GPX Viewer is a simple program to visualize a GPX file. It uses libchamplain and cairo for the plot. It can show multiple GPX files, show waypoints and multiple tracks per GPX file, highlight a selected track, show a speed vs. time graph, and show distance, duration, average, moving average, max speed, moving time, and GPS points. It supports zooming, smoothing of the speed graph, and highlighting points in a speed graph on a map.

Release Notes: Vala native support via automake 1.11. Parsing of the GPX file for some locales has been fixed.

Botan is a crypto library written in C++. It provides a variety of cryptographic algorithms, including common ones such as AES, MD5, SHA, HMAC, RSA, Diffie-Hellman, DSA, and ECDSA, as well as many others that are more obscure or specialized. It also offers SSL/TLS (client and server), X.509v3 certificates and CRLs, and PKCS #10 certificate requests. A message processing system that uses a filter/pipeline metaphor allows for many common cryptographic tasks to be completed with just a few lines of code. Assembly and SIMD optimizations for common CPUs offers speedups for critical algorithms like AES and SHA-1.

Release Notes: This release fixes build problems affecting SPARC, HP-PA, and ARM processors. The Python configure script now supports stock CPython 2.4. A bug causing Skein-512 to crash if given a zero-length input vector was fixed.

bpython is an enhanced Python interactive interpreter that uses curses and provides the following main features: in-line syntax highlighting; readline-like autocompletion with suggestions displayed as you type; expected argument specification for functions; a handy pastebin function to quickly submit your code and return a URL. Its goal is to bring together a few handy ideas to enhance the standard interpreter without getting carried away.

Release Notes: This is a general bugfix release, plus a few extra enhancements to parenthesis highlighting and extended key configurability, plus tab completion for filenames when inside a string.

surl is a URL shortening command line application that supports various sites. It supports stdin or filename input. It grabs the URLs, converts them, and returns the same text that was used in the input. It is known to work with a wealth of services, such as bit.ly, tinyurl.com, and tr.im.

Release Notes: This release includes a new wrapper file, surl.py, for the bin/surl script. It also has the correct order of long arguments (--quiet was in the wrong place). A note for packagers: the shebang is now "/usr/bin/python".

Thread Safe Template Library (TSTL) is a C++ library that provides thread-safe containers with high grade of locking. It includes classes for multimaps based on a B-tree and a hash table. It also includes classes for a queue, a priority queue, a pipe, an alloccache, a timercache, a limitcache without global locking, and a fast shared mutual exclusion locker (also known as "rwlock" or "wmrg"). It's useful for writing multi-threaded applications, network services, and operating system components with high requirements for interactivity level.

Release Notes: An assembler file for the MS x64 platform was replaced by a C file. New type redefinitions for standard types were deleted. Dependence on MS interlocked declarations was greatly decreased. Platform independence was greatly increased. Isolation by filename, defines names, and other declaration names were made better. Compatibility with existing projects was increased.

M.A.M.E. Catalog / Launcher II (also referred to as QMC2) is the successor of one of the first XMAME GUI frontends available, QMamecat (derived from MAMECAT, which was text-only). QMC2 has been rebuilt from scratch as a Qt 4 project. Parts of the design and code were inspired by its predecessor. The new design was made as flexible as possible to minimize dependencies from frontend- and CLI-related MAME changes, which was a major deficiency of QMamecat. QMC2 uses a template-based MAME configuration scheme, which can easily be enhanced with additional command line options (defined in an XML template file).

Release Notes: Built-in support for dynamic loading of Qt style sheets, support for PCB images as an additional game/machine detail, a new MAWS quick download feature (supports manual and automatic downloads of images that are usable by QMC2), greatly improved download retry logic and timing, and an enhanced ghost image with rounded corners and a semi-transparent shadow.

This driver allows the Linux kernel to use the ATA over Ethernet (AoE) network protocol. Using AoE, a Linux system can use AoE block devices like EtherDrive (R) storage blades. The block devices appear as local device nodes (e.g. /dev/etherd/e0.0).

