Music Player Daemon (MPD) is a server that allows remote access for playing music in various formats and managing playlists. It makes a great desktop player with frontend options (Qt, GTK, ncurses, Windows, and Web clients are available). It is also appropriate as a console player that is scriptable, and is especially useful if X is restarted frequently. A set of rapid development tools for clients are being developed and include a C library, Python module, PHP class, Perl module, and Java Class. The goals are to be easy to install and use, to have minimal resource requirements, to be stable and flexible, and easy to interface.

Release Notes: This release includes fixed Mac OS X compilation, an assertion fix in the FLAC decoder, the split second "resume playback during pause", and a double free() on shutdown.

GLPI (Gestion Libre de Parc Informatique) is an information resource manager with an administration interface. You can use it to build a database with an inventory for your company (computers, software, printers, etc.). It has functions to make the daily life of the administrators easier, including a job/request tracking system with mail notification and methods to build a database with basic information about your network topology. It provides a precise inventory of all the technical resources (all their characteristics are stored in a database) and management and history of the maintenance actions and the bound procedures. It is dynamic and is directly connected to the users, who can post requests to the technicians.

ClanLib is a cross-platform game SDK currently supporting Windows and Linux. It provides easy-to-use interfaces for 2D graphics, input, sound, resources, networking, GUI, OpenGL, and more. The goal is to provide a game SDK that does all the dirty work that all modern games need to implement anyway, thus making the game developer concentrate on the gameplay instead of reinventing the wheel over and over again.

Release Notes: This release contains a brand new display target, the GL1, which works on pre-OpenGL 2.0 cards. It is still under development. The CTalk example has now become a usable IRC client and has a brand new name: Carambola Chat. A new example demonstrating clanDatabase/clanSqlite was added: SQL. Advanced use of framebuffers (canvas) is now demonstrated in the CanvasAdvanced example. There are many bugfixes and other enhancements as well.

EiffelStudio is an IDE for the Eiffel language (ECMA-367, ISO/IEC 25436, and ACM Software System Award 2006). It includes: Eiffel compiler, Eiffel editor, Eiffel code browsing tool, Eiffel testing tool, graphical design tool, refactoring tool, debugger, profiler, and Eiffel analysis tools (Metrics, Dependencies, etc.). Eiffel generates C or CLI for .NET or Mono. Eiffel applies O-O principles and Design by Contract for high-quality software. Many Eiffel libraries are included: ADT, network, GUI, database, parsing (including an Eiffel parser), XML, Web, COM, and more.

Release Notes: Some bugfixes and improvements to the new output tool were made. Some mismatches between the classic version and the .NET version of TYPE/MANAGED_POINTER were resolved. An issue has been fixed where one could not debug an application if the 'executable_name' specified in the ECF contained the .exe suffix on Windows.

uperf is a network performance tool that supports modelling and replay of various networking patterns. It represents the next generation benchmarking tools (like filebench) where instead of running a fixed benchmark or workload, a description (or model) of the workload is provided and the tool generates the load according to the model. By distilling the benchmark or workload into a model, you can do various things like change the scale of the workload, change different parameters, change protocols, etc and analyse the effect of these changes on your model. You can also study the effect of interleaving CPU activity, or think times or the use of SSL instead of TCP, among many other things.

Release Notes: This is mainly a bugfix release.

OIOSAML.Java is a Java-based service provider for SAML 2.0. It was profiled for the Danish OIOSAML 2.0 profile, but it works in generic SAML 2.0 Web SSO environments too.

Release Notes: This release contains a refactored internal API that makes it easier to support protocols other than SAMLP. New features: a /saml/certificate endpoint where the SP certificate can be downloaded online, and a developer mode where no redirects are issued. See the developer docs for information.

LavaPE is a programming environment for the experimental object-oriented programming language Lava. It replaces text editing with structure editing, thereby preventing all syntactic and many semantic errors. The pure point-and-click nature of Lava programming and the concise representation of programs as declaration trees with small chunks of executable code simplify programming, and ease comprehension.

Release Notes: The user interface of the Lava Programming Environment LavaPE and of the Lava interpreter is no longer based on the MDI (Multiple Document Interface) concept but on tabbed and splitter widgets, which provide more neatly arranged, non-overlapping windows. The state/value object distinction has been slightly revised once more. "Virtual types" may be declared "final" now. Lava has been ported to Mac OS.

safecopy is a data recovery tool which tries to extract as much data as possible from a seekable but problematic (i.e., damaged sectors) source like floppy drives, hard disk partitions, CDs, etc., where other tools like dd would fail due to I/O errors.

Release Notes: Some compilation issues on AMD-64 systems have been fixed and the test suite shipped with safecopy has been rewritten to be more modular, portable, and reusable. There are also some fixed typos in safecopy documentation, program output, and code. Base functionality wise, however, this release behaves the same as version 1.3. Therefore, for end users, upgrading from 1.3 to 1.4 is optional. Package maintainers are encouraged to validate their 1.3 binary with the 1.4 test suite, should the old test suite have failed to compile or execute. The tests themselves are binary compatible between the versions.

Release Notes: When Metronome Intro was enabled, the bass score was active, and you chose to start playing from a bar that didn't exist in the guitar score (because it was shorter than the bass one), a crash occurred. This has been fixed. A crash that occurred when playing scores incorrectly containing Guitar In symbols for non-defined guitars has been fixed.

Some of its features include ray tracing, global illumination, motion blur, depth of field, subdivision surfaces, programmable shaders, quality antialiasing, and antialiased multi-depth shadow maps. The API and the shading language are very similar to what is described in the RenderMan interface documentation.

Release Notes: This release includes support for RSL 2.0 (shader objects and co-shaders) and further ray-tracing optimizations that should give significant performance gains when rendering displacements and motion-blur.

absence is a calendar tool for keeping track of people (but could be adapted for any other object) on a daily basis. It is meant to replace that ubiquitous whiteboard in the office of the boss. You know the one, where someone has used a permanent magic marker to mark a matrix, and vacations/training/etc. are marked with non-permanent markers as blocks. absence is a CGI system, and has a resolution of one day. It is not intended to be used for keeping appointments or any other activity that requires a finer resolution. It generates an image for each month to be displayed using the GD library, and it can be configured to produce PNG or GIF (or even JPEG).

Release Notes: This release has many changes. Data is stored in a relational database (PostgreSQL). Multiple reservations can be entered per person per day, if configured. Reservation types are managed using the manage Web page, instead of editing a file. There are other bugfixes and improvements.

P4A_Dir_Source was refactored. Oracle's LOBs are now supported. P4A_Object's ID generation algorithm was changed for better performance and compatibility with Windows servers. GAMGI (General Atomistic Modelling Graphic Interface) is a program to build, view, and analyze atomic strucures such as molecules, crystals, glasses, liquids, etc. It aims to be useful for: the scientific community working in Atomistic Modelling that needs a graphic interface to build input data and to view and analyse output data, calculated with Ab-Initio and Molecular Mechanics programs; the scientific community at large studying chemistry, physics, materials science, geology, etc., that needs a graphic interface to view and analyse atomic structural information and to prepare images for presentations in classes and seminars; teaching chemistry and physics in secondary schools and universities; science promotion in schools, exhibitions and science museums.

Release Notes: A couple of bugs were fixed in chem and gtk code, including a nasty brown paper bag that crashed the new polytope code in many systems. Everything that can be measured with Atom->Measure can now be modified with the new Atom->Modify dialog. The oldest dialog in Gamgi, Group->Modify, has been replaced by a new dialog to modify Groups, including polytopes.
