No download Website 02 Nov 23:21 tailbeep 0.45

Screenshot

Tailbeep opens a file (-f), seeks to the end, and watches for a string (-s). If the string is found, a beep is sent to the specified tty (-t) device. You can also daemonize (-d) it. It was written to watch /var/log/messages for the DENY string (to catch anyone trying to break into a firewall), but you can use it to watch any open file that gets appended to. You can also create a log if you like, so you can record the events, in long or short mode. Tailbeep requires write access to one of the tty devices on the console.

Release Notes: This release adds festival support.

No download Website 02 Nov 23:21 PicoContainer 2.9

Screenshot

PicoContainer is a tiny embeddable container for Constructor Dependency Injection (CDI) Inversion of Control (IoC) Java components. There are implementations for Java, .NET, Ruby, and PHP. Simple components for PicoContainer do not have to extend, implement, or throw anything. They also do not ship with XML declarations.

Release Notes: Lifecycle strategy allows for the concept of lazy starting. This means that components are started at first access. Regex collecting of components for injection, or just on getComponent(), is now built in. Injection of a null parameter has been fixed. There are small performance improvements for getAdapter. Dependencies for Log4J and SLF4J have been moved forward. An exception in Lifecycle methods bug has been fixed. PicoBuilder is able to do more with Lifecycle strategies. Factory Injection has been improved with an 'InjectInto' type.

Download No website 02 Nov 21:09 SabreDAV 1.0

Screenshot

It supports most of the common clients, including the Mac OS X Finder, the Windows XP/Vista Explorer, DavFS2, Cadaver, NetDrive, and WebDrive. It supports class 1, 2, and 3 WebDAV servers. It implements RFC2518 and revisions from RFC4918. It also implements RFC2617 (Basic/Digest auth).

Release Notes: This release adds a SimpleDirectory class that allows creating static directory structures with ease. Events must now explicitly return false to stop execution. Before, execution would be stopped by anything loosely evaluating to false. Auth plugins are no longer included. They were not yet stable quality, so they will probably be reintroduced in a later version. Many new events have been added. Copy and Move could fail in the root directory. This is now fixed.

No download Website 02 Nov 18:54 SIDE 2.0.111

Screenshot

Sustainable IDE (SIDE) is a set of graphical tools for developers who want to build sustainable software. Sustainable software is software you can extend easily, from a functional or technological point of view. On one hand, this means that when a user has a new requirement, it's easy for any developer to add it, even if the original author is not there anymore. On another hand, if you want to change the underlying technologies, you don't need to rewrite your existing application from scratch. Sustainable Software gives you the freedom to change technology, requirements, or achitecture. This can be achieved thanks to the use of models in a model driven software development (MDSD) paradigm.

Release Notes: Various bugs have been corrected. Concerning the design module, impact analysis is done correctly when updating a class model used in forms models, a branding version with a customized perspective is available, and classes and views can be associated correctly. Concerning the generation module, the cleaning stage is now ok, a headless mode is available for batch and test purposes, the generation report is available even when generation fails, and read-only forms are generated in the same time as normal ones. Concerning the deployment module, the Birt deployer fails gracefully if Birt Webapps is not already deployed.

Download No website 02 Nov 15:26 XorCurses 0.1.2

Screenshot

XorCurses is a game based entirely on Xor by Astral Software. The original game was released around 1987 for the 8-bit home computers popular at the time. XorCurses attempts to faithfully recreate that game for Linux, but slightly ironically, uses ASCII characters instead of pixel based graphics (which even the 8-bit computers could manage). The idea of Xor is to roam around a series of mazes collecting masks. The first level is simply a matter of finding your way around, but the second level introduces fish and chickens which block your path or kill you if they hit you. From there on in, things get progressively tougher and really is a challenging and difficult puzzle game.

Release Notes: Nasty bugs were fixed in teleport code. An improvement was brought to xor_move struct from XorGramana. Minor UI changes were made.