Release Notes: Premature timeout of a command reassigned to a new local network interface was avoided. Support for 2.6.30 Linux kernels was added, and compatibility with kernels older than 2.6.11 was repaired.

Debian packaging utilities for Truecrypt source helps to get Truecrypt running with a minimum of effort under Debian-based Linux systems (Debian and Ubuntu are officially supported). Truecrypt is an open source disk encryption software which uses a concept of containers to store encrypted data. The containers (or volumes) can be read transparently under Linux and Windows. The utilities create installable *.deb packages from the sources and those debs can be used in turn to install the encryption software.

Release Notes: This minor release raised the kernel version to 2.6.30. Minor improvements were made in manual pages and within the sources. The Debian policy was upgraded to 3.8.2.

libguestfs is a set of tools for accessing and modifying virtual machine (VM) disk images. You can use this for viewing and editing files inside guests, scripting changes to VMs, monitoring disk used/free statistics, P2V, V2V, performing partial backups, cloning VMs, and much more. libguestfs can access nearly any type of filesystem including: all known types of Linux filesystem (ext2/3/4, XFS, btrfs, etc.), any Windows filesystem (VFAT and NTFS), any Mac OS X and BSD filesystems, LVM2 volumes, MBR and GPT disk partitions, raw disks, qcow2, CD and DVD ISO images, SD cards, and dozens more. libguestfs doesn't need root permissions.

Release Notes: This release added a 'virt-df' program that runs the 'df' operation over all your virtual machines and a 'virt-cat' program that lists files inside a virtual machine. Remote support for guestfish was added. Builds are now available for Debian.

Cgictrl is a CGI framework for Ruby. It allows you to use the structure of a mainframe program (like on IBM's CICS) with CGI. Programs are selected by transaction codes, and the CGI program indicates the next transaction code to continue the conversation process. Basically, one CGI program sends only one kind of view, and processes input data from only this view. Each program can store internal data in a SPA (Scratch Pad Area) on the server, which is allocated uniquely per session.

It is frame and sample accurate, can handle almost all types of video, and is fully extendable through plugins and the included plugin builder tool. It can also be controlled remotely using OSC.

Release Notes: Fixes were made for the joystick/MIDI learner. Crashes after recording audio for selection and after deleting then replacing audio were fixed. A recent bug in selection encoding was fixed. Multitrack GUI and theme refinements were made. There is now an initial translation to Hebrew, and updated translations to Brazilian Portuguese, Italian, Czech, Japanese, and Slovak.

MyPaint is a program for painting images from scratch. It supports pressure sensitive graphic tablets and comes with an easy to use brush collection. There is a complex interface for creating your own brushes, focusing on brush dynamics (changes with speed, pressure, or randomly). The canvas size is unlimited, and undo and layers are supported.

Release Notes: This is a bugfix release without any new features worth mentioning. Screen artifacts seen by Compiz users were fixed by limiting the cursor size. Windows specific bugs were fixed; a recent Windows binary is available again.

LemonLDAP::NG is a modular Web SSO based on Apache::Session modules. It simplifies the building of a protected area with a few changes in the application. It manages both authentication and authorization and provides headers for accounting, so you can have full AAA protection for your Web space. LemonLDAP::NG is a complete rewrite of LemonLDAP. All components needed to use it and to administer it are included in the tarball. However, all modules developed for LemonLDAP may not work with LemonLDAP::NG.

Release Notes: An LDAP backend is used for configuration and session storage. A portal can be a Perl expression in handlers. POST requests are generated in a handler, which is used to post login and password information in incompatible applications. New auth and userDB modules were added for the portal: Multi, Remote, and Null (for UserDB only). A new module system is used for passwords. A notification system was added. A double session mechanism was added, where one session is secured and the other is not. New functions were added for rules: checkLogonHours and checkDate.

Release Notes: This version improves the processing of ideographic characters using UTF-8. Due to changes in the system, you can use LogicalDOC in the Chinese and Greek languages, indexing and searching for documents in non-Latin languages. The changes affected only the software, so you can install this new version directly on an existing deployment. Also, browsing by tag has been improved with the ability to search on a manually entered character.
