Release Notes: Full support for the LPAQ5 format was added. A "file compare" tool was added for byte to byte file comparison. Archive browsing speed was optimized. The "Tango" and "CrystalC" themes were updated. Other various fixes and updates were done.

KAlarm lets you schedule personal messages to display, audio files to play, commands to execute, or emails to send. Among its options, it allows you to choose the message font and color, recurrence schedule, whether to display an advance reminder, whether to speak the message or play a sound when it is displayed, and whether to cancel the alarm if it can't be triggered on time (e.g. if you are logged out at the time). As well as using the graphical interface to configure alarms, you can use the command line, and there is a D-Bus/DCOP interface for other applications.

Release Notes: A failure to trigger some recurring date-only alarms was fixed. Repetitive triggering of other date-only alarms was fixed. The maximum time-from-now value was extended to 999 hours. Other bugs were fixed. A Korean translation was added.

Qlix is a small tool written with Qt and libmtp to communicate with MTP Basic enabled devices. It strives to have a simple UI interface, a small memory footprint, and a low dependency count (STL, Qt 4.2, TagLib, and LibMTP).

Release Notes: A more intelligent (but still stupid) method of looking for albumart was added. Numerous bugs were fixed. The program no longer segfaults with Qt 4.3.1. A little code clean-up was done.

AqBanking is a modular and generic interface to online banking tasks, financial file formats (import/export), and bank/country/currency information. AqBanking uses backend plugins to actually perform the online tasks. HBCI, OFX DirectConnect, and EBICS are currently supported. AqBanking is used by GnuCash, KMyMoney, Pecunia, AqBanking-CLI, and QBankManager.

Release Notes: This release fixes some bugs in AqHBCI. It is now more tolerant when checking the name of a remote signer since the security does not come from the signer name but from the signature.

KSquirrel is an image viewer for KDE with KEXIF and KIPI support. Image loading is based on external codecs (ksquirrel-libs). Customized filters, external programs, a file tree, thumbnails, extended thumbnails with the information on the image, a DCOP interface, preview window, Opera-like tabs, Konqueror integration, and flexible options are available. Since version 0.7.0-pre1, KIPI support is also available. It currently supports 57 image formats, including Photoshop PSD, CRW, DXF, WMF, MNG, SVG, JPEG2000, and APNG.

Reft stands for "Ridiculously Easy File Transfer", and is a file transfer program without hassles. All that's required is for two parties to load Reft. One person sends a file, the other person accepts the file, and that's it.

Release Notes: Streaming MP3 support was made better. MP3 decoding code was borrowed from JLayer to extract the bitrate, so the server knows the proper amount of time to wait before sending the next song.

The built in Python engine is now 30 times faster. Optional sounds were added. A comments side panel was added to help you explain the moves made. Pychess now use Launchpad Rosetta for i18n.

Mpmath is a pure-Python library for arbitrary-precision floating-point arithmetic. It implements the standard functions from Python's math and cmath modules (exp, log, sin, etc.), plus a few nonelementary special functions (gamma, zeta, etc.), and has utilities for arbitrary-precision numerical differentiation, integration, root-finding, and interval arithmetic. It supports unlimited exponent sizes, has full support for complex numbers, and offers better performance than Python's standard decimal library. Mpmath is lightweight and easy to install or include in other software due to being written entirely in Python with no additional dependencies.

Release Notes: String conversion has been rewritten to use integer arithmetic instead of Decimals, which makes it an order of magnitude faster; basic arithmetic speed has also been improved by 15%. Division now uses a rigorous algorithm for directed rounding (it previously got the last bit wrong with a 0.01% probability). Some functions have been added or renamed, and the unit tests have been made more exhaustive.

OpenCards is flashcard learning software. The basic idea of OpenCards is to use PowerPoint presentations (*.ppt) as flashcard sets. Slide titles are considered questions and the slide contents their answers. Based on state-of-the-art memorization and scheduling algorithms, OpenCards will help you learn any set of flashcards.

Release Notes: Importing of flashcards was implemented. The long-term learning manager was simplified and the underlying long-term learning algorithm was further tuned towards higher retention rates. The overall stability was improved by taking more care of OpenOffice events. OpenCards will now detect changes in card-sets automatically. The user interface for last-minute-learning was completely overhauled. A wiki was started on www.opencards.info, which allows users to share their flashcard files with other users.

ccgfs is a transport-agnostic network filesystem using FUSE. Transport is arranged by helper programs, such as SSH. The PUSH transport mode acts like a "reverse" NFS and makes it possible to export a filesystem from a firewalled host without defeating the security model.

Release Notes: pread and pwrite syscalls are now used and large writes greater than 8K are properly handled.

Release Notes: The splash screen tool selection interface was changed. A navigation menu scheme has been adopted. ranish.img was removed from the CD. The Ranish Partition Manager has been integrated into FreeDos. This is because of the fact that Ranish Partition Manager would not execute as a standalone floppy image. "Super Grub Disk" was added to the available tools. The floppy image provided by "Super Grub Disk" (English version) has been added to the source tarball.

The Glasgow Haskell Compiler is a robust, fully-featured, optimising compiler for the functional programming language Haskell. GHC compiles Haskell to either native code or C. It implements numerous experimental language extensions to Haskell for example concurrency, a foreign language interface, several type-system extensions, exceptions, and so on. GHC comes with a generational garbage collector, a space and time profiler, and a comprehensive set of libraries.

Release Notes: Haskell Program Coverage (hpc) support has been added to the compiler. GHCi now includes a debugger. The first phase of the base package split has been done. The code generator now uses pointer tagging (which should mean most code improves by 10-15%, and as a result the compiler is also faster).

xhtml2pdf converts HTML/XHTML/XHML to PDF using the ReportLab Toolkit, the HTML5lib, and pyPdf. It supports HTML 5 and CSS 2.1 (and some of CSS 3). The main benefit of this tool that a user with Web skills like HTML and CSS is able to generate PDF templates very quickly without learning new technologies.

Release Notes: Some problems with wrong @page and @frame definitions were fixed. The -pdf-frame-box property was added. A pre-parser was implemented for CSS that cleans up the code with some regular expressions. The online demo was improved. A binary Windows command line version was added. Some issues with named anchors were fixed. Empty documents are now delivered correctly. An error on list types was fixed. A problem with debugging information was fixed.
