a fluent interface for Java. It simplifies the process of producing thumbnails from existing image files and image objects by providing an API which allows for fine tuning of thumbnail generation, while keeping the amount of code that needs to be written to a minimum.
Release Notes: Issues with saving thumbnails as a BMP image were resolved. A method to output to an OutputStream in a specified format was added. Also, some minor changes were made to the API to provide more consistent behavior and better usability.

Task Coach is a simple todo manager to manage personal tasks and todo lists. It grew out of a frustration that well-known task managers, such as those provided with Outlook or Lotus Notes, do not provide facilities for composite tasks. Often, tasks and other things to do consist of several activities. Task Coach is designed to deal with composite tasks.

MirrorBrain is a framework to run a content delivery network using mirror servers. It solves a challenge that many popular open source projects face: a flood of download requests, often magnitudes more than a single site could practically handle. A central (and probably the most obvious) part is a "download redirector" that automatically redirects requests from Web browsers or download programs to a mirror server near them. Choosing a suitable mirror for a user's request is the key, and MirrorBrain uses geolocation and global routing data to make a sensible choice and achieve load-balancing for the mirrors at the same time. The algorithm is both sophisticated and easy to control and tune. In addition, MirrorBrain monitors mirrors, scans them for files, generates mirror lists, and more.
Release Notes: MirrorBrain can now use geographical distance as additional criterion in mirror selection. Per-file mirror lists visualize the closest mirrors via Google Maps. Running behind a load balancer or other reverse proxy was tested and a bug was fixed in this regard. MirrorBrain can now be used in conjunction with a multitude of access control mechanisms available in Apache. Experimental support for restricted downloads has been implemented, by redirecting to temporary URLs whose validity can be verified by the mirrors.
psycopg is a PostgreSQL database adapter for the Python programming language. Its main advantages are that it supports the full Python DBAPI 2.0 and it is thread safe at level 2. It was designed for heavily multi-threaded applications that create and destroy lots of cursors and make a conspicuous number of concurrent INSERTs or UPDATEs. The psycopg distribution includes ZPsycopgDA, a Zope Database Adapter.
Release Notes: This release introduces many new features related to PostgreSQL 9.0. psycopg now supports two-phase commit (TCP) as specified by the PEP-249, NOTIFY payloads, and the new hstore type.

Long input lines on incoming connections are rejected. The lastseen module should only link to webadmin if the latter is loaded. Cases where HTTP requests were incorrectly dropped were fixed. Partyline was fixed to work with servers that don't send a 005 CHANTYPES. An error message from configure if dlopen() isn't found was fixed.
