KMidimon monitors events coming from a MIDI external port or application via the ALSA sequencer, or Standard MIDI Files. It is especially useful if you want to debug MIDI software or your MIDI setup. It features a nice graphical user interface, customizable event filters and sequencer parameters, support for all MIDI messages and some ALSA messages, MIDI playback, and saving the recorded event list to a text file or SMF.

Release Notes: The main change in this release is the support for parsing and playback of Cakewalk WRK files using the Drumstick library. It is possible to open files from the command line, as well as drag and drop files into the main window from a file manager.

Biogenesis simulates in a visual fashion the processes involved in the evolution of unicellular organisms in nature. It tries to be a didactic approximation to the ideas of mutation or evolution, and can be enjoyed also as an entertainment. It's intended to serve as a support to show students some basic biological facts. The idea of Biogenesis is taken from Primordial Life, but it's an independent project.

Release Notes: This release improves the organism's state and genetic codes visualization, and organisms get smaller when they have little energy.

Font Manager is a font management application for the GNOME desktop. It is not intended to be a professional-grade font management solution, but rather a simple application suitable for the needs of most desktop users and even some graphics designers who may need to manage just a few thousand font files. Although designed with the GNOME desktop environment in mind, it should work well with most major desktop environments such as XFCE, Enlightenment, and KDE.

Release Notes: This is a maintenance release. It fixes redraw/corruption issues when widgets are shown/hidden or panes are repositioned. It fixes unnecessary escapes in the treeview text column. It fixes typos affecting the way illegal XML characters are escaped. There is some code cleanup.

Free-SA is tool for statistical analysis of daemons' log files, similar to SARG. Its main advantages over SARG are much better speed (7x-20x), more support for reports, and W3C compliance of generated HTML/CSS reports. It can be used to help control traffic usage, to control Internet access security policies, to investigate security incidents, to evaluate server efficiency, and to detect troubles with configuration.

Release Notes: Hungarian localization as well as better support for Ubuntu, NetBSD, Solaris, and OpenSuSE has been added. Free-SA now works in a more correct way with FIFO files used as a log source. A new option 'server_efficiency_bytes_divisor' for enabling the bytes divisor in the server efficiency report has been added. Many warnings and typos were fixed, and some security improvements were introduced.

LionWiki is a minimalist file-based (doesn't need a database), templatable, extensible wiki engine that works from just one file (30KB). It supports page history, recent changes, interface localization, password protection (both writing pages and seeing), and much more through plugins (CAPTCHA, RSS, syntax for Tables). It's intended for small personal Web sites, notebooks, and other simple applications. Installation is very easy: just copy the file and create a directory.

Release Notes: A new RenameFix plugin that fixes links after a page move (rename). Completely reworked image handling. More advanced operations can be made with the ImageExt plugin. The core is almost completely refactored. Some limitations were removed. JavaScript autofilling of CAPTCHA has been added.

Sfront compiles MPEG 4 Structured Audio (MP4-SA) programs into efficient C programs that generate audio when executed. MP4-SA is a standard for normative algorithmic sound, which combines an audio signal processing language (SAOL) with score languages (MIDI and SASL). Under Mac OS X and Linux, sfront supports real-time, low-latency audio input/output and MIDI input. Under Mac OS X, sfront supports the creation of AudioUnit plug-ins. The documentation includes a book about SAOL programming.

managelogs is a log processing program to be used in conjunction with Apache's piped logfile feature. It is an alternative to the well known rotatelogs and cronolog programs. Its primary purpose is to solve the "log filesystem full" issue by purging the oldest log files when the total log size exceeds a given value. It can also write compressed files, maintain symbolic links to the current and archive log files, and setuid to a given user. It maintains its state across Apache restarts, and allows writing to several output channels, each one having its own configuration.

Release Notes: This release adds self-tests (make check). It has many changes to improve portability. It adds named pipe support.

Release Notes: This version fixes a number of issues affecting the client and its core components. The NX session could appear frozen if it is displayed in full screen mode, NX may have failed to show PNG images on a 16 bit-per-pixel display, and information about SMB/CIFS sharing failures may not have been reported correctly.

It analyzes BPM (beats per minute), silence at the beginning or end of a song, and the color (based on frequency spectrum) of a given song. Drumstick is a C++ wrapper around the ALSA library sequencer interface using Qt4 objects, idioms, and style. The ALSA sequencer provides software support for MIDI technology on Linux. Complementary multiplatform classes for SMF and WRK file processing are also included. This library is used in KMetronome, KMidimon, and KMid2 and was formerly known as "aseqmm".

Release Notes: This is the first release after the name change from "aseqmm". The library has been split into drumstick-alsa and drumstick-file, and a new class for parsing Cakewalk WRK files has been added.

Botan is a crypto library written in C++. It provides a variety of cryptographic algorithms, including common ones such as AES, MD5, SHA, HMAC, RSA, Diffie-Hellman, DSA, and ECDSA, as well as many others that are more obscure or specialized. It also offers SSL/TLS (client and server), X.509v3 certificates and CRLs, and PKCS #10 certificate requests. A message processing system that uses a filter/pipeline metaphor allows for many common cryptographic tasks to be completed with just a few lines of code. Assembly and SIMD optimizations for common CPUs offers speedups for critical algorithms like AES and SHA-1.

Release Notes: This version adds a SSLv3/TLSv1.0 implementation, the GOST 34.10-2001 signature scheme, and the XSalsa20 stream cipher. New countermeasures against fault attacks on signature schemes are included. New SIMD optimizations for the IDEA and Noekeon block ciphers are available, and CBC and XTS modes can now make use of cipher implementations that use SIMD. A SQLite-like amalgamation option is now available, making botan very easy to distribute in applications. The dependency on TR1 for ECC has been removed, making ECDSA/ECDH available on Windows and with older compilers.

jsonwidget is a set of libraries implementing a form interface for editing arbitrary JSON files. There are two implementations so far: jsonwidget-python, a terminal window implementation suitable for editing forms via ssh or in a local terminal window, and jsonwidget-javascript, a client-side JavaScript library that generates a basic HTML form interface in a Web browser. Application designers using one of these libraries have the option of providing a schema, limiting the input to a subset of valid JSON compatible with whatever application is actually consuming the JSON, or using a provided permissive schema that allows any valid JSON. The libraries are capable of dynamically generating a form is using nothing more than a schema and a JSON file as input.

QjackCtl is a simple Qt application to control the JACK sound server daemon, specifically for the Linux Audio Desktop infrastructure. It is written in C++ around the Qt4 toolkit for X11, most exclusively using Qt Designer. It provides a simple GUI dialog for setting several JACK daemon parameters, which are properly saved between sessions, and a way to control of the status of the audio server daemon. With time, this primordial interface has become richer by including an enhanced patchbay and connection control features.

Release Notes: This release adds an almost-complete D-Bus interface both for the JACK audio server and for its own GUI shortcuts. System tray icon bubble messages are now featured. A man page and new server name commandline option have been added.

TMAPI is a programming interface for accessing and manipulating data held in a topic map. The TMAPI specification defines a set of core interfaces which must be implemented by a compliant application, as well as a set of additional interfaces which may be implemented by a compliant application or which may be built upon the core interfaces. The goal is to define a common programming interface for all topic map processors, enabling portable code and a shorter learning curve for developers moving between topic map processers.

Release Notes: This is the first revision of the 2.0 final branch. TMAPI is deployable as an OSGi bundle now. Further, the test suite was updated and the documentation is more precise.
